FYI, SerpentViolent has had a medical problem that will take the player out of commission for some time. So, there's no rush for me to get Isis back into the game. The player has given me instructions on how to play the character if needed.

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

Ahh, I had been wondering honestly. Thanks for the info.

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

Life science or mystical?

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

Life Science: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

Wishes? Oh dear.

SerpentViolet |

Wishes? Oh dear.
I get three. I managed to succeed in a quest while in the spirit world playing offline. I find it really quite generous of Rando actually.

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

Yes, that's exactly what you should wish for.
We do have an artifact of our own that can deal out immeasurable power, ours just has a big ol' fifty percent chance of risk attached.

rando1000 |

I did remind SV that the point of the mission was to secure powerful magic for Zothune to use against the impending invasion, so the bulk of the wishes has gone toward things for that.
Serpent, you can apply the one you kept for yourself immediately; it just happens because Djinni Magic.

SerpentViolet |

Again the weak link is Captain Quinn. She hasn't posted in over two weeks. At what point does Rando skip or roll for her?
I hope I'm not being too rude when I say this. If I'm out of line, my bad.

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

I sadly have to agree. Havnt seen them in the other game her player is in, Mummy's Mask, for some time. Honestly, its general player inactivity that can kill a game. Luckily our Vesk and now you have been helping things move right along. In MM, same Vesk player and another friend of mine have been helping it breath too- but it would be nice if we had a few more players in the mix.

Sharlavaka |

I am Eternal. But if we're down to three players, I support getting more. We can find someone in a stasis pod. The only issue is captaincy, if Quinn's player is MIA.

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

That same friend had been waiting for a cha certain to get into this game too, that could be an in for his own character.

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

Not seeing anything wrong on my end.

Sharlavaka |

Not been seeing anything like that. Are you posting via a phone, tablet or computer? I'm on a laptop and everything seems fine.
...and yes I'm aware I've just condemned whatever bodgework of fixes they have in place to burst into flames.

Computer. Well it varies. I do fine on the Discussion page but have the problem under Gameplay.

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

I use mobile primarily, and for once, things look... good. Tollerable. And now they're gonna f~#$ it up just to spite me.

SerpentViolet |

OOC: Well if we're moving magic loot discussion to the forum, everyone but me gets to pick first and then we all do a second round with what's left.
I think we're all young enough (I'm four.) that we can sell the ring once we know its details. The Gardathir are dwarves and dwarves are long-lived anyway. I don't mind not getting a magic item if I don't, but I'm in favor of lots of cash.
SV

SerpentViolet |

Rando, about the ring. Do you keep your adult experiences when you go to prepubescent? Because if so there must some elderly rich dude who wants a second go at life with his knowledge intact.

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

Probably should in favt ve mkved over here, true.
The obly items I can absolutely try to claim at this point are still just the wands. Both have their uses.
I've never actually drawn from a deck before in any game or edition.. I'm very tempted to in this instance, despite the fact that it would be a very bad idea. Powerful magic to it, enough so that I'm not sure Esh would really want to hand itnover to some desperate miners.
The ring... Well, one man's curse is another's treasure. So long as we put all the details on the box a cursed item is still a magic item. Esh would personally advise someone to not put it on if they have cybernetic implants installed, however, for the sheer fact he's unsure if those would cgange to adapt with the body.
The orb, he's actually very interested in keeping, though it truly would be most benifjtal to the rebellion out of everything overall. A very expebsive piece, too. I'm sure they'd be very grateful.
Lastly... The tiara of elven make. He'd at most be willibg to [i]loan[I] this piece, as he'd very much rather it end back up in elven hands. Artifacts of hia race are a rarity these days and he'd very much like for them to fully reclaim their heritage.

Sharlavaka |

Of the stuff we can loot, Sharlavaka would be interested in the Ring of Resistant Armour - DR10 or Energy Resistance 10 for a few hours a day isn't to sniffed at. But...he's already a freaking tank compared to everyone else, so it should probably go to keeping the squishier people alive. Same for the Amulet. More armour is good.
Boots of Speed are very nice. Ten extra attacks a day are, again, excellent, and the extra speed and AC are just gravy.
The rest is stuff that's better in other hands, or he simply doesn't care about.

rando1000 |

Rando, about the ring. Do you keep your adult experiences when you go to prepubescent? Because if so there must some elderly rich dude who wants a second go at life with his knowledge intact.
It's a cursed ring. It's not something that's going to work out to anyone's benefit; that's why it's called a curse.

