Well, I think Locke/Urbar just took out the baddies, so I'll throw out a grapple check and use that one whatever enemy is still standing...

Grapple: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20

Gwen shifts into a defensive fighting style and slips out her dan bong as she moves forward to engage whatever enemies remain alive.

Swift Action - Activate Snapping Turtle Style. Move Action - Move into position around whatever enemy is alive and 'draw' her dan bong from her Wrist Sheath as part of the move. Standard Action - Grapple.

The splash damage from Locke's bomb is enough to drop one of the other kobolds as well. The last kobold remaining of the four kobolds up north is also hit by the splash damage, and...

Gwen's actions are on hold, till I have a reply about Locke's splash damage. The alchemist class describes it's the minimum damage from the bomb, which I think would be 6 in Locke's case. (PBS doesn't add damage to the splash damage, only to the direct hit.)

@Tereze: Go ahead and post, if it doesn't involve what's left of the kobolds up north.

When she arrives even with Locke she launches a sling stone at the lizard who is just peaking around the boulder.

@Locke: Yes, and your Int modifier is 4. 2d6+4 would give you a minimum of 6, not 10. How'd you get the 10, did you double your Int modifier?

I think you've got it a little confused, Locke. The splash damage would only be 2 since the minimum damage from the 2d6 would be 2 damage, then you add your Int modifier to the splash damage. You are adding your Int modifier twice, when you should only be adding once. It appears you are calculating your minimum damage off the total damage of your bomb, which is incorrect. To figure splash damage you take the minimum before any other modifiers and then you add in your Int bonus.

Gwen will grapple the remaining kobold this round!

Ery's tone is sickly sweet. In common, you'd think it was mired in malcontent. he twirls the wand away into his robes as he speaks, taking a knee to level with the little creature.

Ery sighs, shaking his head to the kobold he just spoke to. "Disappointing."

Urbar loots all the kobolds before moving to the last and drawing his sword.
"They didn't doubt to attack us, so I won't do that for them"
With a fluent motion he brings the blade down, finishing the last one. He takes the last bits of loot, dries his bloody sword on the kobold's clothes and gets up.
"Let's get on with this."
With those last words he moves into the tunnels.

Tereze has a momentary twinge on guilt as the sword comes down, but quickly hardens her heart.

They are Vermin, and attacked Ery without provocation, if they were to do this to town's folk they would now be dead. To save others we must have no mercy.

So she casts Light on her buckler and states to the others:
Well let us head in. Unless anyone objects: Gwen and Urbar you take ze front, I will cover ze back. Fiona, Ery and Locke you can stay between us. Ze stories say Kobolds are trick some so we should be careful.


Northern or southern tunnel?

Urbar looks towards both entrances and shrugs. He moves info the northern tunnel, keeping close watch for anything unusual.

With Tereze and her light source in the back, you head into the northern tunnel. Urbar and Gwendallyn, who are in the front, can barely see anything in the dimly lit tunnel in front of them. Not much later you reach a foul-smelling cave that has thick mounds of moldy straw on the floor.

So at the end of Round 1, Gwen will heal the 2 damage and Tereze will take that damage from Life Link. Or would we prefer to do it on the top of the next round?

@Gwen: You haven't lost 5 or more HP yet. Tereze's ability won't kick in on her turn, unless you take at least 3 more damage.

Whoops!!! I totally misread that, sorry. Wow, I really, really misread that. So, at the beginning of Tereze's turn if Gwen has taken 5 or more damage she heals 5 damage. Sorry, I didn't get much sleep last night; I worked afternoon shift last night and didn't get home until 12:00 AM this morning, then was back up 6:00 AM to testify in two jury trials for the same guy I've arrested three times for felony driving offenses.

I figured Life link needed a bit of warning as it's going to impact a number of the party members. But yes, I take the damage/heal you at the start of my turn every round after you have taken 5 damage. Nice thing is by my reading/research this happens after my full round summon spells complete. And continues as long as you aren't dead, so you auto stabilize and I can heal you at range even though CLW is touch only. That last fact will be helpful in these close confines.

The other thing that's great about Life Link is that its basically an AoE heal for those affected. We all get healed and then you simply hit yourself with a CLW or CMW, etc. and BOOM! We back into the thick of it.
