Antas expends a hero point and uses it for move action.

Antas drives forward and pushes towards the smuggler in the eastern cave.

This cavern, like the passage leading to it, is well lit by lanterns held in brackets around the walls. Stacked against the wall to your left, as you enter, you can see five small bolts of cloth, while to your right are eight small casks in a neat row.

The ceiling height is about 8 to 10 feet (it varies). The walls are covered in patches of slimy salty moss and there is coarse burlap-like mats places on the ground in long runs to apparently help them walk. The ground itself is covered in patchy moss and sand.

Smugger 1

The old sea dog moves up north in the cavern hearing the group moving forward to the east as soon as he sees the back of Rabalar he fires his crossbow. He then quickly slides back a few feet to get the cavern wall between him and the group to the east.

LTXBW Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

The bolt flies over Rabalar's left shoulder and shatters into the cavern wall in a burst of wood and metal. Rabalar looks over his shoulder as he sees the man slide back into the tunnel.

Don't want to be a nag ALLENDM - if he takes a 5' step all good, but if he moves out of a threatened (by Antas) square, I think smuggler 8 eats an AoO?

Yep...but not every person makes sound decisions in the heat of moment. I try to play the NPC's based on INT/WIS and experience as well as the moment. None of these smugglers are experienced combatants and with what he has seen in front him his next move would be to fall back as best he can. With Antas expending a hero point to gain an extra action that was something that would take him by surprise so fire the crossbow, fall back, draw weapon is what he would probably do in that circumstance...and yes Antas gets a AoO. I don't think it is fair to play the BBEG with the intelligence/wisdom he has but not play the smugglers who lack it in the same manner. :) It was a smart move by Antas to expend the hero point as it overwhelmed the smuggler.

Peran steps into the southern tunnel and sees the smuggler falling back and swings and misses. He sees another tunnel going south into darkness.

Let me know what type of weapon you are using in your attack roll.

Ferona illuminates the narrow tunnel but only sees another dark tunnel with natural walls. There is a rancid salt water smell coming from the tunnel.

As the man drops back and draws his cutlass Antas unrelenting swings his hammer bringing into the man's chest...there a cracking sound, a crunch, and the man's eyes go wide and his shoulders slump as he falls back. He is not moving any longer and Antas is now standing in an empty room full of casks and bolts of expensive-looking cloth.

Smuggler 3

DM's Eyes Only:

The smuggler repositions and keeps himself readied. He has a hard time working through Sanbalet's magic but they have practiced this a lot in preparation for a raid from above. He keeps his aim on the women examining the tunnel and the illusionary wall in between them.

Readied - If the woman calls out or appears to not believe the wall he will fire on her.

Narciso moves up as far as he can, asking for Naia to let him by. "The effect of my music will last for a few more seconds, but I'm worried about Grond. He's been in melee long enough that he might be hurt. Or someone else too and I do have some spells that might help."

If Naia let's me by I'll move forward looking for Grond or anyone that looks hurt. Soros is the one at the bottom of the stairs with the blue symbol over him, correct?

Ok, I need to make some clarification. Naia moved two rounds ago to Grond's position to retrieve her harpoon. Although, I hadn't checked the map to see if someone moved her from her postion on the stairs... THEN Ferona called for Naia to follow her, which I posted that Naia would do on the most recent round, though that may be because Ferona thought Naia was still on the stairs.

So I think if that is the case, Naia should actually still be with Grond, and is going to move where I just positioned her on the map, at the top of the southern-feeding passage between Grond and Antas and next to the downed Smuggler #7...If Ferona was calling to Naia from where she was with Grond, then I can move her to Ferona's position. Naia is helpful and acquiescing that way....at time. Just ask Rab.

To be clear you are going to stop and kneel down by Soros and inspect him? If you have spellcraft you can make a roll. If you have heal you can add +2 for heal.

Spellcraft check DC14:

You look at Soros...when you check his eyes they are fully dilated and it appears his jaw is clenched as are his hands as if something overwhelmed his senses and essentially caused him to pass out. His muscles are stiff but not hard...as if he seized as he dropped. This appears to be magical in nature and probably visual and it happened quickly. There is no apparent physical damage or harm to him.

she moves back towards Ferona and Narciso and sees Soros on the floor unconscious. She knows something happened before the man fell...a flash of multi-colored lights. He seems to point something at Peran and speaks in a weird...but dark sort of tongue whatever it was it short...Peran has never heard the obscure language. Just as you fire your arrow and miss, something flies out of the dimly lit area from the south...as if aimed at Peran but it hits the wall just behind and above you. You glance over your shoulder and see the greenish liquid cover the cavern wall and the moss on the wall start to smolder as if it is burning...there is a burning smell of moss, dirt, and it has an acidic smell to it that burns your nose as you smell it.

Smuggler 4

DM's Eyes Only:

The smuggler following orders but very worried about what is going on tot the east...with all the screaming holds fast and continues to wait for the two women and the man to commit in either direction. If they go west he will let them spring the trap first and then slater them. If they go east he and his mate will move up behind them and pin them down with crossbow fire! If they figure out the master's illusion they will open fire on them.

Readied Action
1) If they figure out the illusion he opens fire.
2) If they go west down the fake tunnel and stay to the western wall they hold fire.
3) If they go east they will hold until they can flank them with crossbow fire.

Everyone has gone in Group 2 except for Antas. He needs to go and then Group 3 may go.

The blow is a bad one as it sinks into Peran's shoulder deeply and the man pulls it back and then falls back. The wound burns as he pulls the blade back...Peran can feel the bone and flesh as the metal pulls out. Then he feels the warm wet feel of blood as it spills onto his neck and arm.
