Ok, so I finally got around to adding the additional 480gp from Felix's group's return to my loot. That brought my total cash on hand to 1141gp 6sp after buying my new banded mail and holy text. I'd like to go ahead and try to buy a masterwork cold iron falchion and a masterwork composite longbow(+3). Those two total 450 and 700 respectively. Selling my falchion and longbow for 37.5 gp each makes up what the initial 1141gp 6sp doesn't cover. I end up with 67 gp 6 sp after all these transactions.
Do you want me to RP this conversation with Oleg, Kertuffle? Will he have a problem with putting in orders on 'credit' for a (small) portion of the order? I can put some money down if he likes (1000 gp).
Note: Multiple edits for grammar, misspellings, etc... I misspelled misspellings... (twice).

Lanya Beladon Medvyed |

I'd like to have that wand of Magic Missile, though I should learn the Gnomish word for Annihilate to do so. Anyone speak Gnomish?
Bracers of Armour seems good as well, but I'd reckon one of our frontliners could use it as well.
Adding 1020 gp to my inventory, however I might be interested in a wand of Mage armor or a reduced wand of Explosive Runes as well.

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Unless I'm mistaken, we've gotten 1160 gp each. The first payout for 680 gp was for all of Viktor's group's loot and Felix's group up to the end of the mites. There was then an additional payout of 480 gp for the remainder of Felix's group's loot from the kobold fight (and presumably returning Svetlana's ring). Then there has been some claimable loot in addition. I think Kertuffle has the latest list of such in this thread's gameplay section.

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Awesome. I'll go ahead and put in an order for the items I mentioned:
masterwork cold iron falchion
masterwork composite longbow(+3 STR)
I'll put down the 1k gold as a deposit if Oleg will take it (and so I don't have to worry about hauling it around). :)

Kertuffle |

At the beginning of next month (gametime) I'll ask everyone to spend some money for lifestyle. If you want to spend an extra 5gp (1gp/week approx) you can have a servant that can do all that. If you want someone that you will be training to be a knight, that is probably served better by the Leadership feat, although there is no reason that your servant can't suddenly be upgraded. Generally the higher station you want your servant to be the more his monthly cost will be.

Kertuffle |

It looks like we will have 4 new players. I have invited them to join. Two Eldritch Knights, a Scroll Master and a mysterious figure in black wearing oriental type armor and weapons. I really would like to start the exploration/adventuring phase again, so I am going to give everyone tomorrow and most of Sunday to get acclimated. By Sunday night I'd like to have some idea as to what the makeup of the new groups will be although I know this being a weekend that may be optimistic. In the meantime brag away. Only a few people have told me who they support so the leadership is still pretty much up in the air, although it is definitely Felix and Lanya dividing the groups right now.

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

I figure once we finish the storytime there will be some talk about who's replacing Viktor. I'd like to have a chance to see what my options are before casting a vote, generally speaking. :)

Dareon Lebeda |

Hey all! This is Dareon, your friendly neighborhood scholar and diviner wizard, reporting in.
Looking forward to catching up with what's happening.
Any one of the current players feeling generous and looking to give me a run-down of your party's situation?

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Hey and welcome to the game. Friendly neighborhood paladin here. We started by fighting some bandits demanding tribute from Oleg (master of the trading post). After soundly thrashing them, we split into two groups for exploration/bandit extermination. We're recounting our respective stories in the most recent page of gameplay so I'll let you take a look at that for details. We lost a few people over the course of the excursions and that's where you enter the picture. After we finish our storytime, we'll be debating who's going to replace our old leader. That works by lively debate followed by secret PMs to Kertuffle or open declarations of support.

