Gosh...that's just sad. But maybe he doesn't have to be dead? What if Terra's mom was just messed up over him being gone all the time? What if she hated the fact that he choose his army over her and instead just saddled her with, in her own mind anyways, a mewling brat of a daughter who she constantly took her anger and frustration out on.

I was just thinking since Terra had already been through soo much, that she would really need her Daddy once he got back. Sometimes people don't need real reasons to be mean or crazy...some people just are. Maybe she felt Terra ruined whatever chances she thought she would have to travel and see the world and was instead cast into this tiny town away from what she felt she deserved out of life.

You can stick with the whole her taking her own life thing, but I wouldn't be so quick to count out your dad.

Just wanted to give ya another possible way to go with it if you wanted to. :o)

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

I don't know...it's up to you. I just hate to see someone like Terra have to go through so much though. Not to sound cliche, but it just doesn't seem fair. *sad face*

Vallterra wrote:

ok here is what I was thinking

Terra's dad was killed in battle, and when her mother recieved word, she (for whatever reason) took it out on Terra.

after the incident in town, she went into deeper depression until she took her life about a year after that.

This made Terra the heir to the estate, but could not claim it until she was old enough.

My thoughts: Daddy is reported dead, and Mommy takes her anger out on her daughter because Terra is wanting to be a warrior just like him and she can't bear to see her taken away from her as well. She may have gone about it the wrong way, but that's how she felt.

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

Just know that whatever you decide, that Terra's friends will be right beside her...no matter what.

Ugh...so much to do....need to create more hours in the day or something or do some time warping, or something. Sheesh.

Male Trapper/Guide 7 HP: 69/69; AC: 18, T: 13, FF: 15; Fort: +8, Ref: +9, Will: +5; Init: +5, Perception +17

Let's do the Time Warp again!

On a different note, Flynt is pretty much done.

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

Argh...I'm so behind. Darn cakes....and life in general.

Male Trapper/Guide 7 HP: 69/69; AC: 18, T: 13, FF: 15; Fort: +8, Ref: +9, Will: +5; Init: +5, Perception +17

Don't blame the cakes. As a baker's son Flynt takes offense. If it's character related I can help.

Female Human (1/2 Minkai) Rogue 7 (Knifemaster)

I'm not done yet either, just had some free time at work last night.

@Gashka the pic you have now works fine, especially given the limited options.

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

Nah, it's okay. I'm just a horrible procrastinator. I had to take a shower, and then wait for my hair to dry so I could put it up, make up the cake batter and put in in the pans.....ect ect ect. Now I look like the Shaggy Dog.

Female Human (1/2 Minkai) Rogue 7 (Knifemaster)

Lol

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

@Anyka Okay then, I'll just keep what I got and edit the stuff in the profile part as soon as I figure out what that is. So...we lose the minuses we got to our stats as kids right? So...if I was going straight brawler, it would be 4 levels of Brawler right? Sorry...lots of questions I know.

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

I think I'm really tempted to hack it all off....seriously

HP 70/70 Panache=5 Swashbuckler 7 Init +6 AC/FF/T 21/15/16 | F+6 R+12 W+3 | Perc +8 +scent

Tikkle is almost done! I have a few more things to finalize, like inventory and whatnot.

There's very little chance I can find a better pic for a grey and black Catfolk lol

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

NO way....I think his pic is just fine. Okay...focus...I must learn to focus. I get distracted WAYYYY too easily. LOL

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

*groans* Now I have to take the spoiled brat princess puppy out looking like this cuz she's trying to crawl up my legs now. LOL OH well, not like I care what other people think about me anyways.

@ Gashka - Yes you lose the penalties to Str, Con, and Wis. However, you also lose the Dex bonus. And yes you'll also start as a level 4 Brawler.

@ Everyone - Level 4 is also where you start gain the Story Feat bonus.

Story Feat (Nemesis)

1st Benefit: Having a nemesis drives you to excel in training. For each new level you gain in a favored class, including the level you gained when you chose this feat, you can choose two benefits instead of one. One of these benefits must be either a bonus hit point or a bonus skill point, even if other options are available.

F Human

Ok I have been mulling things over and I really appreciate the help, stories seem so much more interesting when we all work together.

I am waiting for the DM to finish his review from my PM before I level up.

as far as Terra goes,

She will live with Anyka for a while and Terra's mother keeps trying to get her back.

she shows the notice that Terra's father is missing and presumed dead.

a few years go by and Terra's father shows back up. he learns what has been going on and sends his "wife" away for good. putting Terra first and wanting to get her back home.

during the time he tries to get Terra home he develops a relationship with Anyka's mother (a widow right?).

Anyka, we can be sisters now...

I like it.

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

*claps hands enthusiastically* Ohhh goody goody...I LOVE IT!!!!

lvl 4, F 5+, R 5+, W 5+, AC 23_ T 14_ FF 19, Per 11+, HP 48/48

Here are a few of Pharnox's marketing phrases as he sells goods in the market...

The gods made man and the grenade made man equal!

Never rely upon a cleric again! We have plague curatives, bloodblock, troll septic and many other potent medicines!

Is your longbow just not good enough anymore? Are you fearful that it cannot pierce the armor of your foes? If so then ditch it, get a gun which can pierce the finest of plate armors!

