Vironus Antilles |
Vi walks back around the front to notify Ulrik.
Well, unless any of us can magically shrink ourselves, there's no getting in through an open window. The only one that's open is a porthole around the back, and I can barely fit my arm through it...
Vironus Antilles |
I still have faith that will work for us. It seems unconventional, but hey, let's not break tradition!
Vi smirks.
River Calah |
Sorry about the lack of posting, just not known what to, had the same problem on my other games too.
I quietly follow Ulrik and Vironus into the building, making sure that both Rogar and Marcus are close at hand. I try to be ready for anything, without looking suspicious.
Rogar the Beardless |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Okay, back now. Sorry about the wait. When you first enter into a long-term relationship, Pathfinder kinda takes a backseat.
What are those two doing? Rogar cautiously follows River into the house.
River Calah |
I look around the emtpy room and then turn my attention to Ulrik and Vironus, "So ... what did you find?"
Vironus Antilles |
A small open window in the building we just stepped away from.....and in this one? Nothing....
Vironus seems to be in deep thought as he speaks to you, River.
Nothing in this building, and nothing in the other? Something's up.
River Calah |
"If you found nothing, why would you not tell us this outside?"
Vironus Antilles |
Why bother? If I found something, then it would be of worth mentioning, and I told you a second ago. Look around and tell me, what do you see? Nothing. Nothing at all. This is why we're here, to see if something happens.
Vi shrugs, then sits down and looks over to Ulrik.
Got a long wait ahead of us, huh?
IejirIsk |
You sit and wait as time marches on. You hear the sounds of the dock-workers trying to earn their silver, and as it begins to get dark, it quiets down.
Suddenly footsteps can be heard outside, walking up to the door. As it opens, you see Bast Gimore walk inside for a moment, and as the door shuts, he gives a brief glance your way, and vanishes.
Vironus Antilles |
Did this place not have rooms? I was under the impression we were hiding out back...but if it didn't, then....
Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Everyone, back up against the wall and group around the girl.
Ready action to attack with one of my two blades, as soon as something becomes visible.
Ulrik Snow |
Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Ulrik was in the middle of polishing his blade so when he stands and readies for combat it is in hand partially polished."He is right form up a defensive line."
Ulrik will fall into a defensive formation and will ready an attack should a target present itself as a threat.
Rogar the Beardless |
Still confused as to Ulrik and Vi's interest in this building, Rogar is slow to react. When Bast vanishes, his face hardens, and he draws his axe as he steps in front of River protectively.
Ready action to attack if a hostile presents itself.
Vironus Antilles |
So, with actions taken here's what we're doing:
Rogar ooo Ulrik
Vironus o
Vironus Antilles |
Pretty sure we're all holding our actions until something becomes visible. We're all pretty much a target right now, even River because ideally we should move to a corner to make it impossible to attack her.
River Calah |
Seeing the man enter the building and then vanish I jump back, obviously surprised and try to hide. Then I hear Vironus give commands, which include protecting me and I feel a little safer, when Rogar stands in front of me I feel at ease enough to help out, I pull out a small handful of fine sand and begin chanting a incantation, "Lirill ndu llie dol, nurt llie elee ent lav lisse' seere nae teshuel llie."
Casting Sleep, full round action. I will throw the sand at the man when he reappears or if the door opens on its own. Other than that I shall continue to chant, even after the 1 round.
River Calah |
I continue to wait, looking around nervously and listening for any noises.
Perception : 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Marcus Cramont |
Taking his time to analyze the situation, Marcus readies shield and sword, adopting a defensive stance.
Take a free action to use Combat Expertise for a +1 dodge bonus to AC.
How's the light condition of the room?
"Listen. We do not want to engage in unnecessary struggles. Come out and tell us what do you want, so we can put our weapons down. We don't mean any harm to you, but if you attack us... we're answering in full force!"
Diplomacy check:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Edit: Wonderful diplomacy check. Lads, roll initiative!
Initiative:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
River Calah |
Initiative : 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Vironus Antilles |
Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 10 All we wish to know is what's going on around here. If you speak with us now, nobody needs to get hurt.
Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Rogar the Beardless |
Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
River Calah |
Vironus Antilles |
Hearing a load of nonsense, Vi questions the conversation going on behind him.
He can probably understand the language you speak in you know. I'm guessing all higher up's to do with this curse are fairly intelligent.
Vironus Antilles |
Maybe I can provoke him into attacking me, revealing his position.
So, you're not even man enough to show yourself?
Vi bursts out laughing.
River Calah |
How big is this room?
River Calah |
Ah, never mind then.
I wince at the bright light that has just been conjured and take a couple of seconds to get used to the brightness. "Perhaps we should look outside, or even move back to the other building for the time being? If our guest has left somehow, he could be bringing back more people who are unwilling to listen."
Marcus Cramont |
Making sure he doesn't miss some detail that reveals the presence of an individual in the room
Perception check:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Marcus then gives a sigh of relief.
"Well, it seems that whoever entered this room is no longer here. In any case, it could also mean that the intruder... (take a look at the group) well, the other intruder make use of some kind of secret door or passage.
Rogar, I think you said that you were a builder before. Can you tell us if you see some irregular architecture that could possibly be a hidden escape route?"
River Calah |
I look at Marcus a little confused, "Other intruder? Who is the first intruder then? Did I miss or forget something?"
Vironus Antilles |
Vi smirks at Marcus' comment.
Ha, if I can't use stealth or even fit into a window, there's little point to that. Besides, I think Ulrik is the loudest guy here. He loved announcing our attack on Cindi.
Vironus Antilles |
I was going to do this yesterday, but here we go.
Look after the girl. I'm going to have a look outside to see if anything's happening.
Vironus heads towards the front door, opening it slightly and peeking through, before heading out himself.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
River Calah |
Still holding my spell and ever ready to cast it on any threatening foes, I watch Vironus leave the building and wait anxiously to see if the area is safe now.
What are we supposed to do here? I am lost and stuck.
Vironus Antilles |
Vi just leaves and watches on as people go into their houses, puzzled by the oddness of this port town.
Vironus Antilles |
Dumbfounded, Vi walks back to the party.
Well, it seems we've hit a wall here. I say we check out Castle Sengir. See what that brings!
Vironus Antilles |
Seems like a good idea, unless we all want to be murdered in our sleep. I don't like this town, nor the uncertainty surrounding it.