Fhârn |

Hello! I am Fhârn - and I have been given the honour to join your merry crew. Like Dareon I would appreciate a quick rundown of the situation. Have have looked into your gameplay threads a little and are looking forward to contribute!
Fhârn is decent at mixing up in close combat and prefers to fight armoured and armed to the teeth - better safe then sorry. For now his spell selection is relegated to out of combat utility and spells lacking somatic components. He has a small selection of crafting skills and enjoy working with steel, both at the anvil and in the field, swinging his blade. Other skills of note are semi-decent knowledge skills as well as both linguistics and appraise.
As for myself, my timezone is GMT+1. I usually check my pbps in the morning as well as the evening and afternoon depending on workload and computer access. I will head over to the gameplay thread to see if I can't type something up before heading of to bed.
Nice meeting you all!
edit:I should also note that I have not played Kingmaker before and I am unfamiliar with the Kingdom building rules so bear with me. I will try to read up on them as quick as I can however

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Hello to you too Fhârn! As it stands, we're recounting stories of the aforementioned expeditions in a cluster (presumably around a fire with drinks/food in hand) in the outpost.

Dareon Lebeda |

By the by, expect me to get pretty detailed with the portions of the kingdom that I may be granted dominion over.
I have a question, though - when we actually start the kingdom, am I allowed to make up NPCs? Even if I don't take Leadership (which I am planning to do at 9th - after I take Improved Familiar)?

I hate to spam posts, but I actually has relevant question.
Does Fharn actually have an Eldritch Knight level? Because I don't know if you know that you can't legally have an Eldritch Knight level right now. The requirements include the ability to cast third-level spells, and your character does not have that ability as a Ftr1/Wiz1.
If you don't have an Eldritch Knight level, what's your third level?

Fhârn |

As Felix kindly pointed out, PrCs can be entered earlier then by purely waiting for the natural spellcasting level to mature enough : )
Also - Hi !

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Typing up Viktor/Lanya's groups tale here shortly. Long day at work, so I'm grabbing a bite to eat (and some wine) first.

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

@Fharn/Dareon: Sorry for Wilhelm wanting to keep things secret, hopefully we can pull you back in quickly (given our ooc discussions, we can). IC he doesn't feel like he has the authority to disclose the news without the agreement of the rest of the group.

Fhârn |

I fully understand the situation. New PC:s is always hard to introduce, especially since you really would have no in game reason to trust us. That's why I had Fhârn offer his service before leaving. Maybe the easiest way would to be have Fhârn be recruited for the next expedition and only join in the kingdom building proper after he has earned their trust. Out of game I could join the discussion ahead of that if you let me, but in game Fhârn could still be quite far away from any position of power : )

Fhârn |

@Kertuffle Would you let me use the Familiar Archetypes for Munin from the Animal Companion (by Paizo)? Specifically the Valet one - it replaces Alertness (for Fhârn) with Cooperate Crafting for the familiar as well as the power to cast prestidigitation. Mostly that would help me craft mundane items faster as well as giving Munin some more ways to interact with the rest of the world =)
The details can be found here

Dareon Lebeda |

OOC advice for the next adventuring session:
Split up into three groups. One group of five-six, one group of three, and another group of three-four.
The largest group travels right down near the Stag Lord's fortifications, sets up camp, and does some reconnaissance-gathering. We're not looking to invade and kill everyone just yet, but information on their numbers and equipment could save lives.
The two smaller groups finish exploring, going in different directions.
We all meet back up at Oleg's in an IG week or two to share what we've found and then ride forth to crush the Stag Lord.
If Dareon is informed of the Stag Lord and the rest of the scenario, he'll have similar advice. He'd like to go in the exploring group.

Vors Garess |

Would it be possible and reasonable to order a master worked cold iron great sword? My main concern is how to justify the cold iron, I am afraid I am mixing ooc knowledge in example the fays later on with what my character could reasonably know.

Fhârn |

His name certainly is - nice catch!
Since I am rather bad at coming up with decent names I sometimes steal them from fitting sources :)

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Hrm. I hadn't thought about that angle Vors. I suppose for Wilhelm, knowing that it's effective against demons and certain evil outsiders amongst other things would be incentive enough. I'm not sure what else there would be. I honestly just pick one up because one of the first things I like to do is get a masterwork alchemical silver bludgeoning weapon and a masterwork cold iron weapon. :)

Masamura Yoshirou |

Well met everyone.
For the Cold Iron justification. A Character could reasonably know about its effectiveness as Wilhelm points out. Besides given its nature and rarity it could also be a mark of pride to own one.

