As for crossbows, if everyone is okay with that, we can play them off as "martial" crossbows are working same way as bows, alternatively, I found these in 3.5.
Page 659; Self-loading Crossbow, 12,350gp.
+1 heavy crossbow whose string is pulled back by itself, making reloading a move action. Combined with Rapid Reload, it's a free action and allows making all attacks.Page 809; Quick-Loading, +2 bonus.
An extradimensional space holds up to 100 bolts, making reloading hand or light crossbows as a free action, or a heavy crossbow as move action. Can hold multiple types of bolts and these can be selected freely when reloading.

This sort of reminds me of a really broken crossbow character in 3.5. He was using a double crossbow if I recall, and enchanted it with Splitting and Explosive, so each turn he'd fire off two bolts, that split into four midflight and each had a 1d6, 10ft burst explosion.
It was basically a dwarf with a rocket launcher.

Checking up on the sheets one last time, upon closer inspection, Gulch Gunner seems really cool, and the combination of the 1st deed and deed recovery makes him pretty snazzy in close quarters.
Dovanik, is there any questions, comments or requests you've got before the game?
Rhiannon, you still with us? :D

Dovanik Whiptail |

Mmm, that's why I picked him in the first place. I was originally going to just use the standard pistolero archetype, then I saw this one and found it to be more dynamic (not to mention a fun risk/reward system).
And with the Point blank Master/False Opening feats I can now choose when I want to provoke an AoO too.
Also, did the captain drop out of the game? I can't seem to find his character anymore.

Rhiannon Mableanbh |

Finished shopping yesterday, Rhiannon is now fully equipped with all manner of marginally useful b$+$!~&$. Loaded up on pretty standard adventuring gear, and while the coffin might look a little odd of a choice, it's because Greenwood needs to be in soil and water once a week and it was the first thing I saw that would be easy to fill with dirt, keep in a bag of holding, and could actually fit the bow.

@ Corvo
I am sorely tempted to use that splitting/explosive combo eventually. Exit Wound also looks like a promising ability.
-----
Oh, and I found an interesting weapon ability for the party bards to look at while leafing through the 3.5 Item Bible.
Harmonizing:
This enchantment can only be placed on melee weapons.
A harmonizing weapon accompanies its wielder in song if
drawn, granting a +6 enhancement bonus on Perform
checks that involve singing.
Beginning on the second round of singing, the
harmonizing weapon begins to sing alongside the wielder.
If the wielder stops singing at any time after the second
round, the weapon continues singing for a number of
rounds equal to the wielder’s Charisma bonus or until
sheathed.
This extended singing is equivalent in effect to the wielder
continuing to sing.
For example, a bard with a 16 Charisma could start singing
for 1 round to inspire courage in his allies.
In the second round, his harmonizing weapon would join
in.
If the bard stopped singing in the third round, the
harmonizing weapon would sing for up to 3 additional
rounds, continuing to inspire courage in the bard’s allies.
If the bard restarted his song any time before the end of the
6th round, the harmonizing weapon would continue to
sing with him, uninterrupted.
(Restarting the song in this manner does not count as
another use of bardic music).
If you start using another form of bardic music while your
harmonizing weapon is maintaining a song, the weapon
stops maintaining the first song and begins aiding the
second.
Faint illusion; CL 5th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, ghost
sound; Price +1 bonus.

Appreciate the find, but it's not all that great, all things considered. The extending effect can be replicated by Lingering Performance at a flat two rounds, but that's really all you'd need at high levels. Plus, the only Pathfinder performance that actually has a check and thus comes in handy would be Countersong (since it's restricted to singing checks, rulling out its visual equivalent Distract), which is so situational most players will never actually use it. Not the worst thing to take, but there's much better options out there for a weapon ability.

Maddox Torrian |

If it's all the same to everyone else I'm good with the idea of a martial crossbow using longbow stats since I'm mostly looking for the aesthetics. I'm not really focusing on ranged at all so the less feats the better, but I still want to have a viable option. Trying to think of how it'd work, I'm currently picturing it as a pulley assisted lever draw (maybe a pump action) but will try and think of something that combines the loading action with the draw (like a bow is) without making it magazine fed.
I lucked out and got called in for OT today, so I should be able to wrap everything up.

Corvo Spiritwind |

@Dovanik
I'll whip him into posting today, it's another aasimar, a barbarian oracle that's going to be our main source of healing (oh the humanity!).
You don't have to make any lengthy background for my sake no, I realize these never really come up unless we tailor the story for a specific character or it's something told over the firecamp, so you can just wing it when it comes up, or write something now so you're ready.
I'm trying to help Maddox and Evo on finishing their characters, since they sort of came late to the party, it's still not done, but I'll be starting the game when they are nearing close, as for the first section you guys don't really need to have all combat stuff finished, it'll be more social and investigation kind of thing.

Storyteller Heathcliff |

All right, Story is up and the game should be ready to go. I'm gonna try doing my best to make it fun and not too weird, I'll be altering the Rise of the Runelords story to make it more viable at our level and a few parts will have a more eatern vibe to it, though it's not a major thing. The main feature will be that instead of Goblins, I'll be using Sprites, which in effect are the same, but aesthetically different. Things like Oni, Kami and Kappa will be making their appearance, but so will ogres and all the other typical misfits.
First part will be mostly involving sprites while second will have plenty of undeads.

Dovanik Whiptail |

Good to have you on board, Evo. Don't worry about the whipping, those are just how he shows his love.
(Also, I noticed a minor typo in your character sheet. Your sheet and abilities are saying Oracle, while your title says Sorcerer.)

Corvo Spiritwind |

TEN LASHINGS FOR THE TYPO!!
Also, been a while since I gm'd pbp, so I really appriciate tips and opinions, like if you want a little more details, or this or that.
Since my char is dmpc, I'm gonna make a list of the stuff i winged/houseruled, as with you guys and you can help me mske sure I'm not making my character broken or such. Work long enough on a char and one might become a lil biased.
So far, my sheet is up, I only have items left I believe.

Dovanik Whiptail |

Well at least it wasn't 3 hours in the dungeon...
Got rid of the Land Spirit for a ranger/shadowdancer combo, I see. I think there might have been some overlap there with the ranger archetypes though, woodland stride to more exact between the urban ranger and freebooter. It'd actually work otherwise. I'd just pick one stride though and not worry about it too much.
(Hehe, you forgot to put ranger in your title as well.)

Corvo Spiritwind |

That's probably totally right, I never really played ranger, so I must have missed that. I'll do as you said and just pick one, it's sort of a minor feature, never really liked favored enemy and terrain myself, so these worked out better for me.
See anything else I might have missed?
The land thing was more fitting for a different type of game, and I always was curious about shadowdancer anyway, with all these feats I got to try the whirlwind attack chain too! (used Flyby attack in place of spring attack as these two are basically the same.)

Dovanik Whiptail |

Everything looks fine mechanically, although I would have recommended a class that could better take advantage of your stealth, like a rogue.
Aside from that, there's only a minor duplication typo under your racial traits.
(Man, I wish that this site had that teletype format like on Rpol. Character sheets look so ugly without proper spacing.)
Edit: Your base Reflex save would actually be: +7. Remember to take the best growth path (in this case ranger + s.dancer) for each save.

Corvo Spiritwind |

Yeah, I'm a fan of rpol myself, the ability to have a couple of threads for things like homebrew questions is very nice. I also thought about rogue, but I much rather prefer having full bab and all those features, especially Skill Sage skirmisher trick than say, 2d6 sneak attack and a few rogue talents that work with it(I got the best one for me from shadowdancer, Fast Stealth).
