Star Spawn of Cthulhu |

Not much longer, noble Dr Allison Jones.... You need not slaughter an entire galaxy for your part of our amusement.... Only one more bout do we have planned for the Fierce Ones just now.... And I assure you, this form of amusement only appears "sick" from your limited perspective, mighty Earthling.... It is quite healthy, from our vaster perspective....

Star Spawn of Cthulhu |

The aptly named Fierce Ones have survived two of three bouts, without so much as spilling a drop of sweat, let alone their own blood.... But their final challenge might end their streak of victories.... If they survive this final bout, we shall bestow upon them prizes of great worth, and they shall also have won their freedom, for we shall release them back upon the Earth mountain from which they were captured.... But to win these prizes and their freedom.... They must face an ancient fire dragon from Aldebaran.... Morbenlok, the Ravener!!

Derrik is still contemplating a way to get out, when a Dragon of great prominence arrives. It's intimidating visage ashes over him and as much as he had to admit it was impressive, it not much more than that to him.

Be strong of heart, Mikey Jay....

Star Spawn of Cthulhu |

Koran.... The Mortal Herald of the thunder god Thor.... Known to the Navajo as Demonhammer.... Has finished the long lifespan of ancient Morbenlok, the Ravener From Aldebaran....
The star spawn pauses to let the profundity of that statement echo in everyone's mind....
Now, as we hath promised, the Fierce Ones shall have their rewards.... Treasures unique and freedom....

Star Spawn of Cthulhu |

You have proven yourselves truly formidable, Fierce Ones.... Perfect mechanisms of destruction and mayhem.... A dangerous force to be reckoned with, indeed.... We hope you will forgive us for imposing upon you to entertain us in a manner you no doubt find crass and wantonly cruel.... Gladiatorial combat to the death asks the utmost of its participants, and when those participants are unwilling pawns in a cosmic game played by superior organisms, It can leave a sting on one's sensibilities....
The star spawn pauses to let its words sink in....
Now, as we have promised, you shall be released onto the mountaintop from whence you were captured, and left to go on your way.... We now have a greater understanding of your capabilities and potential, and shall not treat this information as of little worth.... We shall not underestimate the Fierce Ones when at last we meet on the field of battle, wherever that glorious stage may be.... Farewell, Fierce Ones! You have fought well.... You have entertained us!!
With a final bright flash of green light, the FOs find themselves alone atop Brocken Peak....
The corpses, vomit, and gore have been removed so there isn't a trace of the titanic battle that was waged here mere moments ago....
Though it seems that only seconds have passed since you were trapped and teleported to the Arena of Death to fight for your lives and freedom, and then whisked back to Earth again, it is apparent by the position of the stars in the sky and the coming blush of dawn that several hours of time have elapsed since the FOs were last on Brocken Peak....

Dr. Allison Jones |

Vell... I cannot say dat vas particularly enjoyable, but at least ve vere not sent home empty for our... participation. Allison said as she straightened herself out once more on the mountain top.
Shall ve return home? It seems der is nothing left to do here, ja?

Marcus Greer |

Reflex: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Nope!
The Caduceus dances around Marcus' body and revives him on his turn.
5d8 + 13 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 7, 3) + 13 = 31
I think that's an acceptable option? It is an Intelligent item, though it doesn't have any way to communicate as of yet. If not, tell me.
Once they're out:
"That was...odd." Marcus says, as he kneels by Daisy's unconscious form.
He breathes in, and exhales wisps of glowing smoke into her face.
Breath of Life on Daisy.
5d8 + 14 ⇒ (3, 3, 6, 4, 4) + 14 = 34

