A goblin that can resist playing with fire? If Scrabbler climbs the tower, I guess someone else is helping with the smokestick then?

sorry it took so long, weekends are lil busy lately. Also, I think while the tower shield provides me total cover against most attacks from the angle its facing, Ivan can still make attacks? Seems to be the best thought, as otherwise it would be even more "useless". Up to you though, or someone else who understands tower shields better?

It doesn't make sense from a real world perspective, but as the feat reads, only you gain total cover, not the one coming at you, so you get an AoO.

I guess you could think of it as I'm behind the shield, but I poke out just a bit to swing, or swing around it maybe? and cool.
Kitsune Game Master
You just have to forget about real life combat. Putting a shield down, so it acts as a wall on one side would completely disable you. You don't swing a weapon with your arm. You swing it with your whole body. You can't do that with your arm tied to a wall.
I just need to remind me sometimes of the fact that we are playing a FANTASY roleplaying game, to read the rules as written and not ruin your fun with real life stuff, that gets no say in this game. ;)
How you imagine fighting that orc over or around the shield is up to you.
Kitsune Game Master
@Scrabbler
Sorry for the lack of detail.
Scrabbler goes 10 feet down the ladder, outside, and 20 feet up the tower. The dwarven metal pile goes up 10 feet of ladder. That is quite some advantage.
Besides that, I assumed, that you all want to start the assault on the orcs when all are up, and Scrabbler is waiting hidden behind the battlements.
I know, assumption is the mother of all f%~~ ups. You wanted to act before the others?

If someone wanted the spot where Bupkis is currently positioned, he could alternately stand in front of the barricade, beside the logs to the top of the map. Any orcs that wanted to attack him would have to pass in front of the logs.
Kitsune Game Master
Info: If you want to roll the logs at the orcs they have to be cut loose on both sides, which is according to the AP a full round action.
And outside the gates are more orcs. This is no single fight vs. those six and then over. So make wise use of these "area attack weapons".
The boulder can also be rolled down.

It's two piles of logs, each bound at both ends.
The boulder can be rolled down as a move action at any angle.
I have no clue when that stuff is used best.
Sharpened Stakes: The easternmost barricade is equipped
with sharpened and splintered wooden fences that Omast
salvaged from the wreckage of nearby homes. A PC can
ready an action to impale an incoming attacker on the fence
posts as though readying a brace weapon against a charge.
If readied in this way, the fence posts deal 2d8 points of
damage to an orc that ends its movement on the barricade
in a square threatened by the PC.

How difficult is it to move across the barricades?
Edit: Also, how high are the barricades? Can a goblin shoot over them?
Kitsune Game Master
To cross a barricade is takes two squares of movement, to pass the one square barricade.
I don't know how high they are, but there are no limitations given for small characters. The barricade provides cover though. As long as you're closer to it than your opponent.
Kitsune Game Master
Are you all in position? You could also ready actions vs. the orcs, especially if you use ranged weapons.

War Mind (minor): At 1st level, you can touch an ally and grant it a tactical advantage for 1 minute. At the start of its turn each round, it can select one of the following bonuses: +10 feet to base land speed, +1 dodge bonus to AC, +1 insight bonus on attack rolls, or a +1 luck bonus on saving throws. Each bonus selected lasts for 1 round.

Kitsune Game Master
I see you didn't check the explanations, how the logs work.
But I'd suggest to not waste the logs for two orcs. Once you have 10 there, you could try again, according the users manual how to operate the weapons of mass destruction.
I updated the map, so you see that this pouring only brought you the six orcs so far.

Can you have more than one up at a time? The war blessing is touch range. Neither the ability or the war blessing mentions any restrictions on having multiple ones up, so I assume it's like a regular buff spell and we can.
Re retconniong, I'll leave that up to Foxy. It was certainly Daseem's intent but events may have overtaken things.
