PFS PbP Game Day 3 - Mists of Mwgani (Table A) (Inactive)

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 4–5).

Pathfinder Lugizar Trantos recently returned from the Mwangi Expanse with haunted eyes and a pack full of strange idols. Absalom's famed Blakros Museum purchased his pieces and Lugizar vanished. The strange monkey idols he pulled from the misty jungles of Mwangi carry with them a fell curse, and now their power has laid claim to the museum. Can the Pathfinder Society uncover the source of the curse in time, or will the Blackros Museum be forever lost to the mists of Mwangi?

This game will be run as a part of the Third Official Pathfinder Society PbP Game Day. All games will begin on November 1, 2014. To sign up for this scenario simply post your interest with the appropriate character alias below.

What's the PbP game day? Does that mean the intent is to clear the game in PbP in a single day? (that seems unlikely) Or is it just that that's when the pbp game day events all kick off?

I'm likely interested with a level 2 Slayer if it's the latter.

It's the latter...all events begin on the same day and there is typically a three month window to finish. We'll be finished long before the window closes and in plenty of time to opt for another game or two which gives everyone more chances to win boons.

Yep...it's a popular one. A great little dungeon crawl...good for beginners too. More offerings will be forthcoming; I'm sure you'll find something you haven't played yet!

A tengu of perhaps four and a half feet in height enters the room. He wears an unusual but simple outfit of orange robes and a bamboo hat. With a staff in one hand, the monk takes a respectful bow, free hand in prayer position over his heart. "Greetings, honorable one. I am Kuaizi Wu, at your service."

A fresh faced human female walks into the room and surveys the crowd. She runs her hand through her short hair as she saunters up to the bar and calls "Hey barkeep, Have anything to refresh a weary traveler?

With a polite bow, the crowish man in orange robes politely greets the nice lady after she gives her order. "Hello, noble lady. Kuaizi Wu, at your service." He looks hesitantly at the bar stools, however. The tengu motions politely for the lady to join him at one of the few open tables nearby when she is ready. He seats himself and sips (through his beak) at a cup of tea.

The somber looking elf looks to the Tengu and others, [b]I am Senja Witherwind. I have some skill with a bow, and a little more with spells. How about some wine?" He waves to the waitress, indicating he wishes for some wine.

After taking a drink. "So, where do you hail from?" he asks the other young pathfinders present.

I would be interested ... level 1 summoner.

...and that's a full table! I'll keep taking names as alternates; if we get enough I may run a second table.

"Well met, Senja Witherwind-san! Please join us."

The jovial tengu answers the elf's question with dramatic hand gestures to emphasize the great distance, "I am from far, far away Empire of the Dragon. It is located in the southeast of Tian Xia... farther than the Kelesh kingdoms... farther still than the Vudrani realms... across even the great Embaral Ocean!"

His humility then kicks in, "I am but a simple monk. I hope only to emulate my great teachers, the greatest of whom is Lord Iro-Shu, the Enlightened One. But you may know him as Lord Irori in the west."

"Ho-ho-ho", big tiefling in sturdy riding boots comes in, "sign me in for some distant travel, I got annoyed by ignorant faces I saw everyday in streets of Westcrown. I read a book about goblins and start dreaming of being one. Definitely need a good fight to get rid of this crap!"

Tiefling wears black-with-red travellers outfit and scale male. As he sits, he puts his warhammer within his hand reach. Crooked letters "BRAINSPLASHR" are scrabbled on one side.

I would very much like to play if you are willing to run a second table. I have a number of lower level characters I can bring so I can help fill a missing gaps in party comp. I'd be using a GM star to replay since I played this 4ish years ago with my now retired Dwarven Barbarian/Rogue.

Amelia takes a seat at the proffered chair and nods her thanks to the monk. Many thanks, kind sir. I have only heard rumours of your teacher, but I hold any noble path in high regard.

Casual attire had never really been Evans strong point, as he strides into the Tavern in full combat gear and makes a beeline for the open bar, requests a drink, and with one in hand makes his way back to the table where his fellow pathfinders sit "You wouldn't believe how much all this weigh's" he grumbles as he lets his buckler fall next to his seat

"Ah noble sir, but meditation can work on wonders," the monk helpfully suggests to Maldrek for his discontent. It appears, however, he has yet to master the nuances of Inner Sea adages.

To Amelia, "May I ask, honorable lady, who is your teacher?"

To Evan, the tengu appears to have taken his comment as a literal question. "Um... well, noble warrior, I would say perhaps... fifty pounds? Maybe sixty?" Kuaizi looks skeptically at the now creaking wooden bench beneath the dwarf...

We definitely have enough players for two tables (assuming everyone who signed up is still interested come November 1st...) We still have room for three more...and I may shift the tables around a bit in the hopes of creating more balanced parties.

At some point this evening I'll create threads for each game and post the appropriate links for dotting and such.

Awesome! Thanks for running this! I'll choose my character within a few days. Any chance you would open up the game play so we can dot it?

I'd like to switch to a half-elf investigator (new character) but our party is kind of light on martials, so you can move me to table 2 if you want.

"I am more of a home grown wizard, if you wish. I was taken in by an old hermit when I was very young, and he trained me into my powers. But he also instilled a healthy respect for others choices and personal paths to personal fulfillment."

Fine with moving to either table for balance :)

"I learned from elven scholars... who also tought me a bit about archery. I hope to be of use as much as possible."
