Tenebrynn's dex and con were both lower than they should have been, even before the mad poet's gift, thanks to my poor bookkeeping skillz, but they are corrected now and Tenebrynn suddenly has 20 more hp.

Some of you had some traits change slightly as you regained your memories:

Kyffin:

Enduring Stoicism: As you regain your memories, you are strangely unaffected by the deluge of past experiences while in service to Count Lowls. You recognize that your earlier actions were shameful, but there’s nothing that you can do about that now—it’s best to continue your fight against the unspeakable forces that plague you and your companions. You become immune to the shaken condition, but can still be frightened or panicked.

Tristain:

Twitchy: As you regain your memories, you feel an element of calm fill your body. You’re still anxious and a bit paranoid, but you have a better sense of how to focus this energy to work for you in future fights against your enemies. You gain the ability to make one additional attack of opportunity in a round. This ability stacks with other abilities, such as Combat Reflexes, that increase the number of attacks of opportunity you can make. This will be very useful for you. :)

Tenebrynn:

Foe of the Strange: As you regain your memories, you remember your time in Iris Hill assisting the mad Count Lowls, and recall experiences with creatures from beyond your world. You know that this understanding is what helps protect you from those horrors. Your trait bonus on saving throws against the extraordinary, spell-like, and supernatural abilities of aberrations increases by 1.

So a few notes:

First: We're done with book 3! Halfway through the AP, and to celebrate, you can all level up! 10th level!

Second: As you might have figured out from the in-game offer, Jasno's going to step away. I appreciate him joining us for the book, and our craziness, and hopefully he'll remember us better than you guys remember your own past! He agrees the character wasn't quite working out in terms of build, but didn't have time to make something else. With his work making it tough for him to post regularly too, we felt this was the best option.

Third: I'd like feedback on how you'd like to continue. I'm normally a fan of five people in PBP, but with this group, I'm wondering if folks would rather go on with four. I feel like you guys can do a lot of damage in combat and have most of your bases covered, plus play well together. I think four players definitely makes the AP feel like a LOT more of a challenge. As noted, I'm open to feedback. If we want to add a person, I will make offers to specific people (either someone I've played with previously, or willing to take suggestions).

We hit level 10 back in December. Are we 11 now?

As for player count, it seemed to me it was tough for Jasno to find a spot relationally in the group. The three having been whammied by Lowls together and the fourth changed into a doppelgänger early in Book 1 makes for an awfully tight inner circle. Much moreso than anything I’ve experienced in an AP before. My concern would be that another 5th would hit the same difficulty. And that’s not meant as a slight at Jasno, please don’t misunderstand. I’m just still surprised at how effective the AP has been structured in this regard.
To that end, if we would bring in another fifth, I’d rather they be a part of the group rather than merely being with the group. No idea how to set that up though.

Agreed re: bringing in groups. Moreso than many APs (even Reign of Winter), I think this one makes it hard to replace a character. That said, I think it should be easier now that you have your memories back and are not just on a boat.

Agreed that the AP dynamics made it tough to join in. I do wonder with the core group remembering more a newcomer might be able to fit in. Just a thought.

Tenebrynn would like to wind up with a +2 mithril shirt (5,100 gp).
Presuming that’s agreeable, and after the current split, that’d leave her with about 8,300 gp left over if anyone needs a spot.

And I’m super serious about spotting folks. Tenebrynn isn’t particularly gear dependent. Heck, I wouldn’t even be bothering with the armor if she could still fly. But I’m hoping to wade her into melee as often as not now. Seems silly to have the largest hp pool of the group and never be in a position to be taking any of the hits.

2 questions:

1) Is there a shopping/price limit for this town?
2) How many days are we staying? Might want to upgrade something, but need at least 12 days.

1. It's a metropolis and a major trade city, so effectively no limit with the money/goods you have available.

2. You don't know. You could make time to do that. You also probably need/want to find Miacknian Mun here, and don't know how quickly you'll be able to do that. You also know the Necronomicon is in Katheer, so if you plan to eventually go there, that could take some time you could perhaps use to craft.

Motteditor, I'm not completely sure what the next steps are. I thought we were headed to Katheer next to get a copy of the Necronomicon. But you mentioned doing something here in town before we left too, and that's the bit I'm unsure about.

Hi all -

I'm the new player that motteditor invited to join the game. I've only been serious about Pathfinder (1E) for about six years or so, since I starting playing on these forums, but I was a big fan of D&D 3.5 previously. Since most of my Pathfinder gaming has been via PbP on these boards, I'm new to higher-level play (though I did play in a 3.5 game that reached 12th-13th level). Feel free to tutor me when I do something foolish--I have a fairly thick skin.

I've gamed briefly with Euan before (I played the rogue Shaedeen in Mawgrim's short-lived RotR game), and I know Painlord's name from reading his guide to PbP gaming back when I started playing here. I look forward to gaming with John and Bombadil for the first time and hope my PC will fit in OK.

She's an inquisitor of the empyreal lord/lady the Black Butterfly, a natural enemy of the Dark Tapestry and its cultists. I probably should have gone with a cleric instead of a class I've never played before, but an inquisitor seemed more fun. Hope that decision doesn't come back to bite me in the butt.
