Hey all, I want to apologize. I am at a conference for work and thought I would have more time to do postings but they basically have things booked from sun up to sun down. I’m not going to be able to post until tomorrow night. But after that we can continue rolling.
In the module it is classified as a “NE Large undead” because of this I made a judgement call that it wasn’t.... It is the same with the wolves you faced in the room before, they are classified as undead and not animals.... From outside the mausoleum those wolves are classified as animals...
Now this is a D&D 3/3.5 book, is it different in pathfinder?
Elf Cleric of Fharlanghn 1 ~ AC 18 (t 13, ff 15) | F +3, R +3, W +4 (+2 vs. enchants) | Init +3 | Percep: 4 |BoL: 5/5 | AF: 2/5 | Channel: 3/5 | HP: 9/9
This may be a unique monster made for this module, in which case I can't say. But if most people were to build this monster from scratch in Pathfinder, I would start with a regular ogre (which has the giant sub-type), and then apply the zombie monster template. According to the rules of this template, it keeps any pre-existing types and sub-types in addition to its new zombie template.
The dwarven ability gives the AC boost to any creature with a giant subtype, so it would still apply to zombie giant-kin.
I did some looking and even though it keeps the type/subtype the prebuilt examples have them listed as undead. Because of this Brunner would have had that +4 to his AC and would not have taken that hit for 16 HP.
Previously the majority of my posts happened while I was at work. I worked third shift at a treatment facility. I used the boards as a tool to help keep myself awake. I have recently left that job and am now looking for employment.
I'm trying to balance RL responsibilities with the games I'm in, but I no longer have eight hours that I'm sitting at the computer looking for something to do. Between the stress of RL and attempting to find a balance in schedule the quantity and quality of my posting rate has suffered.
I'm planning on staying in the games I'm presently in and I appreciate everyone's patience while I figure out how to make it work.
Real life takes priority. I wish you luck in the job hunt.
If at anytime you need to take a pause from the game to get everything squared away at home don’t hesitate to let me know, I would run Brunner the best I can during that time.
I'm not quite sure how well I'm doing 'prioritizing.' It's 9:30 Monday morning and I'm sitting here at my computer, instead of on my way to 'the unemployment office' :-(
GM RelicBlackOUT quick question on the timing of the attack, did it happen immediately or would Brunner have had time to put his armor back on. He would have taken it off to climb the ladder.

If we survive this, since we are back on the surface. I suggest we head back to town, maybe get the priestess at the church to heal us. Then see if they have a wand of CLW for sale. Then rest a night to get back our daily stuff before heading back here and going back down the ladder.
@Brunner if Brunner had started putting on his armor once he got to the top off the ladder then he would have it on now. Had he waited long he might not have it on at this time...

I like the dwarven half-plate, but the full plate would be much more practical, doesn't he have to have it resized though to fit a dwarf?
I think the resizing is just hand waved so long as it's the same size. (Small to Small, Medium to Medium, etc.). That's how I've always seen it done, but I wasn't able to find anything specific in a quick search.
Do you want me to go ahead and place an order? If we find more plate, we can sell the MW and recoup some of the losses. But with +3 over the half-plate is doesn't make sense not to upgrade.
place the order and pick it up after we find the necromancer
That's what I figured, hopefully the smith can use the armor as collateral, so we won't be out anything up front.
edit: I miss counted it's only going to give him +2, let's see what the cost would come up to, the more I think about it the more I think Brunner would want the ancient dwarven half plate... Let's get a bid from the blacksmith then think about it.
Hey guys. Sorry about the delay. I started a new position at my job and school at the same time. Getting the kinks worked out. If you are able to be extend grace we will get back to normal. This is just a minor speed bump.
I have actually dropped all the games I play in on PBP and the other games here. Keeping only this one.
Glad to see I didn't miss anything. I was trimming a honeysuckle bush near my house and accidently cut my cable... didn't have internet for twenty four hours...
So when Brunner finishes up with the blacksmith we will head back to the statue and the hole we took the ladder from.
Yesterday in the states was Veterans Day. I don’t know if anyone here is a Veteran or even currently serving, but just incase. Thank you for your service.

Is that on the way out? Lanliss kind of understands that Dalron has a different moral outlook, and he remembers that Dalron isn't fond of goblinoids, so he's going to insist on coming with.
