1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 81d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Berith |
Now that his woudns have been healed, Berith returns to the fight with more deliberate steps.
Berith double moves at half speed (70 feet with haste) so that he doesn't have to make an acro check.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Boge silently moves in and swings a kick at the person in the back!

OUT OF COMBAT
Wizzy, steps forward, and lets out a whisper. It races towards the Keeper, and intensifies within his cranium. Blood starts to trickle from his ears, as the sound ruptures the man's eardrums. He slumps in the hippogriff's arms. The threat is over...or so the Pathfinder members think.
A few moments, after the last Keeper falls, you hear a crack of thunder, and voice cries out from a distance. You are unable to make out much, only the words YOG-SOTHOTH!. A second later, the western wall explodes as middenstone is sprayed throughout the complex. The floor starts to buckle, and the walkway starts to break up and crumble as well.
all squares become difficult terrain as the building shakes
Even though we are out of initiative, we are still in rounds, all squares are difficult terrain
Round 1
(1/2) Berith/Idemi
(3) Wizzy
(4) Boge + reflex save
(5/6) Aviendha/hippo
(7) Voro
(8) Jaysin
1d4 ⇒ 11d8 ⇒ 4
The building starts to collapse around the Pathfinders, as is it Boge sees some timbers and roofing start to crumble around him.
Boge damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1 DC 15 reflex negates damage
----------------------------------------
Nope, no time to search him or the rest of the building
Aviendha-RK |
Did we have time to search Keeper and relieve him of his items?
Voros |
Two questions:
We have to rush outside through the door we came from (B1)?
And is haste still on? If I counted right we still have one round of haste.
Aviendha-RK |
Oh dear, all the way back?! What kind of door is there on the west side, because getting back through difficult terrain will be nigh impossible if the building will crash around us. Maybe it is quicker destroying the door than trying to run all the way back.
Aviendha does a double move the other way while holding on to the railings and/or wall to make it back as quick as possible.
acrobatics: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Voros |
Voros will double move at half speed.
DM Stylz |

** spoiler omitted **
The other door is a DC 30 disable and a ? Break DC. I am just going to rule that the other door was busted open during the explosion so you can exit via either door.
Aviendha-RK |
Can I get the hippogriff to carry me towards the exit faster? I'm not allowed to ride it yet, but perhaps it can help me make extended jumps using his strength to carry me. It has 18 strength so it should be strong enough...

With a good handle animal check or if it is trained to do so, it could use the rules for "push/drag" to give you a few extra squares of movement.
Aviendha-RK |
handle animal: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Probably not this round :s. I'm guessing Havok will fly above Aviendha, not quite getting what she wants him to do.
Boge Granitefist |
Ref: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
I'm guessing Wizzy is the slowest and Boge is the fastest. He also has the strength to carry Wizzy though.
Boge gets bonked on the head by a falling timber but keeps his wits about him. He silently grabs Wizzy and throws the gnome over one of his grassy shoulders as he runs for the exit.
Boge has 40' movement, so 80' per round with a double move. But he's not the type to leave everyone behind so he will bring up the rear behind everyone else to make sure no one falls and gets left behind.
DM Stylz |
The group all decide that the building crumbling cannot be a good sign, and decide to run the hell out of there as fast as possible. Berith and Idemi book as fast as possible, using the various railings to their benefit.
Wizzy, thinks about running, then Boge grabs him while moving and slings the little man on his shoulder/back area and continues to book it.
Aviendha, realizes that she is in trouble, being the farthest from the exit, and whistles for her hippogriff to assist her. Unfortunately it doesn't understand and simply hover above her.
Voros and Jaysin both make for the exit.
-----------------------------------
Round 2
(1/2) Berith/Idemi (Idemi reflex save)
(3) Boge/Wizzy + reflex save
(4/5) Aviendha/hippo
(6) Voros
(7) Jaysin
1d4 ⇒ 22d8 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4
As the group tries their best to get out of the building, the building continues to crumble and break down. Timbers and other structure element continue to fall down around them. The building comes down, and Berith, Wizzy and Boge are all in the path.
Berith, Boge, and Wizzy reflex DVC 15 negates: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Aviendha-RK |
handle animal: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24
hope that is enough for some assisted movement.