Dr. Allison Jones |

Assuming we get some downtime at the castle after this adventure...
An unexpected side-note from their time in the arena is that Allison is finally able to complete the clockwork leg p.23 of Magical Marketplace she had drafted up months ago. Scraping her current prosthesis for more parts and trading with some of the elves at the castle to get the last bits of material needed, she is finally ready to disappear into a workshop and get to work. 20 gp worth of material from leg and traded away 43 bullets for 64.5 gp worth, plus 2.5k from arena, plus 616 gp she had from before gives her the 3,200 gp to craft.
Craft Wonderous Item + Crafting Mastery + Spontaneous Generation to craft prosthetic clockwork leg.
Can craft at double speed, produce items for half listed value, make 2 rolls per check, and ignore one crafting requirement without DC increase.
Clockwork Prosthesis (Leg) : CL 13, Craft Wondrous Items (yes), bull's stength (no, ignored with bloodline power), regenerate (no, +5 DC), 8 ranks in Craft Clockwork (yes)
Crafting DC 5 + 13 (CL) +5 (missing requirement) + 5 (accelerated crafting) = DC 28
1000 gp/day standard x2 for mastery x2 for accelerated = leg will be finished after 8 hours of work
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (17) + 26 = 43
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (20) + 26 = 46
Success!
For the next hour, Allison uses her surgical prowess, British stiff upper lip, and German stoicism to attach the new leg...
Fort (DC 18): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21 Success, the leg is properly attached.
Con Damage: 1d2 ⇒ 2 However, she will need 2 days to fully recover for the procedure unless Daisy is able to speed along the process.
After a while of testing out the new device, Allison seems pleased with her craftsmanship. It takes some getting used to having two fully functional legs again, but there are some definite advantages to having four limbs. The proudest addition to her original design was incorporating the wayfinders into the internal structure of the leg allowing her the advantages of her ioun stones without the high risk of the gems being stolen..

Radsworth |

Radsworth watched Korans impressive display, as well as Derriks noble offer of surrender to the dragon. The knowledge of the Green Tower was important to him, and he was glad for the encounter.
The Dragons fear held no sway, he was immune to such things now, with his greater understanding of everything.
He was able to finish his special item with the help of Marcus, and was glad for it. He would withhold it in secret until it was needed, but it's existence gave him great reassurance.
He gazes at the item for a small while, then quickly mutters the words for a new spell, Secret Chest.
The item is placed within the actual chest, crafted at some expense by the denizens of Alfhiem and spirited away to a pocket dimension for at least 60 days. He imagined that now Cthulu had a measure of them, they would be dead or successful within that amount of time.

Mikey Jay |

Mikey Jay is now clad in full plate with a glossy black sheen that looks more like the organic exoskeleton of a humanoid beetle or arthropod than a suit of armor, complete with fantastically antlered helm with snouted visor that further gives MJ the appearance of some alien insect or lobster-like denizen of the deep....
Oh hell yes.... This feels like satin pajamas....

Amber Lynn |

General Lynn address the Jaeger League at a general assembly on the morning of September 1st, in the courtyard of the Castle in Alfheim....
We are at a turning point for humanity, Jaeger League.... The dawn of a new age.... A critical point in our evolution.... Do we continue to be the custodians of this planet we call Earth? Or do we lay down, die out, and let it taken from us by the Great Old Ones and their monster cronies?.... The Great Old Ones had their turn to play with this ball. They blew it and got themselves locked down in cold storage like the meatloaf in your granny's freezer.... Now, it's our turn.... It's our turn to blow it, right!?

Amber Lynn |

The Fierce Ones got us started, showed us the light.... Hell, many of us are alive today and standing here only because of their brave deeds, myself being one of such.... I owe my life to the Fierce Ones.... They have risked their lives for the sake of humanity, and have fought like hell to not let the last shreds of humanity left on this world fall away into the darkness.... I feel like we owe as much to them.... To carry on their fight against the rotten, evil scumbags from space who dare to try to make slaves and food out of us and take our home.... They are the food.... We are the hunters!....

Amber Lynn |

So let's make them proud! We have our opportunity.... Lido Key, where I and many other women were rescued from a nightmare of cannibalism, rape, and worse, is still inhabited by monsters and their human slaves.... We can slay those monsters and free those slaves, just as the Fierce Ones did only a few months ago!

Amber Lynn |

The Silver Tower will be our base of operations! From there, we will first secure the immediate downtown area for three blocks in all directions! That will link us with the Royal Palms Cinema, another bastion of humankind! Then, we'll move across the John Ringling Causeway to reclear St Armand's Circle, if it's been reinhabited, Bird Key, where a lot of nice waterfront homes can be reclaimed, and Lido Key, where several large hotels and resorts can be reclaimed, as well as Lido Beach and South Lido Park!

Joachim Dobberkau |

" V-Vhey are the food!! W-We are the H-Hunters! "
Joachim stammers out as his fist slams into his chest.. not really sure if he can handle the pressure of being part of the elite still. Perhaps he did not drink enough liquid courage.
