Vironus Antilles |

As soon as Ulrik finishes his breakfast, Vi signals to get going and heads outside.

Vironus Antilles |

Just waiting on Rogar and Desnold to post I think. Must be busy or something. I hope this isn't the end, as things have slowed right up. :(

Vironus Antilles |

Yea, I'm posting also to let you guys know I'm still in. I could suggest that in game due to Desnold and Rogar taking so long, the three of us - Yourself, Lou and Vi, head to Sumak's to get things rolling again, but if we venture too far out as just the three of us, I may get us killed so it's up to you guys. :)

Vironus Antilles |

Okay man, let's do it! :)
Seeing Ulrik come out first, then Lou following shortly after, Vironus waits with the two for 10 minutes before growing impatient, at which point he pushes the Tavern door open.
We need to get a move on, so those of us ready are heading to Sumak's. If you intend to join us we'll meet you there.
Vi looks to Ulrik and Lou, opening his mouth to speak once more.
Let us find Sumak!

Vironus Antilles |

Walking in, Vironus speaks with uncertainty.
Sumak? We have been called here from Sandpoint to seemingly aid this Town and we were instructed to speak with you before heading off to the Villa. My name is Vironus, and travelling with me are Ulrik and Lou. What news do you have that could help our situation?
Then just meet us at Sumak's, or head to where you feel we'll most likely cross paths with you, Desnold. :)

Rogar the Beardless |

Sorry, guys, Spring Break just started where I'm at, and the last few days have been crazy. Sometimes working at a school's a real drag.
Once everyone's ready to go, Rogar heads out with them. He stays close to the back with his hood up. As they enter Sumak's shop, he nods a greeting to River and Marcus.
@River/Marcus: "Ulrik had a bit too much last night, so we're just heading off. Learn anything interesting yet?"

Marcus Cramont |

"Not yet, wise one. But we are in a good path."
Marcus then examines the map, and after looking it for a while, he hand it over to Sumak.
"We are very grateful for your help, Sumak. As you said, there is more of us, and they are going to explore the Villa, therefore, it's better if they keep this map while exploring the town's outskirts. I'm sure we will be coming here in no time."
When Sumak got the map, Marcus then looks to River:

As Vironus and everyone walks in, I step out of their way. I listen to Marcus and nod, I look at the map one last time and hand it back to Marcus. I give a quick glance to Rogar and then wink at Marcus, making sure no-one else can see.
Once outside with Marcus I look up at him,
Intelligence Check : 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 (To remember the map as much as possible.)

Lou Kasuri |

Desnold makes a short stop at a clothing shop to buy something warm and then goes to catch the rest.
I'm with you on this part, lets get some warm clothing.
Lou checks the shop for warm furs that are simple yet functional

Marcus Cramont |

Seeming that Vironus & Co. has entered the shop, after a quick greeting, Marcus proceeds to leave the shop. Before that, he tells them:
"Now we're leaving. Sumak has some provisions and a useful map of the surroundings for you. Good luck in your travel and may the gods allow a future meeting."
After that, provided that River is following him, He'll head to the temple.

Vironus Antilles |

As Marcus leaves, Vi speaks to him. Today will bring us glory, not the stopping of beating hearts. I'll see you on our return!

IejirIsk |

Sumak looks around to the entering group, and hands out furs to them that do not have.
The halfling's eyes are overcoated in grey as the rather short man hobbles about once the door is shut. "Welcome to my shop. As you can see I have been told of your arrival by Yangrit. How can I assist you?"
You walk through the town trying to locate the cleric. You come to a rather large temple paying homage to many gods. Urtar is meditating in the foyer. As you enter he stands up looking at you, expectantly.

Vironus Antilles |

Vi notices that Sumak is blind, but doesn't comment out of respect.
We were told you may be able to give us a little insight into what may have caused this issue you seem to be having, and a few of us were hoping you could shed light on what may await us inside the Coastal Villa. We intend to travel there next.

IejirIsk |

Sumak thinks a moment. "I was out adventuring, and got snowed in. I finally was able to come out, and the sun was too bright, and I injured my eyes."
"Ahh, Desnal. A rather squat little place that sends me my supplies every week or so. Rumour has it, the triumvirate has their petty squabbles. They seem to have some issue. But what can you expect from Hunams and dwarves. Triumvir Cindi seems to be the only one that has any sense, but she is a single voice."

Vironus Antilles |

I am sorry but I did not mean your sight when I referred to the trouble you're having around here. I didn't want to draw attention to that, for fear of feelings hurt and respect to you.
Vi pauses and feels awkward.
You misinterpret my wording. Please take this. I am sorry.
Vironus places 10 gold coins in poor Sumak's hands.
Is Sumak Halfling or Dwarven?
Gratitude for the helpful advice. Where would we find Cindi upon our arrival at the Villa and are there dangers on the way?

IejirIsk |

I have not travelled to Desnal in some time, but last I knew it was fairly safe to travel, other than the obvious dangers, the cold and occasional hungry beast.
Triumvir Cindi, if not trying to patch the council up, will probably be at the docks, supervising. Much too short to do much about the actual carting, still likes to watch some of the carters."
Sumak is a halfling

Vironus Antilles |

What does Triumvir look like? Still, we only need to ask around no doubt, so thanks for the help. Is there anything else you wanted to discuss, or will that be all?
Vi waits for a response.

IejirIsk |

Sumak looks at Vi in some surprise. "The town of Desnal is controlled by a triumvirate. The three triumvir are Cindi, a human trying to claim as much gold as he can see, and a dwarf that seems to care nothing of business."
"Though I do have a matter that could be solved by you, assuming you are with those others that left. There is tell of a magic item in the forest that should be worth a fortune. "
Urtar bows in your direction. "As the mountain, I am the priest in this town. Some septs, their own cleric have."

Vironus Antilles |

IejirIsk |

Sumak nods to Vi and Ulrik. "I have trouble moving around during the day, so going after it myself would be difficult. As for meeting tonight after the villa, it would be possible, I suppose. More likely, that you would gather tommorrow, instead. The treasure is rumoured to be in the depths of the forest, hidden from plain sight. Supposedly kept by a group of witches, in return for some favor." Sumak chuckles to himself a moment. "I doubt that witches gathering would easily lose something, for the rumours to have begun, but that's how it happens sometimes. I would guess, more like, is some story told to children that has just grown. Either way, it would make a good selling piece, I think."

Vironus Antilles |

Do you have any advice you can give us if we choose to pursue the rumour? If there's any truth to the tale, surely there's talk detailing weaknesses within their watch, possibly consisting of helpful ways to defeat such malevolent opponents?

IejirIsk |

"Well, I sincerely doubt that the group of witches are even still around after this time. However, most witches i've seen come through here have paid homage to the cold, and are like many other casters of their ilk. Dangerous if you let them prepare, devious, and surrounded easily. Imagine she might have a couple other lackey's with them, and then any other forest creatures."
Sumak shrugs. "As to if they are violent? Most witches are not likely to attack you physically, I guess. This is a fairly dangerous clime, and so who knows what kind of danger would exist around here."

Vironus Antilles |

Turning to the group, Vironus asks Are we all still up for going to the Villa first? As good as the forest sounds for valuable goods, we've already said to River and Marcus that we'll meet up with them again at the Tavern tonight, and seeing as we don't know what awaits us in the forest or how long it'll take to get there, I feel we should stick to the plan.
Continuing...
We head to the Villa and find out what we can, then head back to the Tavern and regroup for a trip to the Forest tomorrow.