rando1000 |

How does this look for an initial disbursement?
Wand - Detect Magic without expending a charge, or, for 1 charge, can cast Identify. There are 28 charges remaining. Esh
Wand of Hold Person (29 charges) Esh
Tiara of Translocation Esh (to return to Castrovel once the Gardathir are done with it)
Amulet - will increase one's KAC by +2 when worn.Sharlavaka
Boots of Speed (+1 bonus to AC, +30' movement rate, one additional attack when making full attacks; usable 10 rounds per day)Sharlavaka
Ring - has transmutation properties; it's relatively powerful, but limited to an age related effect. Esh suspects it will restore youth in some manner, but is unsure of the specifics.cursed
Deck of Many Things - donjon card has been played. Gardathir
Crystal Ball Gardathir
Unknown rusty iron rod Gardathir
Unchosen:
Ring of Resistant Armor (3 times/day)
Magic Breastplate (Level 6, +6 EAC +4 KAC +3 Max Dex; counts as modern armor)
Headband of Inspired Wisdom +2
Gloves of Dexterity +2

Sharlavaka |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

It looks like I'm Shiny!
With an awesome amulet 'round my neck,
So check these pecks.
That's right I'm just Shiny!
The boots don't match rest of my outfit,
But still a hit!
Who makes boots plumb?
But they let me run an gun
Or using Vesk-like claws, that's a winner.
So they just add to the fun.
Laser cannons pound oozes into smithers,
So let's not dither.
Shoot through all the silly ruse,
And steal booze.

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

Captain, any items that strike your fancy?

rando1000 |

I've got a PM out to Quinn, which hasn't been responded to. Player must be busy IRL. My assumption is Quinn would like at least a couple of those items.
If no-one wants the Breastplate, I'm sure the Dwarves will take it in exchange for some equipment of similar level value.

SerpentViolet |

Well if I get a share in magic items as well as my wish, I'd like to trade it and my current armor (Defrex hide) in for Freebooter Armor II. I know that's level 6.

Captain Olivia Quinn |

Hey, like I said sorry I was gone, had some issues with a friend.
As for the magic items, I could definitely use the Gloves of Dex and the Headband of Wisdom.

Eshenvral Kothiavus |

Stuff can happen like that, life is always prone to throw itself in one's general direction. No need to apologize for attending to such things.
If no one wishes to take the ring, and Isis wishes to exchange the armor for something more suiting to her, then Eshenvral would opt for it. A bit of defense is a good thing, for a spellcaster. At least, I presume it's defense oriented. What does it do precisely?

SerpentViolet |

OOC: Would everyone like to jointly purchase a Mark 2 healing serum to be administered to a dying party member as needed? Idk who would be entrusted to carry it. Or we could all carry medpatches.
Everyone's thoughts?

SerpentViolet |

OOC: So I get the armor to exchange? If so, kewel.
Rando, can I get a 6th level item now that we've leveled?
The breastplate itself is 6th level, and you were going to give us that.

rando1000 |

As the spell Resistant Armor:
This spell functions as lesser resistant armor, but the target and her gear gain DR 10/— or energy resistance 10 that protects against three energy types.Though, when I put 3 times per day, I didn't take the spell's 10 minute/caster level duration into effect. At that rate it would get you 3 hours of protection a day, which is kind of insane at this level. Let's say 20 rounds per day instead.

rando1000 |

So, now that everyone has stuff, does anyone feel they did not get a fair share of the take? I know SerpentViolet is good, and Esh with that ring should be set. Sharlavaka, Quinn, do you feel like like you've got your items will be useful enough?

SerpentViolet |

OOC: Okay, so far I've proposed +2 BP on Power Core, +2 on Shields, +3 to double up/fire link the coilgun, and +1 and +1 to double up/fire link the gyrolasers. By GM fiat we have 13 BPs to spend; my preferences would spend 9 and leave 4.
(Rando has seen fit to leave the Mark 5 armor undervalued, and has also granted us +5 BPs.)
What do you'all think of my proposals?

Sharlavaka |

The only other toy I could do with is a better weapon. My heavy laser is a little eh for the level we're at, but it should be fine until we can get some financing for an even bigger gun.

Give me a suggestion, I'll consider having one come into your hands.

Sharlavaka |

The next laser (or almost any heavy weapon, actually) would be the Corona Artillery Laser, which is level 6, inflicts 2d8 damage, and is tech level 6.