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

Wow...kinda reminds me of something...like those salesman you see on tv really late at night. You know the ones....they always have the catchy phrases and stuff. The most memorable one for me growin up was Cal Worthington though. He was a car sales guy...long time ago, and always had some kinda animal or something with him and would say like, come on down and see Cal and his dog spot, and it would be like a tiger or something. Then at the end of the commercial it would say his catch phrase really fast, go see Cal go see Cal go see Cal.....for the longest time I thought they were saying pussy cow pussy cow pussy cow. I couldn't figure out how that helped sell cars, but Henry explained it to me one day and I couldn't stop laughing. Damn my messed up ears, LOL.

lvl 4, F 5+, R 5+, W 5+, AC 23_ T 14_ FF 19, Per 11+, HP 48/48

now of course another interesting thing pops up concerning the Drow, what will the reaction be (worldwide) as tales of strange, wondrous weapons of the Drow are told across taverns by awe struck sailors...

Male Trapper/Guide 7 HP: 69/69; AC: 18, T: 13, FF: 15; Fort: +8, Ref: +9, Will: +5; Init: +5, Perception +17

I can't even imagine what the Drow version of Billy Mayes would be.

Anyka - Rogue (Knifemaster)

Flynt - Ranger (Archetype?)

Pharnox - Alchemist

Gashka - Brawler

Terra - Element Master

Jin - Rogue/Wizard (Always loved the sound of that combo.)

Tikkle - Swashbuckler

Alright then, I think this can work. Pharnox can take care of healing, and Jin can take care of other magic.

lvl 4, F 5+, R 5+, W 5+, AC 23_ T 14_ FF 19, Per 11+, HP 48/48

so long as he has enough down time (and everyone remembers to order potions from him for base price) Pharnox can take care of healing and can create quite a few other goodies...

Like potions of invisibility, barkskin, levitate, spider climb etc...

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

NO no no....better yet, the guy in the beginning of Aladdin. The one at the market booth selling all sorts of stuff? It slices, it dices, makes julian fries. Will not break, will not break, oops it broke. LOL I could totally see Pharnox out there selling stuff like that, "Madam can I show you something quickly?"

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

Hmmmm an invisible brawling half orc....eh, who knows. I'm thinkin just about anything can happen at this point.

"Look at, yes this here. Combination Hookah and Coffee maker. Also makes Julian Fries. It will not break, it will not...it broke. Oooh look at this, I have never seen one of these intact before. This is the famous Dead Sea Tupperware, listen. *rasberry* Ahh, still good."

Yeah...that was what I was thinking of. Sorry I don't have your seemingly infinite memory for movie quotes. LOL I knew it went something like that though...do I get points for being close? LOL

do we equip with 4th level equipment?

you probably answered it already

BTW in case you guys are wondering Element master is the pathfinder conversion of Earth Bender

You have 6k.

Female Human (1/2 Minkai) Rogue 7 (Knifemaster)

Works for me!

@ Jin - So it's basically a Magus, only using Rogue instead of Fighter to mesh with. I don't see a problem with it. Go for it.

Awesome. Jin should be done by tonight then.

I can retrain my TWF feat right? I never did use it anyway.

HP: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 6) = 11

Female Human (1/2 Minkai) Rogue 7 (Knifemaster)

Will definitely be picking up TWF at next opportunity, right now needed Quickdraw first

I can't bond with a weapon so I need a free hand to cast otherwise I might've kept it.

Hi SIS!

BTW, the injuries Terra suffered never did heal, and her eyesight only got worse.

5 years after the events with the piper, Terra was completely blind.

Anyka insisted in helping her, leading her around, doing things for her, but Terra was stubborn, she refused to be treated that way.

True to her word all those years before Terra learned to fight, she learned how to adapt to her blindness. so much so some didn't believe she really was blind.

no matter how much people tried it was like nobody was able to sneak up on her, no matter how quiet.

It seemed that since the encounter with the piper, Terra's bond with the earth grew. and she learned to communicate with the earth, even controlling it to an extent.

@ Everyone - Go ahead and retrain feats as needed.

Tikkle's Theme Song

Female Human (1/2 Minkai) Rogue 7 (Knifemaster)

Funny you mentioned Assassin's Creed

Actually, that was you.

Female Human (1/2 Minkai) Rogue 7 (Knifemaster)

I know, but the song is from Assasin's Creed, that';s what I meant. The more I develop Anyka the more,..... assassiny she looks.

I've had a funny idea for how Pharnox conducts his "business"...

RV, 15th century edition:

Oh, alright I admit it isn't really an RV but rather a mobile workshop... It is basically a heavy cart and a combined alchemist's lab, when stationary the cart has many numerous "pop-outs" which make it easier to store alchemical components and items... Pharnox typically makes all his items on site as it were, he generally stays in the same village for about ten days in which he is working a manic schedule to keep up with demand for his supplies... This is due to the fact that Pharnox generally only comes to each village once a year (he works the villages as a circuit), this allows each village to have enough gold to make Pharnox's visit worthwhile and it hypes up demand for his product...

So GM Pharnox's RV would be about 300 gp?

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

Sorry sorry....I meant to go wake up henry....but I made the mistake of crawling into the bed with him to do it and somehow ended up falling asleep myself. Awake again now.

Female Human (1/2 Minkai) Rogue 7 (Knifemaster)

Very cute

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

I went to check on him cuz he was asleep before 2 this afternoon and he said he didn't want to sleep all day....but, oh well. Then he accuses me of putting a sleep spell on him. I did no such thing....he was just tired and I knew he hadn't been feeling good, so I kept busy and didn't bother him. His sleepiness is what made me fall asleep next to him. Now since the cake is aptly cooled, I shall go ice and decorate it. Cross your fingers and wish me luck!
