Get a definite 2001 Space Oddity vibe here...
Conlaoch takes a five foot step to the large ape, and smacks it with his greatclub.
Two handed power attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
/Amelia Rose/ |
After being reverted to her normal form, but before entering the battle, Amelia stands straight for the first time since entering this accursed place, and fixes her robes to a more modest appearence. "Many thanks for giving me my form back.. I look so much better without all the fur! Besides, it itched horribly!"
as she enteres the room
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
"Look out! That thing might be dangerous too!"
Amelia decides that since Conloach has engaged the ape, she will engage the Idol, and casts Summon Monster to call forth an Eagle to engage it.
I had hoped to get this out of the way earlier, but the ape thing kinda killed any spell casting thus far. This is the first spell caster I have ever played, and a little coaching may be needed on what to post and how. I think I have this correct, but let me know if I did it wrong..
Evan Blackstone |
Evan shrieks in rage, responding with his his weapon as he smashes it down on his challenger, while simultaneously triggering his Destruction Judgment
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
GM Beman |
Coloach, Veilwar and Evan make fast work of the giant gorilla...rendering it unconscious with a mighty blow from each. The gathered simians hoot and howl as their champion hits the ground.
"The idol. Destroy the idol!" the man imprisoned at the altar can barely be heard above the cacophony. Amelia prepares to do just that...summoning a creature that will perform as she command!
Evan Blackstone |
Nodding in agreement, Evan lashes out at the idol
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Veilwar Nightshade |
Veil will also charge the idol as soon as able ...
Katana: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 3 + 2 = 19 for 2H Slashing: 1d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 1 = 8
Senja Witherwind |
Once the Ape is Downed, this will free Senja for a fairly straight shot at the idol before the group charges. (hold until right before charges).
attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8
Kuaizi "the Craw" Wu |
Round 1
"Caw! Thank you, Nigel Aldain-san I presume?" Kuaizi calls out to the bound and sigiled elf. The monk swiftly leaps between and past his companions towards the idol. Drawing his chain whip along the way, he defensively smacks down with a strong snap, though it (may) go wide.
Attack (9-Section Whip): 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 3 - 4 = 12
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Mod: -4 fight defensive
GM Beman |
As the idol is destroyed by the coordinated effort of the Pathfinders, the gathered primates try to flee the museum in sudden confusion. The mists infesting the museum vanish as well, and everyone under their control is freed. Evan returns to his normal self...seemingly none worse for wear.
Nigel is incredibly grateful for his rescue and gives awards you with a rare weapon from his own personal collection to express his gratitude. The weapon is an incredibly ancient Mwangi spear that Chelish explorers found near the colony of Sargava during the reign of the expansionist Chelish prince, Haliad I.
With the curse of the Tik Taan ended, the Blakros Museum returns to business as usual (after some clean up). More importantly, the eternally grateful Nigel now makes all of the Blakros Museum’s vast collection available to the Society for study and considers re-petitioning membership.
Well played everyone! Happy Thanksgiving to those who are celebrating today. The event has been reported to the event organizers...and I'll get chronicle sheets out ASAP!
...and in case anyone is keeping score Table B was ahead of you for most of the scenario but you just beat them to the finish line. Bravo!
Veilwar Nightshade |
Thank you very much ... and Happy Thanks Giving to you and yours.
