I think It would just reset his confused condition since they are different versions of confused from separate effects and not the same effect, like if you were blinded for 2 rounds and then blinded again for an hour and stunned you, the hour would take precedent; it wouldn't stack but the worse would apply. I think in this case he would become confused per the Shoggoth. You would still act normally for that round. Basically whenever two effects happen take the worse one. There are situations where that doesn't matter like being tripped when you are already tripped but this isn't the same thing.
Btw you had forgot your Mythic Iron Will bonus, though you rolled a 1 anyway, might be useful to remember later when you get improved iron will. Also you roll twice I think its SU

Should still be some Gugs and a Shoggoth thats untouched (mostly) depending on what it goes after; Assuming you dont want one of the many Cultists. Also For Reference Derrik took 28 Damage; Mikey 13 after Healing and Koran 176 ; This is pre DR.. I believe we have Stoneskin to that would Reduce Derrik's to 18 eating up his temp HP and setting him at 145/150. Mikey would then only have kept the 5 because 8 didnt bypass DR and Koran would have reduced the damage from the Attacks by 50 instead of 10 for 126 rather than 166 damage

Just a note, Flame Strike is half-fire/half-divine, so I think the Shoggoth should take ~12 damage after the successful save (51/2/2=12.75, Fire resistance soaks up the 12 fire damage, and the 12 divine gets through). But of course, after fast heal 10, it doesn't matter too much either way, I suppose...
Also, can we get an update on enemies up and about and their relative locations? :)
