Huzzah! My first customer :)
*Another Note* - Hopefully everyone here will be able and willing to get along with everyone else so that we can all have a good time. That being said, sometimes player personalities and playstyles clash and I'm certainly not privy to everyone's past experiences playing on the forums. So, if for whatever reason you have any trepidation about playing with someone else, please send me a PM and I'll do what I can to make sure that groups are arranged accordingly. But that won't be necessary...right? :)

Woot! Thanks, GM Ladile!

CariMac |

Yay. Now what to play?
Druid is an obvious choice. I was thinking about creating a Warpriest, but you have to have an actual deity and I was going to have her follow the Green Faith. I don't suppose you can be a Paladin of the Green Faith?
I'm thinking front line fighter type no matter what class I choose.

![]() |

Motueka and Dauswil are my characters.
Spiritualist with Despair Phantom.

![]() |

CariMac, Green Faith is compatible with Gozreh, Erastil and all of the Eldest. (Inner Sea World Guide lists these as "associated religions" for Green Faith at any rate).
So you can't strictly have a paladin of the green faith, but you can have a paladin of Erastil with green faith trappings. Or a warpriest of an Eldest perhaps.
One of my other characters is a Green Faith Marshal / Sanctified Slayer Inquisitor of Imbrex.

![]() |

Popping in with Seedy. He's currently involved in his first game, a table of The Confirmation. I expect this will be finished well in time for the GameDay.

GM Ladile |

No worries, Seedy! We're still a month+ from our start date so you and everyone else has some time to finish up current games and/or get your vine leshy character all created and ready to go :)

GM Ladile,
Thanks for the invitation to this party!
Thinking about a vine leshy vigilante, a kind of zealous Avenging Captain Planet, fighting Golarion climate change and the multinational alchemical conglomerates, as well as sadistic hate groups like vegans and other so-called vegetarians.
I'll give it some more thought and get back to you.
Larry
aka GM Lorenzo

GM Ladile |

Okay so (very tentatively) it looks like we've got the following types of leshies:
Bad Seed (Fire Kineticist)
Abraham Z (??? Kineticist)
supervillan (Savage Tech. Barbarian)
Toorgmai (Leshy Warden Druid)
Motueka (Spiritualist)
CariMac (Warpriest or some other type of fightmans)
Poison Oakley (UC Monk)
Seedy Pod Popper (Herbalist Alchemist)
GM Lorenzo (Possible vigilante)
GGG (Rogue?)
Sedoriku (Shaman or archer-type?)
eddv (???)
Just in case people were waiting to see what else is being played before finalizing their own characters :)

GM Ladile |

^Noted!
And no worries Caiwen - play what you want to play and it'll all sort itself out in the end! It's nice to have a mix of characters that are a little more 'to type' and some that aren't. My first two leshies are sort of what you'd expect in terms of class choices (Herbalist alchemist & Plant Master hunter) but the third will be something a little more unusual :)

![]() |

Vintner here is a 4th level Lore Shaman! He has the Name-Keeper Archetype.
The concept - he was created by the mysterious Pathfinder Society agent, the druid Osprey, to serve a need for the Society, to follow up on the failures of the society and to honor and memorialize its fallen members. He researches the stories of the fallen pathfinders and uses their residual energy and spirits to serve the society's agents and goals.
It's a pretty neat archetype.

![]() |

Thanks GGG!
Its been my dream concept for a Leshy for yeeeeaaars. It was either going to be this or a Circuit Judge Cavalier designed to be a defender against the constant assaults on Absalom.
(I will probably make both since I have like 3 or 4 of those boons)

GM Ladile |

^Note that I gave eddv/Vintner permission to bring a 4th level provided he didn't steal the show with his uber combat powers ;)

You're welcome.
Alas, my wee leshy ??? (built with the !!! archetype!) will only be 1st level (possibly brand new, or with a Confirmation run behind them--depending of course upon how much armor I have to buy for their capybara).
For the record, I was going with what GM Ladile thought you were bringing above. ;)
This of course assumes you don't want one of the babysitters* (who could have adventures in that particular profession, if you take my meaning). ;)

GM Ladile |

Hmm...as much as I find the idea of the babysitter amusing, I'd prefer to keep on theme - at least for this first adventure. I won't lie, the idea of the ongoing adventures of Team Leshy & Friends is very appealing *but* I'm already currently committed to running two other long-term PFS tables so potentially adding a third is something I would have to give a LOT of careful consideration to before committing. Especially since the more energy I put into 'set' groups the less I have for our PbP conventions and I do enjoy getting to mix things up and run for 'new' faces during those :)

![]() |

Course there's always Mr. Z. He's at least green.
But failing any of those less leafy characters (though Summer comes with her own companion herbs and spices)....
There's Creepy, the poisonous psychedelic rogue (poisoner, underground chemist).
Willow, the white-haired Spanish-moss-leafed leshy witch.
Sticky, the buck-and-a-quarter quarterstaff (formerly a rod component) magus. (I play a sylph Wood School wizard character otherwise that would be an option too).
And finally, Bushi Bonsai the well-manicured Eastern samurai and his 150 lb. war rodent.

