Sorry, I thought I had updated my subtitle to my Gryphon stats. Must not have saved or something. They are listed now.

21 damage would be at least 1 wound, an AP of 3+ (likely) would make for 2 wounds.

Soak: 1d10 ⇒ 41d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + (3) = 9
That will successfully soak both wounds.

The giant leonid hybrid pivots in flight, reorienting on his new foe. He builds up speed, and buzzes past the power armoured V'sori, slashing with his talons.

Claw 1: 1d12 ⇒ 111d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + (5) = 11
Damage 1: 1d12 + 1 + 2d6 ⇒ (5) + 1 + (3, 2) = 11
W/Raise?: 11 + 1d6 ⇒ 11 + (1) = 12

Thomas - your post ended with "Tell ya what, I'll still give ya a Smarts roll to be able to pull it off.", so I've been waiting for that roll. Since you'd said that, I didn't think there was anything else to discuss, since this was most likely a one-time deal. I'll post my thoughts about it there tomorrow.

Haha! And I was waiting for you to say 'okay, you've got another great idea, Thomas! You are as wise as you are handsome.' Ironically it doesn't seem to matter.

Thomas contemplates how to engage the enemy...but then Gryphon-kidu comes along and dwarfs any meddling he might have engaged in.

Not wanting to get in the way, he keeps a close orbit, observing as best he can.

Though he drags behind in speed, the chase turns a corner, and Tom takes a shortcut through the building, maintaining his distance.


Ok, the ship is 30" above ground, which now puts it out of range of Biohazard's thrown globs of goo.

Enkidu's first attack connects with the flying V'sori, but only scratches the armor. His second attack misses the V'sori completely.

So, the ship is 30" up, what about the flying dude? How close are the building spacing inch wise(how tall are the buildings?), anything i could use to get a good jump either 4" vert or 8" Horizontal(probably not and even if there was i'd probably miss jumping on it and plummet to my death)? Cause otherwise i'm gonna need one hell of an explosive set on my pistol to even ding anything at my in it's -4 range, and even more explosions based on the fact that an 11(with heavy trait) didn't scratch the paint. We're sorta running with no detailed environment to use to our advantage, and it's hard to keep track of things since we don't have a map.

Hellion - you're in a warehouse district, with large 1 or 2 story buildings separated by 4" roads. If you could escape their searchlight, you could probably duck inside a warehouse...

Enkidu, a Benny only allows you to re-roll *one* attack. I'm guessing it was your second attack in the first set you were most un-satisfied with, so I'll replace it with the first attack in the second set.

Enkidu's first attack misses the V'sori, but his second attack digs into the armor and rips it apart, doing the same to the V'sori.

The V'sori ship is trying to keep its spotlight on at least one of the people on the ground :
Who(alphabetically): 1d3 ⇒ 1 = Biohazard

and shoots at him :
Shooting: 1d10 ⇒ 2

But the laser blast merely explodes a section of the road next to him.

Helion steps out of the vehicle and taps her communicator, "Are we fighting this or do you all want to scatter, it'll be a lot harder to track all of us and it seems like it can only focus on one of us."

She Rushes to one of the taller buildings and starts to dash up it and leaps further up as she hits the lip, spinning to take a shot at the vessel with her measly handgun before landing back down on the rooftop.

Also round 5 so i think Paradigm arrives, assuming we're in the middle of the road we'd be 2" from either side 2 stories is.. what.. 20ft->7ish yrds=another 4"ish? so 6" of movement to hit the top of a building for Helion which is less than her pace even(wow) which should bring the vessel to effectively 26" away from her still at long range *sigh* Uh... and then jump another 4 inches vertically as part of my movement bring it to 22" within medium range woo! And take a shot that I don't believe invokes MAP? Might hit but i doubt 6+1ap will do anything if a 23 Heavy doesn't, meaning it's gonna basically be just Enkidu fighting this thing unless it's suddenly weak to hollow points or i get some whacky ass explosions.


Yes, Paradigm arrives. You see the van with several holes punched thru it, a V'sori flyer hovering in the air, and some of your teammates on the ground below.

Summoning his power, Paradigm lands on top of a nearby building and focuses on the bridge of the V'Sori ship. His nanomachines work their way into the vessel as his mind's eye shows him an image of the inner workings of the craft.

Paradigm - there were some penalties you didn't know about, but even with them you managed to get into the ship's systems.

After dismembering the flying V'sori, Enkidu swings around in order to try and get in range of the craft again.

You had mentioned previously a guy was leaning out of the door and shooting at the van with a hand weapon. If the door is still open, Enkidu will attack the shooter. If not, he'll go for the fuel line again.

The pilot, now alone and without a weapon on his ship, decides that caution is better than valor, and the ship swings around and heads away from the group as fast as possible.

She slid down the wall a sort of blue gray dust falling sliding behind her as she eased herself to the ground and walked over looking for a man-hole. "Fly if you want, or take the sewer, I think it's better if we split up and stay where their superior air forces aren't gonna kill us immediately."

Helion took a healthy jaunt on the sewer ceiling back to the base before she emerged. She passed on the food and quickly went to take a shower before returning to eat.

I don't actually know if we ever sold off our goods to turn it into hard cash. But i believe kat can just call and set up a pick up whenever we have it really.

Paradigm - you were trying to control the ship, but it got out of range before you could "switch gears" to downloading data.

Everyone takes their own route home, and eventually everyone gets back to the base ok.

The group *has* converted the bank goods into cash ($60,000), but Thomas - what "order" are you waiting for? I can't find anything in the posts...

About a week passes, and Kat's connection finally contacts her and says her ride is ready, she can pick it up whenever.

Re: Switching Gears- That's fair.

Paradigm returns to the base and goes to the lab immediately, putting up a 'do not disturb' rune on the door. He spends the next few hours poring over the book, carefully preserving it by using his magic to turn pages rather than his fingers.

Essentially this was an in game reason for him to be able to learn new powers and boost his abilities when he gets more Advances later on. That and be able to use Super Sorcery to essentially do just about anything as needed to make up for anything the team lacks.

Thomas asked Kat to get in contact with her guy, the same one we bought the vehicle from. To see if he could procure 2 vibro swords/daggers and a pair of stun batons. Then we sort of handwaved it as yeah we've got the extra money and he can so long as he's not buying like a monomolecular katana. It wasn't exactly secret since he specifically asked kat to talk to do the finding for him.
