Since we are on a type of "On Hold" for now until the GM can clear some time for us, I thought I might take the time to keep things current by throwing up a little personal info, and say where I see my character going in this game once we get higher in levels.
I'm 44 years old, living in north Texas (Dallas). I have been gaming (RPGs) since the mid-eighties (Basic D&D). This is my very first PBP game however and I appreciate any leeway you guys are willing to throw my way here. As you can see I can usually post at least once every day, but multiple posts are sometimes possible at times as well. So far I think we are working well together, and that our characters have definite 3 dimensions being developed.
Future: I have Karmid designed to be a melee specialist and heavy damage dealer. His goal at the moment is to master the Thunder and Fang style of fighting (Using an Earthbreaker and Klar together at once.) I will see where he goes from there once he masters that. Probably Power Attack and Cleave type stuff...but we will see.
So what about you guys? Where do you see your characters going further along from here once we have a few levels under our belts?

Cool! I'm turning 31 next week (the 9th), live outside of Washington, DC (though I was in Houston up until two years ago for grad school) and have been playing in a bunch of PbPs in the last few years. I'm also a freelance writer and have even had credits in a few Paizo-published books.
Character-wise, I expect to use Pehmah's flowing monk and Iron Mountain abilities in concert to stand in one place during battle and try to redirect as many attacks as possible to opponents. The more she's surrounded, the more bonuses she'll have to her AC, so she'll wade right into battle, use Acrobatics to avoid AOOs from movement, and then stand still and pummel the baddies into submission.

I too, am 30, and I live in the north end of California. No, that does not mean I am close to San Francisco. I'm about an hour from Oregon, and five hours from San Fran. It's a big state! I've been gaming since I was ten, and have been playing in PbP for a long time. Only recently did I start looking for games here on the Paizo site.
Xarmas is a melee druid, and, while she can be a little standoffish, she just wants to be accepted. She will eventually be staying in Wild Shape more often than not.

Milton McMurray |
My name is L.R. and I'm an RPG addict...
Sorry couldn't resist. :) I just turned 45 (on the 24th) and I think my warranty expired. I've got the flu, as does my wife and our special needs son. That's half the house down, three more kids to go.
I've been playing RPGs since the early 90s but took a long break after getting married. Only restarted four or five years ago. I live in Charlotte, NC. Prior to that I was in Gainesville, FL for 17 years.
I see Milton going Evangelist eventually which will progress his arcane spell-casting as well and him being the main healer as well as arcane caster.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing guys. I PM'd Nikolai...hopefully he is still planing on playing.
@Pehmah: I have a few writing credits myself. My latest was in Wayfinder #13 (Witchcraft Of Ustalav) I'd love to read some of your stuff. PM me?
@Xarmas: I lived on Travis AFB for almost 2 years back in the 90s so I know exactly where you are coming from. My wife is from Oregon and we drove down the coast once...and it took much longer than I ever expected to reach San Francisco.
=)
@Arkon: I've always wanted to visit Australia! My wife loves to watch documentaries on how deadly all the animals are down there. Give me a Texas rattlesnake any day in comparison. (They at least try and warn you away before they strike!)
@Milton: Greetings L.R. RPG Addicts Anonymous (RPGAA) would be a cool place to meet new gamers if you could get a way with it, not to mention the snack table would be the best one in town! BTW: My 44th birthday was this last Sat (the 27th)...was yours as bad as mine? My family just got over several illnesses ourselves. As a matter of fact I had to take my 2 year old son to the ER on Sat night with a 104.8 fever...I so hate ER waiting rooms... but he's better now thank God.
;-)

@Karmid get her to look up 2 spiders.. probably the most commonly encountered.. the red back (deadly poisonous and likes to hang in toilets, boots etc) and the wolf spider (not deadly at all.. but can get huge and likes hanging in houses and it's furry and jumps when frightened. . Responsible for scaring many people.. turn on lights and this giant hairy thing is right next to your hand.. )
Xarmas Misinirith |
Karmid, you probably know where Eureka is then. I'm right up that way.

You've got me beat on that one. No ER trips for us. It does get better the older they get. We had a lot more ER trips when the kids were young. Youngest now is 10 and oldest is 18. We're only in the ER about once a year now and that's usually our special needs child. They used to all know us by name.
Karmid Groundbreaker |
@Arkon: OH My...She would hate that! She's extremely arachnophobic!
=)
@ Xarmas: I recall the region fondly. Very beautiful! (Good TV show too.)
@ Milton: Yeah I have a 23 year old son from a previous marriage that only ends up in the hospital every couple of years luckily. I just gotta find a better ER to go to from now on personally.

Patience is a virtue right?

Hmmm...
"Just keep swimming...swimming...swimming..."
Arkon the Thunderer |
if this game is not going forward can we shut it down please?

Here.
Nikolai has been absent for quite a while from what I can tell.
Not sure why.

Life Happens...THEN you roleplay!
Always gotta play what life deals you sir.
Xarmas Misinirith |
Better than starting, and then having a break. You get more people to lose interest that way, than with a late start. No worries!
Karmid Groundbreaker |
Hah! Ready to kill some more Goblins!!
Ready when you are GM!
GM Amsheagar |
Okay.... with my life the way it is right now... I need to cut back on my online activities. Last night it was made clear to me that i can't do 50 things with my two hands... So i am dropping out of playing on the other table and i am stopping DMing this game. I will wrap up the other games that i am running soon, so i will be taking a break from GMing once those are done.
I have spoken to another GM, who said that he might grab one of you to be my replacement in his game and i have sent him a message of who i thought would fill my characters roll in.. If you don't get picked, i am sorry.
Once again, i am sorry for doing this... but i have to worry about life and get that straight before i can worry about fun. Once again, i am sorry.