![]() |

Sorry for not checking in earlier, I really wanted to cement my character concept (or at least have a general idea of what I'm doing) and after some research, a lot of reading and finding a few themetic feats I think Veshy here (name is temporary for right now) will be a Longbow shooting, roc (maybe giant owl) riding hunter of Erastil. I saw the Savior's Arrow feat and had to use it! Shots of green light from above!
Just one question though, any ideas on how heavy a Vine Leshy is? I plan on keeping Ant Haul on the flying friend, but it would be good to know just in case!

![]() |

A quick review of small-sized leshy with listed heights and weights shows that on average they are about 2 feet tall and weigh 20 lbs.

Would that be considered viable for PFS? 'Cause it would be amazing if he/she they were only that heavy!

GM Ladile |

I don't see why it wouldn't be viable! Rocs can carry halflings and gnomes and even though they're both small races as well I'm sure they weigh, on average, more than a vine leshy does :)

![]() |

It can be an issue at very low levels for gnomes and halflings. The medium sized flying mounts tend to start with low strength and can only fly with a rider if carrying a light load. A Roc starts with 12 Strength though, so should manage a 20lb leshy plus a bit of gear.
My tengu with a giant mantis companion flew at low levels in emergencies only, using potions of reduce person (reducing weight by a factor of eight). They're not going to work on a plant though.

![]() |

Yeah, a light load for a Str 12 biped is 50 lbs, but you need to take into account, saddles, armor, weapons, and equipment as well as the weight of the rider. I have a speedy wolf-riding gnome cavalier with a similar issue.

GM Ladile |

^I suppose that makes sense. Admittedly, my only mounted character is a mounted gnome summoner so her 15 Strength eidolon is able to just carry her around without having to worry about encumberance. I can see how it'd be more of a concern for something like a roc!

GM Ladile |

Notice! Sign-ups for the upcoming PbP Gameday VII specials are now open, as declared here!

GM Ladile |

If you want to dot to this thread that'll be fine; I'd like to wait until everyone's decided what they're playing before I start forming actual groups. Once that happens I'll be sure to adjust active players as necessary so folks don't have their Campaigns page cluttered with extra games :)
Updated Roster of the Bloom
Bad Seed (Fire Kineticist)
Skarlit Begonia (Wood Leshykineticist)
supervillan (Savage Tech. Barbarian)
Toorgmai (Leshy Warden Druid)
Motueka (Spiritualist)
CariMac (Warpriest or some other type of fightmans)
Poison Oakley (UC Monk)
Seedy Pod Popper (Herbalist Alchemist)
GM Lorenzo (Possible vigilante)
GGG (Options!?)
Uproot Freefall Yabusame (Hunter)
Vintner (Name-Keeper Lore Shaman)
That's *most* of you with concepts more or less figured out though so I'll start trying to do some work on getting you split into two groups.

![]() |

My savage technologist barbarian is mostly ready. I may tweak him a bit, especially equipment (haven't added up costs of everything on the sheet yet).
I can see us needing to switch a few avatars around maybe, there are only so many plant images!

![]() |

I can see us needing to switch a few avatars around maybe, there are only so many plant images!
No worries! I'd been eyeing up the leaf leshy image for a bit and if there was a mix of this and your avatar it'd be perfect though!
Also sorry about the name changes, Veshy was a place holder and then I decided that having the Yabusame in the middle flowed better than at the end. And now it also works as a rough guide for how he fights. Fly up, mounted archery, come back to earth!
I should be able to have a character sheet for Uproot ready by Saturday!

![]() |

It's just super cute! I love the little button eyes :3

GM Ladile |

Okay so after giving it some thought I've tentatively come up with the following 'tangles' (groups) for each table:
Tangle 1
Bad Seed (Fire Kineticist)
Toorgami (Leshy Warden Druid)
Poison Oakley (UC Monk)
Motueka (Spiritualist)
GM Lorenzo (Vigilante ???)
supervillan (Savage Tech. Barbarian)
Tangle 2
Skarlit Begonia (Wood Leshykineticist)
Vintner (Name-Keeper Lore Shaman)
CariMac (Melee ???)
Uproot Yabusame Freefall (Hunter)
GGG (Options !??)
Seedy Pod Popper (Herbalist Alchemist)
If there's a particular character of another player's that you'd really like to be paired with (whether for synergy or the RP potential/lulz) then speak now or forever hold your peace :P
And on a totally different subject, Happy 4th of July and/or Wednesday, depending on where you're located!

![]() |

Looks good for me! And I really am enjoying this avatar, it's cute as a button! I love the button eyes but kinda wish he had a mouth.

![]() |

Looks good.

![]() |

Aye, looks good here. It might be interesting to see how "Captain Planet" gets on with Boom Sticks the (would-be) tech user!

GM Ladile |

Hokay! I'm going to have Tangle #1 stay here on this particular campaign, which means YOU:
Bad Seed
Toorgami
Poison Oakley
Motueka
GM Lorenzo
Boom Sticks
Tangle #2 will be moving over to this campaign tab. This means YOU:
Skarlit Begonia
Vintner
CariMac
Uproot Yabusame Freefall
GGG
Seedy Pod Popper
As each person from Tangle #2 dots into Gameplay & Discussion over at Leshy Mania I will remove you from this campaign because I very much understand the desire to reduce clutter on the Campaigns tab :)