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Ok, more walls of text are up. Also... politics! Intrigue! Fun!

Bej Vanskian |

Hello all, I'm the last one of the newcomers, I think. Very excited to be on board.
Bej's personality wouldn't let him to intrude on your political discussion (and so far, he has no desire of being in charge of anything). He will approach your group with small talk between adventurers - would this be enough for your group to throw me a line and hook me into the group, or should I come up with something more?

Kertuffle |

@Dearon
If appropriate you can write up NPC's. For instance if Dante gets a squire I'll probably just ask to write him up along with some guidelines. Generally I will introduce the NPC's, although you are always welcome to suggest and some action will certainly introduce them. Looking for someone who can make clay pots will introduce a potter.
@Fharn
The valet option for familiars is Paizo material so I will allow it.
@Vors
I have no problem with you ordering a masterwork Cold Iron Great Sword.

Kertuffle |

I'm now caught up on the gameplay thread and I have to say I'm pleased, deeply pleased. Kudos to everyone. But I apologize for having too much happen at once. The debate over leadership and people introducing new characters, the two threads are a little disconcerting and I bear full responsibility for that. But just bear with it. I am totally digging the arguments.

Fhârn |

Nice!
Saw the Hobbit II yesterday with some friends - and I liked it too. Had another friend see it this friday and she said it was kindof slow. While I agree with that I quite enjoyed the scenery and beautiful nature so I didn't mind

Kertuffle |

I've totaled up the support and Felix comes out ahead of Wilhelm. Wilhelm actually has the lead on popular vote, but Felix has much more support from the patrons back in Restov. So congratulations, Felix! Before we start the next exploration adventuring phase, I'm going to let the discussions continue out at Oleg's. They are too good to rush. There are still several things to decide as well as integrating the new players.
1) Announce the gold find or wait till later. Announce it now and there will be a gold rush and we will start the kingdom building at the beginning of the next game month.
2) How many exploration groups and what will be their makeup.
3) Once the groups are decided, I need a general idea of what where they will be trying to explore in either game or roleplaying terms. For instance Group A will explore the 3 hexes east of Olegs then drop down one hex and explore their way back to Olegs. Or Group B will search the Forest for Tatzlywyrms.

Sanita Malvanna Or'Fana Kalnath |

Sanita pops in, waves, and then goes in character.

Dareon Lebeda |

I've got nothing to say IC, but I'd like to put up a few things.
1.) If informed about the gold, Dareon would advise waiting until safety can be assured to announce the gold deposits.
2.) I've lost count of the number of players, but if there are 12 or fewer, two groups seems best. Dareon, for his part, would like to travel with Anastacia and/or Wilhelm. They intrigue him. He would also not like to travel with Yoshirou.
3.) He'd like to go looking for that Erastil temple with the bear, which means delving into the forest.

Sanita Malvanna Or'Fana Kalnath |

Last one in, last one chosen. :)
Sanita doesn't know anyone, and hasn't had any conversations, so is likely to fall in with any group. She's fairly easy to get along with, as long as you don't get on her bad side. :)

Sanita Malvanna Or'Fana Kalnath |

Possible Groups...
6/7
5/4/4

Dareon Lebeda |

Felix/Dante/Masamura/Bej (divine/martial/skilled/arcane)
Anastacia/Fharn/Rowan/Lanya (divine/arcane/martial/arcane)
Wilhelm/Vors/Dantalion/Sanita/Dareon (martial/martial/martial/skilled/arcane)
Each group has one of the leadership candidates, a high-CHA, some magic and some martial power.
I dunno. A suggestion.

Sanita Malvanna Or'Fana Kalnath |

Obviously short of healing.
Sanita can brew healing potions, but they require reagents and such. Honestly if there is going to be a group with no real healing, it should probably be the larger group, but it should get a two arcanes, to help make up for lack of divine magic...

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

So congratulations, Felix!
Congrats, Felix! My only question is how this will be communicated to us in character. I don't think we can get to the other stuff until this is squared away.

Wilhelm Orlovsky |

Also, a roll to see if I know who my non-obvious supporters are. :)
