As the title says, is there any cost to putting your weapon away?

Yeah, you'd need to use an Interact action for that.

Yes, that would be an Interact Action to "Draw, stow, or pick up an item" or otherwise change how you're holding or carrying an object, a one Action activity.
Table 6-2
From Table 6-2 (CRB, p.273) it is an Interact Action to "[d]raw, stow, or pick up an item." I think sheathing a weapon would be a form of stowing a weapon.

Only poor people dress themselves or stab someone else with the same thing more than once, and it's a free action to drop your weapon before you move on to the next new fashionable thing.
Damn, thanks for the responses I thought it cost an action was hoping for a way around it.
Was thinking of a tengu monk build that did the anime swordsman trope of dash->sword slash->sheath sword. Which I guess can still be done, just uses another action.

You also want to keep in mind that drawing a weapon provokes opportunity attacks (as does stowing it again, though a second provocation is generally academic): Not everyone gets reactions anymore, but they can be extremely painful when they do pop up...