DM Stylz |
You can go out wither door, the front in B1 or the side door of B2. Also since your AC isn't trained, I would view it as a “Push” an Animal: To push an animal means to get it to perform a task or trick that it doesn't know but is physically capable of performing, which is DC 25 sorry. Unless you can show/prove to me otherwise.
You can move back to your original position from round 1, then move for round 1 and round 2, since I may not have made it clear that you can go through either door.
Jaysin Deckert |
Jaysin will stay with the group. If he has one last round of haste he'll have a 60' movement speed.
DM Stylz |
Jaysin: haste is gone, but you are right near the doors so it shouldn't be a problem for you
@ everyone: all the doors on the map are busted open, so feel free to leave from any of them
Berith/Idemi: Escaped out building
(1) Boge/Wizzy: still to run
(2/3) Aviendha/hippo: still to run
(4) voros: still to run
(5) Jaysin: still to run
Damage tracker:
Berith: 5 damage
Wizzy: 5 damage
Boge: 6 damage
Voros |
Voros begins to fear and accelerates his pace.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Aviendha-RK |
Perhaps if I tell the hippogriff to just fly up ahead and hang on, see what it does? :P.
Aviendha runs along as fast as she can again. One hand on the railing, the other trying to grab Havok's legs (it is a noble creature after all).
Jaysin Deckert |
Jaysin will double move in order to leave the building out of the south door with the others.
DM Stylz |
Round 3
Berith/Idemi: Escaped out building
Jaysin: escapes building on round 3
Boge/Wizzy: escapes builing on round 3
(1/2) Aviendha/hippo: still to go, about out of room B2
(3) voros: still to run, almot out of room B2, can exist side doors of room B1
Damage tracker:
Berith: 5 damage
Wizzy: 5 damage
Boge: 6 damage
1d4 ⇒ 33d5 ⇒ (3, 4, 2) = 9
A few make it out, as timbers and the building starts to collapse around them.
Aviendha, hippo, Voros DC 15 reflex save negates: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Voros |
Save ref: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
Voros goes faster and exists the building.
Aviendha-RK |
reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
handle animal: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32
Both Aviendha and Havok miss the falling debris easily and finally Havok understands what Aviendha wants him to do. He extends his legs and Aviendha manages to grasp them and uses the hippogriff to hurry along towards the exit.
Let me know how far I can get. Hippo has 80 flying speed.
DM Stylz |
Presuming you leave by the eastern doors in B1, I would put you outside the building 10'.
After 18 seconds the group manages to escape the building that is crumbling around them, but it has t completely collapsed yet.
end of round 3, I am going to continue in rounds. Please let me know what you do for healing buffing. You can give me what you would founder certain events (ie getting attacked, seeing the building fully collapse etc). Feel free to place yourselves anywhere on the grassy area
Voros |
Voros joins the group and if he sees a threat, he will drink an extract of Targeted Bomb admixture, fearing a bigger threat.
Aviendha-RK |
"I am thinking that the monster is onto us either way..." Aviendha says tentatively. "What else would appear after we killed the last keeper and apparently is strong enough to break down that building... We should prepare ourselves for a tough battle. Does anyone know what kind of monster we are fighting? And what is that 'YOG-SOTHOTH' call I heard?"
Aviendha will start to buff herself with the following spells until something interrupts or changes which would be seeing a monster or hints thereof: Iron skin, Bull strength, Aid, and protection from evil. Total would give her +6 ac vs evil (otherwise +4), +2 saves vs evil, +3 to hit +2 to dmg (one handed), 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 temp hitpoints +1 vs fear. I have some fervor left to speed that up, but would rather save it for emergency heals.
Floggentop Wizzbottle III |
Round 1: Cast Heroism on Boge
Round 2: Cast Vanish on himself
Round 3: Start Inspire Courage
Subject to change depending on what happens round to round.
Voros |
"Oh, I see! I'll follow your advice." Voros starts to drink his mutagen and then extracts.
Round 1: Mutagen [DEX] (60 minutes, +2 AC [+1 natural, +1 dex], +2 ref save, +2 ranged attacks, -2 will save)
Round 2: Shield (6 minutes, +4 AC [shield])
Round 3: Cat's Grace (6 minutes, +2 ref saves, +2 ranged attacks)
Round 4: Readies a Targeted Bomb admixture extract as said earlier.
Total buffs: +6 AC, +4 ref save, +4 ranged attacks, -2 will save and TBA if he has enough time.
Boge Granitefist |
Boge sets Wizzy on the ground and then re-enters his fighting stance.
Round 1: Swift action into Mantis Style, use a ki point for barkskin (+3 natural armor)
Round 2: drink potion of clw for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Round 3 and following: stay alert
DM Stylz |
Round 4:
Wizzy: cast heroism on Boge
Boge: ki point for barkskin
Voros: mutagen ( AC is now 21/touch 16/ff 17, ref +13, will +2)
Aviendha: iron skin (AC is now 28)
Round 5:
Wizzy: casts vanish on self (lasts 5 rounds)
Boge: heal self for 3 HP
Voros: casts shield (AC now 25)
Aviendha: casts bull strength
Round 6: PREP STOPS
Wizzy: 4 rounds vanish left
After a heart-pounding 12 seconds, the building finally gives way to whatever happened to it, at it comes tumbling down. The Pathfinders are lucky to be alive and very fortunate that they were all able to get out for it doesn't look like anyone would have survived the implosion.
You can see something rustling on the rubble, by the debris it is trying to get through, it is large whatever it is.
Do you wish to continue with your prep work, if so everyone can chose to prep their round 3 actions?
Idemi N'josk |
Idemi spends the first 12 seconds noting down the collapse of the building and speculating about its possible connections to the defeat of the Keeper. He finally looks up and notices that everyone is preparing for something.
"Somethin' comin'? Berith, take care of it."
Idemi casts Enlarge Person on Berith.
Jaysin Deckert |
Jaysin has nothing to buff himself with so he will ready an attack, waiting for the enemy to show itself.
Voros |
Voros takes a 5' step back and drinks a Targeted Bomb Admixture, nearly choking in the rush.
Aviendha-RK |
Aviendha will cast protection from evil whilst keeping an eye out for the creature and asking Havok to do the same.
handle animal: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34
perception Aviendha: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
perception+scent Havok: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28
