Hmm - I have some more questions for our merry crew

1) Was thinking of picking up Craft Magical Arms & Armour

Anyone interested in having their stuff enhanced or something similar? Were someone else planning on taking this feat? I feel that it fits Fhârn well - being a smith and all, but I could go for something with more in your face applications so to speak. And are we going to enjoy some downtime now (so that feat and my craft wondrous item will be of use : ) )?

2) If I were to pick up the feat in 1) I would like to craft one of the Celestial armours sooner or later.

Would the platemail version be allowed ? It is from Paizo - but from their earlier stuff. Would it be possible to craft a lesser version (eg - not +3 right away : ) )? Also - finally - is it possible to not have it so darn shiny? Perhaps dull steel instead of silver/gold/rainbows.

3) If 2) is agreeable, Fhârn would like to have the most of his share in gold so he can start saving/crafting ^^

4) Am I the only one worried about the Palatír we found ?

@ Fharn, I think you should absolutely take that crafting feat. They're great in Kingmaker, assuming things haven't been changed a lot.

@ Dareon: So I heard - but not much downtime so far ^^ Also - this makes us three with the Craft Wondrous Item now, just so you are aware : )

There aren't a ton of feats I really want to take right now. Extend Spell and Persistent Spell are the only metamagics I think are really that good but they're best on a buffer (which is what I am not).

Craft Wondrous allows me to make my own items instead of relying on others to make them for me. I get to basically pick what I want for half price, which is very desirable to me :)

Besides, I need an item creation feat for my planned progression later on and Wondrous Items are the most beneficial for me :)

Also - if we are using the Downtime rules, there are ways to shave off even more of the cost! If one is willing to spend some time preparing ... =)

Edit: Have you considered the Craft Wand feat? Sorry to annoy you like this, but the efficiency nerd inside me cringes at three of the same feats :P (I'll whip up whatever item you want - promise ^^)

Also - I seem to recall somekind of PrC or feat or something that requires two crafting feats - but I can't recall what. Do you mind sharing your plan =)?

You're right, I'll switch over to Craft Wand. Those are certainly useful to have :) And I'll give you spells and wands in exchange for wondrous items :D

In terms of my progression, this is my last wizard level. Next level, as I stated in my recruitment post, I'm going into Collegiate Arcanist. I'm taking Improved Familiar for a lyrakien azata at 7th level and Magical Aptitude at 9th level and then leaving the Collegiate Arcanist class, going into Arcane Savant after that for more spells that don't belong on my spell list.

Myself, I'll probably pick up an Mephit at 7 (Haha - my Familiar will be bigger then yours!^^) so we need to build a nice retirement home for our familiars. Munin could probably see himself being employed as a messenger or accountant. Or something. Hopefully Kertuffle will let him retain his smarts as an NPC after he leaves my service (else I'll have to safe for Awaken aswell^^)

Nice one, Dareon already thought you might go Arcane Savant, but saw you missed Magical Aptitude. Great to see somebody else taking it though.

Not sure which spells and Feat I'm going to take though, I can take a few more spells or Feats into Diplomacy and Bluff, but I think I need a few more offensive or control spells.

Anybody have ideas for me? Spell Focus Enchantment or Expanded Arcana seem like good options.

Hmm. Seeing you are a Half-Elf you should probably look into the Paragon Surge spell (If it is allowed. It is core - but really really really freakin good!)

Wow nice, but not yet for this level, Sorcerers don't get 3rd level spells yet at lvl 5. I'll keep this one in mind though.

The nicest part of it is that you get to pick a feat. Like Expanded Arcana ... ^^

I have trouble keeping my level updates correct on the alias's. Would you object to me filling out a sheet and using it? Here's one I did for a different game. It's easier to not miss things if I do it like this.

True that Fhárn, I only know one spell for certainty that Lanya is going to take on later levels and that's Flesh to Stone, but that's far off at the moment.
It's mainly for role-playing reasons that I want that one.

I'll think I'll stick with the Mind-affecting business for now, Spell Focus Enchantment, perhaps Spell Focus Illusion later on, we'll see.

For Lanya - I'm thinking Spell Focus (enchantment) would be excellent for you, and hideous laughter or the like enchantment spell seems like a good spell selection.

And yeah, Fharn, I do know that, but I do wanna be spending most of my money on making things. I can't imagine Dareon NOT having item creation feats and spending most of his time experimenting.

I thought you might be able to use it to show whoever is looking some illusions. A little misdirection goes a long way. So I'm told. Not sure if it's feasible though, we wouldn't know when they are looking through.

@Anastacia That ... if a really freakin good idea! Isn't there even a special spell for screwing with scrying ? Hmm ... Misdirection might work - or some illusion, or just mundane disguises.

