Thomas Roland |
No, I am only able to communicate with Hrungir through Telepathy. I'm actually talking to him, and he is passing the words on with MIND BULLETS! (That's telekinesis Kyle!) I suppose if I just did some magic and carried a GoPro and one of you had an average cell phone then, yes, you all could see what I see.... Mental note for the future!

Professor Paradigm |
Opening the door, Paradigm takes a cursory glance around. "Not sure where exactly you are Thomas, but this place seems very empty for a secret base."
GM_ZenFox42 |
Paradigm (and those that follow him), you find yourself in a circular area which is the meeting point of three different short hallways spaced 120 degrees apart. There are open doors on all the hallways, and something that looks like blood on one of the walls. There a puddle of something viscous on the floor. The lights flicker intermittently. Do you go "up", "left", or "right"?
Professor Paradigm |
Paradigm moves over to examine the blood on the wall. "Someone has been here. Is this human blood or Visori?"
Science!: 1d8 ⇒ 11d6 ⇒ 2
Professor Paradigm |
"Can you handle it on your own Thomas? If not, we will be there shortly." Paradigm looks at the spot of blood once more and then continues to follow the others towards where Thomas is.
Thomas Roland |
'Uh, it's one human-looking 'thing' under a table. And, no, unless it has a clipboard and glasses, I do not think that I can take anything single-handed in combat.'
Thomas floats patiently.
As soon as the others get here, he'll probably tell them to keep going while he checks out the 'Left' pathway from the entrance.
Thomas Roland |
Thomas starts to think that this guy might be an ally, but wants to confirm his suspicion with Mind Reading.
He just wants to know what he's doing right here.

Thomas Roland |
Thomas turns visible briefly as he passes the party and winks at them. "There's a guy under a table up ahead and he's gonna totally attack you because he's mean and hates everyone and everything. I should think that all of you together are able to handle one little super-powered human. Imma check out the other fork.
Byyye-eeeee."
Thomas turns invisible again as he keeps going, checking out the 'Left' turn as he came in.
Professor Paradigm |
"Right. Let's do that then." Paradigm makes sure his shielding is still up, conjures a ball of flame into his open palm and boldly walks forward to assault the tiny table troll. "You may as well come out. Or I can simply destroy the table and you will be outed. The choice is yours, but be careful. The rest of these guys may not give you a choice should you do something untoward."
GM_ZenFox42 |
The table suddenly flies upward as the figure beneath it stands up, gesturing in a manner that is clear he is about to attack you.
Paradigm, since you already had a "ball of flame" in your hand, I'm considering you on Hold, and you can interrupt this guy. So it's opposed Agility roll time :
Agility & Wild: 1d8 ⇒ 71d6 ⇒ 5 = 7
Paradigm, if you can beat a 7, you go first, otherwise he does.

Paradigm, your bolt veers off about a foot away from his body.
He attacks, lightning bolts flying from his hands :
Shooting & Wild: 1d8 ⇒ 81d6 ⇒ 1
ACE!: 1d8 ⇒ 2 = 10, a Raise
Doing

To

With AP 2, that's 2 Wounds, if I'm calculating correctly.
And again :
Shooting & Wild: 1d8 ⇒ 61d6 ⇒ 3 = 6, Success
Doing
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1) = 4
To
Victim #: 1d3 ⇒ 3 = Dark Angel
And yet again :
Shooting & Wild: 1d8 ⇒ 51d6 ⇒ 3 = 5, Success
Doing
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 2) = 8
To Paradigm.

I'm saying that Ibrahim and Diffraction are just outside the room, while Paradigm, Enkidu, and Dark Angel are inside, and block the view of the bad guy. So if you're outside the room you must move inside to attack.
ORDER : Hrungir (act whenever, +2 to Trait and Damage!), Dark Angel, Diffraction, Enkidu, Paradigm, Bad guy, Ibrahim.
Thomas, you can act independently of this, and tell me what you're doing at any time.
Professor Paradigm |
Paradigm only grins as the lightning crackles over his force field. Readying another bolt of flame, he launches it again, hoping to catch him in the middle of another attack.

Hrungir manages to throw the shard directly at the guy's center, which pierces whatever kind of protection he's got, doing 1 Wound.
Soak & Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 11d6 ⇒ 2 Nope. 1 Wound.
The guy howls with pain, and seems to get angrier.
Everyone please remind me if I forget the -1 to his future rolls!
What's everyone else doing?
Professor Paradigm |
Seeing that he seems to be missing perfect shots, Paradigm tries another tactic. He summons his technomagical powers to remove the protection from the charged attacker. "There will be no more of that!"
SuperSorcery Negate Power: 1d10 - 2 ⇒ (10) - 2 = 81d6 - 2 ⇒ (6) - 2 = 4
Aces!: 1d10 ⇒ 21d6 ⇒ 1
=10 to Negate whatever protection he has.
GM_ZenFox42 |
Paradigm - so, Super Sorcery says that your Sorcery roll acts as the "active" roll in any Power, so the 10 is your Touch Attack for the Negate. But then Negate says it only lowers Attributes and Skills (without the Leach modifier), and this guy is using a super Power to protect himself. So, long story short, no effect.
Anyone else?
GM_ZenFox42 |
The guy, with a wild look in his eyes, attacks the party, lightning bolts flying from his hands :
Shooting & Wild - Wound: 1d8 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 61d6 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
Doing
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 1) = 6
To
Victim: 1d5 ⇒ 2 = Angel
And again :
Shooting & Wild - Wound: 1d8 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 21d6 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
Missing
Victim: 1d5 ⇒ 3 = Enkidu
And again :
Shooting & Wild - Wound: 1d8 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 31d6 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Missing
Victim: 1d5 ⇒ 3 = Enkidu
I forget, is Ibrahim with the group or not? If so, he's up!
-- Dark Angel -- |
Angel snarls something unintelligible and swings her sword again.
Toughness absorbed the damage, but now she is pi$$ed!
Fighting: 1d12 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 5 Ace!: 1d12 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12 Damage: 1d10 + 1d8 + 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + (5) + (3) + 2 = 13
That's a 23 on the attack roll, with a damage of 13 points!
GM_ZenFox42 |
Ok, Storm Dragon.
BTW, Angel - you don't add any bonuses or penalties to the Ace roll, so 24 by my count.
Angel's mighty swing gets thru the guy's protection, but somehow he manages to dodge at the last moment, and the sword only just breaks his skin.
Soak & Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 61d6 ⇒ 1 = 6, Success (no need to roll the Ace)
