What steps are y'all taking to destroy the base? Completely?

I'm trying to recall who we gave the device we created to so they could do that very thing.

Paradigm thinks for a moment and then says over MindText. "Which one of you has the destruction device? We're almost out of here and ready to turn this place into a crater."

we didnt expressly say who got the device, was it small enough to be taken in by a normalish strength person or someone the size and strength of bio/enkidu?. Also how's the fighting outside going gm?


I think Crackerjack last had the device, but Thomas had to carry it in so it would stay invisible. Thomas or Paradigm can take control of it at this point.

I'll go ahead I suppose, how many V'sori are there and is there anyway to tell who's who, maybe rank or something since we're supposed to deliver a message before killing uhhh Shavak.

Helion rushed from her kill towards another V'sori letting Bio keep at his ranged duel. Swinging with ferocity again hoping to bring down another Fishy-Sharkman thing, "Keep moving big guy they aren't done yet."

"You'll probably break it anyway," Paradigm says as he takes the device in hand and starts the power up sequence. Once ready, he aims it behind them and prepares it for automatic locking and firing. "Once this thing goes off, anything not us will be atomized in minutes. I suggest we get out of here. Just in case."


Paradigm, you originally described the device as a "flamethrower" HERE, which to my mind requires you to traverse the base, burning sections as you go. Now it sounds like you're describing it more like a bomb (or are you just thinking it will destroy the immediate area? - but Dr. D said to destroy the *entire* base). Since you originally said "flamethrower", you're going to have to stick with that.

Hellion manages to put the point of her blade at the nearest V'sori's throat, proving that she could kill him in an instant. He freezes, then says in a strong accent "Ssshhhvak isss in...comand sssenter of building,", pointing to the base. He waits to see what she does next.

If you wish to kill him, you can use the damage roll you've already made.

True enough. Thus the locking and firing part.

Paradigm grins wickedly as gouts of white hot plasma shoot forth from the device, incinerating anything flammable and melting everything else into atomic sludge. He uses the weapon to carve a path through the facility, destroying everything he can see, and everything the onboard video is recording. Looking at the others over his shoulder, he says, "This shouldn't take long, get the device out of here, I'll deal with the rest of the junk."

Kathrine smiled and hissed at the v'sori, "Thank you kindly." before lopping it's head clean off she did promise to make it quick.

She then keyed her comm unit, "Para, our secondary target is in the command center, can you guide me and Bio there?"


Enkidu says "I've got this - Thomas, why don't you stay with Paradigm to protect him from stray V'sori?"

Thomas does as he's told, staying back a bit and riding herd in case any fin is dumb enough to come close to a mad scientist's flame-thrower just to play hero.

"What is the exit plan? I'm going to need some decent cover if I'm going to run this out. Thomas, would your cloaking device cover you, me, and the macguffin?"

It seems weird to me that damage to armor is determined *after* the Vigor roll, but that's the way it's described...

"You. You have bothered us long enough. Prepare to die." comes a metallic-sounding voice from the suit.

Sure. I'll make an effort to be here through the fight. I also have a backup character mostly done if things go poorly (for me, anyway).

He sets the MacGuffin down to one side, and then squares off with his opponent. He rolls his neck around his shoulders before settling into a glare at the power goof.

He punches one oversized gorilla fist into his other hand with a smack and yells, "FORM OF... CAN OPENER!"

With that he shifts again onto the shape of a Utah Raptor.

Paradigm is too focused on destroying what is left of everything inside the base to acknowledge Thomas' departure. He instead makes sure the onboard camera is still recording everything before he incinerates it.

Enkidu's first attack slashes thru the armor, but he doesn't feel his claws touch the creature's skin. His second attack misses completely.
Enkidu, don't forget that a +1 on the skill die is also added to the Wild die...

Hellion's attack hits the V'Sori, but doesn't get thru its armor.

Thomas, if you "run" this round, you'll get outside the building, then you can attack whoever you want next round.
Ooops, just noticed I left you out of initiative. Sorry, having one group in initiative and one group out is confusing...

Actually, now that I look, according to the rules, you can only make a Touch attack (Fighting +2), which requires no opposing roll. I got sidetracked by your "bearhug" description.

while the v'sori doesn't get hurt does his armor still start to melt since it's inorganic matter?


According to the rules, the Vigor roll comes before assigning Wounds, and it's the Wounds that damage armor, which I too thought weird, but that's the way it is.

Oh right, I was looking for a shape to shift to that would give me a leg up, and then got distracted. Guess I'll stick with the Raptor for the moment.

Thomas knows that he can't do much to V'Sori in combat...no matter how much help he has.

Also, he's very squishy. Like, totes squishy.

Instead he tries something else. And there's no need to be sneaky about it.

Chamealeoned as a V'Sori officer as he is, and floating in the air, he bets that no one has noticed him yet. Or, at least, isn't paying attention. So he tries digging around in the brain of the V'Sori fighting Kat.

The power's description says you get one surface thought, and so I'm assuming that you can't specify what you're looking for (maybe with a Raise).
