Kargas is gonna have some feelings about Flor being gone in a minute, and his player will miss Gummy.

That said, do we want to recruit a new divine caster to our party? This campaign has been heavy enough on curses & permanent effects that not having a cleric/oracle around seems like a terrible idea.

As one who has borne the brunt of several of those effects and is currently at 4% health, Guiness is strongly in favor of getting someone with magical cures and remedies in the party.

So 3/4 are interested in a replacement player? Are you guys suuuure you don't want to continue with four? There's always scrolls and other consumables to deal with not having a cleric/oracle.

If we do want an additional player, I'd like to avoid public recruitment. Do you folks have anyone you know who is a solid, reliable and active player who is looking to jump in midway through RotRL? That's what I'd be looking for.

Ditto the above. This first AP of all APs is probably built along the idea of classical party composition (Cleric, Fighter, Magic-user, and Thief). I think we need at least half a cleric-type character to go with our warpriest.

As for who to pick, I'm gonna have to think about that.

And for COVID wishes, thanks. I haven't slept for 16 hours like did last year, but I left lunch cooling on the stove and nearly filled up with ethanol in my non-ethanol Escape, so there's that. This Saturday was the worst so far I just sat in my office chair holding my aching head for the day and have felt more clear-headed since. I was eligible for monoclonal antibody therapy so depending on my doctor's advice (I'm in between vaccine shots) I might go in and have that done tomorrow.

I could go either way, but we would need some serious healing magic item help without another healer, I think...Case in point—Guiness has over 100 hp damage and 2 negative levels after that fight...

...five years ago. I know we, as a player group and party of characters have had some ups and downs, different looks, and a few different cast members (and possibly even more GMs XD), but it has been an amazing time :) After almost 1250 posts with her, tbh, it is a little bit like letting go of a part of myself!

GM, thank you for arranging such a great send off, it felt really good to have Flo's end match the meaning the character and this group has/had for me.

Hey everyone! While I never got to play with Flor, I am in several campaigns with Gummy Bear (that they're also in the process of transitioning out of), and I'm definitely going to miss playing with them. I've got pretty big shoes to fill and I'm grateful for the opportunity to play with all of you again.

Cellion and Guinness I all know from the very first AP group I was accepted into, and Kellek's player was in the very first PFS game I played in here on the boards. I even play with Colvyn in another game, lol. Kargas I know IRL, and it's their fault I'm here on the boards to begin with. Look forward to playing through this iconic AP with all of you.

YAY! It works! Now I won't have to create such funny, and interesting posts so that I can track the thread via my "Favorited by Others" tab! You are hearing it here first! Kellek is just going for plain, old, procedural blandness from now on! No more pointed, sarcastic, or sardonic wizarding for him! Cellion, I was auditing my sheet and found that I accidentally assigned two background ranks to Fly. I took those out, then decided to remove all my ranks from Handle Animal and put them into Lore (Blood hags). Finally, I realized I had misread how Sacred Summons works, so I switched it out for Expanded Summon Monster. A total list of everything I'm allowed to summon is in a spoiler at the top of my profile, and any non-standard summons I have are marked as such.

I'll probably replace it later with a nicer looking spreadsheet, but there it is.

No last-minute prep from Guiness, other than to maybe stock up on some extra rations and see if we have any magic items that need to be distributed.

I think we have a wand, a dagger, and an amulet to identify yet from the lamia, plus some other loot from the ogres that might prove useful.

Kellek would have recognized the mystery items as a wand of scorching ray (22 charges), a +1 keen dagger, and another warding star medallion.

Well, Kellek got boots, and some healing potions out of the ogres. He can pretty much use all of the above, but others should have a look first. Also, we might want to see where we all are on personal wealth.

I don't know who has what, but for right now I have anything with straight up money value as "Loot", healing potions as "Keep", and everything else as "???", which means we need to put Sell or a PC's name against. I'm actually not too worried if Kargas dies; I have him in an IRL game as well (the online Kargas took 4 tries to finally get Cellion and keep the game going past Book 1) so if Online Kargas gets killed I can at the least try out a different character build.

Guiness has the “Desert Dweller” racial trait, which gives him cold and fire resistance 1, so he should be fine in temperatures that are not cold enough to do actual lethal damage.

I think fighting in the cave is actually better for us, because they're all Large and unless all the caverns and caves are enormous they'll be more hemmed in. Out here we could get swarmed and also have our backs to a cliff, going from the map.

Guiness is ready to knock some ogre heads, and he would prefer to have them constrained by the cave walls as well, if possible, especially if he can find a good place to establish his Defensive Stance.