But it is the suggestion that can be sent trough it that worries me the most

I think you're right about the power of your mount, yes. Paladins are ridiculous with their fully-powered animal companion. However, I think you're wrong about the number of tricks he has. As I remember, it's three tricks per point of intelligence, and he should have 6 INT plus bonus tricks.

I'm not really that happy with the fact that we don't get a vote. We've not been hired, we're risking our skin and using our own resources just as you, we don't get a larger share of the loot - I mean, we are peers in every respect. It's not even an IC difference between nobles and lowborn.

I'll have 5th-level stats up soon. Right now, just for Fharn and Dareon's benefit, I'll tell you that I will take alter self and invisibility as my new known spells. We really should start swapping spellbooks during downtime.

Also, I don't plan on taking Item Creation feats.

Ok, done with the level up. Besides numerical increases, to BA, HP, CL and saves, I raised Knowledge Arcana, Local, Nature, and also Perception, Spellcraft and Linguistics; learned Aklo, took Precise Shot (which will likely be my last archery feat) and learned the aforementioned spells.

@Spells - Well ... I didn't get any new spells :P But yeah, as soon as we have time we should probably swap around. And order some scrolls with new spells =) Fhârn is looking to do some research aswell.

I tend to agree with this. It would greatly aid if forming a unified front, if everyone felt that they were equally invested.

I feel like, even if IC we aren't included in some kind of "council" (which, at this point, we kind of should be) we should be allowed to be given equally-weighted opinions OOC.

As for say for leadership. I think this is a problem that will go away as soon as found your kingdom. Out of Character I certainly do expect every PC to offered some job in the kingdom, it is the one of the major distinguishing features of the adventure path. Once that happens then In Character your character will have a vote, being a peer of the realm. In Character your party's charter and the leadership thereof is very much at the whim of your sponsors in Restov. And (I think it was Dante) brought up a very relevant point. If they ever find out that Felix has been reincarnated as a kobold it very well could cause them to reconsider leadership for pretty much the reasons he listed.
Before people declare their support this time, let's assign kingdom positions. That just solves the problem in one swell foop.

Only interested in the Belt of Phys Might or the amulet of natural armor. For postions... Kinda goin for general as was apparent IC. otherwise any of the strength based ones.

Sanita's pretty much limited to INT based positions, otherwise she's kind of useless. That leaves...

Grand Diplomat - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Ok, now that that's out of my system, she'd be actually pretty good at it from a stats perspective. And her unorthodox methods would probably have the other diplomats so confused they wouldn't know what to think. :)

Magister - Actually she wouldn't be bad in this position, she's all for research and education, and she knows enough Arcana to know who to assign to what with regards to magical research and development.

Spymaster - She could make a decent spymaster, although Masa would probably be better. But she does have the kind of convoluted mind that would work well in this position.

Treasurer - She's not really of the right temperament to be a CPA. Not that she couldn't do the job, she's just not very well suited to it.

Because he has good scores in all of his mentals, Dareon could mechanically fill every leadership role except Royal Enforcer and Warden, however, I think the following go in priority order:

Magister - Dareon's the strongest arcane caster in the group, has a silly Know(Arcana) modifier for his level, and is a consummate researcher.

Councilor - Dareon's a very conciliatory man, and he is very careful of the possibilities of runaway monarchies, so he'd gladly play this role.

Grand Diplomat - Dareon's a trained diplomat and has got pretty good Charisma, and he doesn't have any weird personality traits that would prevent him from doing a decent job at this.

In regards to loot I would mainly be interest in the belt or an amulet. Gold would also be fine with me.

As far as positions go any strength based would be fine. I am more than fine with Dante going for the general.

Just include the link in your player tab so I can find it easily and I have no problem with it.

Grand Diplomat is probably the only logical choice for Lanya, she could be Consort or Leader of course, but somehow I guess she wouldn't have too much support for it.

Magister is a possibility as well, but like mentioned before, others would make better claims on that position.

Councillor would also be a reasonable choice, as she has tried to be an advisor for the ones aiming for leadership as well. Alas no Knowledge(Local) means someone who has it maxed would be better at that.

From a power gaming perspective, it is more beneficial for a Ruler to marry and add both stats to the Ruler bonus vs having a consort.

I'm interested in this next round of voting, I'd like to see who has support. We should be founding the kingdom soon hopefully.

Show of hands, who is actively wanting ruler. I am not taking my hat out of the ring by the way, Either I will be a symbol of the new kingdom and marry soot scale, or I am going to need a wife with polymorph other... maybe a true dragon. Maybe someone can make me a magic item to resume human form for a bit every now and then.

Or a wish. That would put you back to human.

You should be able to easily find Sanita's character sheet at any time (just see her post here). Hint : Look at where it says 'Human' and see it's now blue. :) Linkified!
