Can someone please also move me four squares East?

Fiona keeps laughing openly, oblivious to the rest of the group or the battle, and even to Eryzule who seems to focus his attention on the nearby door. For some reason, looking at him closely examining the door only makes Fiona laugh louder. Between laughter bouts, she loads another bolt in her crossbow and fires it at the undead on the pipes in front of her.

"Ery, Fiona! Do you all help out there with that cackling lunatic?!" She shouts out into the fog.

Tereze keeps the music going, then puts away her club.

In between her maniacal laughter Fiona reloads her crossbow and shoots a bolt at the undead that's not yet surrounded by mist. The bolt hits the pipe it's hiding behind.

The mist at the feet of the last visible undead spreads and conceals it.

Eryzule moves over to the nearby door, which is already open, and looks into the room beyond. Inside the room are two dead priests.

Gwendallyn starts climbing up the pipe. While climbing she asks if her allies need help, but it turns out it's not needed.

Vicard decides he'll stay on the keys, and he keeps the music alive.

Urbar climbs the pipes while cursing about how humans continue to be annoying even when they're dead.

Extra info on the Metro-Cathedral:
• The Metro-Cathedral’s massive organ is played by dancing upon the gigantic white keys. Traveling from white key to white key requires a DC 5 Acrobatics or Perform (dance) check. The DC increases by 2 for each additional key someone attempts to cross in a given round.

• To play the more slender black keys, one either needs to stand on an adjoining white key and reach up and yank the key down with a DC 5 Strength check, or climb directly on top of the black key (Climb DC 10). Leaping from black key to black key requires a DC 10 or 20 Acrobatics check, depending on the distance between the keys as indicated on the map.

• Anyone who successfully depresses multiple keys in a round may also make a Perform (keyboard) check as a free action. A success of 10 or more contributes to the hymn and keeps the music alive. The higher the result, the more melodious and impressive the contribution. You'll get a +2 circumstance bonus to your check for each key you manage to depress in a single round. If the same person can further succeed on a DC 5 Knowledge (Religion) check, that person can actually play the correct popular morning hymns.

• The organ keys are elevated 15 feet off of the ground. Anyone bull rushed off the keys falls to the stone church floor below, taking 1d6 damage.

• The organ keys connect to the 30-foot pipes above. Climbing the giant twisting maze of brass pipes requires a DC 10 Climb check each round.

• As long as the organ continues to play, anyone of lawful alignment in the cathedral benefits from the effect of a bless spell. The bless effect kicks in as long as any key is depressed, whether it is truly musical or just a random key which is pushed down during the course of combat.

RETCON TO THE RESCUE

Vicard looks up at the swirling mist above his head, disappearing into the shadowy ceiling of the giant cathedral. Somewhere up there, was a silent undead, stifling the music Tereze produced.

With nothing else to do, Vicard begins to climb the endless maze of pipes and connections.

Well gee so ideas - Someone (I guess Urbar) could run up an grab/grapple the old men next round and trust the rest of us to keep the hounds off their back.

I can't do it as I don't have the movement next round to even reach the old guys even with run.

The map chat might work. I think the time zones and daily schedules will make it really hard though.
My experience is that after a while you get used to each others tactics and can adjust to them. And not discussing what you are going to do brings a lot of fun surprise elements :) Like the group discussing if you are going to open the door and three seconds later the door splinters to bits because the monk didn't want to wait.

As for the game Urbar will attack the thugs. It wouldn't really be in his nature to pull the others up instead of killing the bandits.

I suppose I just have to adjust. My last gaming group planned everything out to the tiniest detail before doing anything, no matter how slight.

I have to agree with Urbar and Ery. Just play what your character would do even if it isn't the most tactically perfect option at the time. There's six of us, the others will adjust.

I would agree with that assessment. Plus, the nice part about PbP is that you can plan things out if you want, but PbP combat is much slower than standard combat.

I love the fact that we are all RP heavy, I'm really enjoying reading everyone's posts! I'm a little RP light with Gwen right now, because in a fight she's all hands on. She doesn't let herself get distracted!

Keep in mind that each combat round takes 6 in-game seconds. You don't have enough time to plan everything out in the tiniest details when you're already facing your opponents.

Just keep in mind all loot in PFS disappears at the end of the scenario, when you receive your chronicle sheet.

The chronicle sheet will give everyone who participates an amount of gold to spend, and something extra called Prestige Points (which are explained in the PFS guide).

How high is this cliff? Is it worth jumping in after them or is it pretty deadly?

Edit: Also, do we know which old man is the old we want? And if not, could I ID him if I had to, with some sort of Knowledge check?

Yes but we have to untie them from the manacles! Or they'll drown. Which is why I plan on jumping after them. I am the best at un-doing lock, doubly so with Inspiration to help me. Besides, Vicard is a bit single-minded. He would jump.

Very true. I loved the series... even with the strangeness that was the last three books. My favorite of the series, though, was definitely Wizards First Rule. That was Goodkind's pinnacle with the Sword of Truth.

*EDIT*

Hmmm, so after researching Sword of Truth series... I apparently missed the Goodkind has published four more stories in that series of which I was unaware. I'll have to look at picking those up!

I agree, Vicard, about his over use of his personal political views. I tended to just gloss over his political rants within the stories and focus on the whole.
