I think I'll go Aasimar Life Oracle so I can use FC to heighten channeling. Could combine it with warlord or swashbuckler or maybe even both with the other side. There is a trait from path of war expanded that raises your initiator level by +2 up to a maximum of your character level. Would that be ok? Can we even multiclass? Probably going to pick up Selective channeling and quick channeling and maybe even alignment channel against evil outsiders since I think that's mostly what we will be fighting in the game.

Hi JasonX, you're right... Allyo is a healer/melee, going for Hierophant. As I told the previous GM, I'm considering going for the Evangelist prestige class because I think it fits him too well. I am going to close submissions for any new apps. I am going to do what I started to do with Carrion Crown and run simultaneous tables (much easier than running 2-3 separate campaigns). All of you were put through a lot of hype and I feel it would just add cruelty to deny any a chance at playing. So, if anyone has definite player companion choices let me know. You can PM me if you wish to not offend anyone. The good news is that in RL I am finally in a very stable position and won't have the major disruption like before. I also have no gaming group where I'm at now so this will be my sole game going on for now.

Jason, this is really cool of you, and we appreciate it, but are you sure you can handle the workload? I for one would rather see one group succeed than a good guy like you burn out.


Well the dip would mostly be for mechnical reasons, but the classes do do fit together very well thematically. I was thinking to pick up between 1 and 4(not sure how many yet) levels of swashbuckler then go into warlord for the rest. That could easily be justified thematicallly by the character starting out as a short of brash dude/girl doing a lot of things because they are fun or cool then gradually s/he do more to help out/lead others. I am fine either way though so I'll let you decide(either start out as Swashbuckler and evolve into warlord or warlord all the way). Thanks for letting me in.

I must admit I haven't looked much at the mythic paths. Does hierophant have much/anything that deals with channeling?

I'll probably pick Desna as the diety due to freedom channel, though oracle's doesn't usually require one.

I do have an actual mechnical question. I want both dual cursed and spirit guide. However they both modify class skills, so that normally wouldn't be possible. Will you allow picking both (obviously getting no extra due to dual cursed)?


Jason, would you allow the Trap Finder trait?

Normally it is only for mummy's mask games, but I was thinking that it would be apropriate and interesting for Kel, and give him a more useful party niche. (Eventually he will have evasion too, so it is even thematically rogueish)

Edit: I think I'll just give him the Seeker archetype instead. I'll adjust his sheet soon. Please consider him to be a trap springer as of now.


@ Sahisysha... You will find a lot of GMs on here running two or three campaigns at the same time. What I'm proposing is even simpler. It went really well with the Carrion Crown game because I just kept files of all the maps and box text and was able to paste them where appropriate. Really, the only thing that was unique was dialogue to players. I will say that the slower tables (just can't get away from calling them that) had the disadvantage of me learning from my mistakes with the fastest table :)

What's your opinion on the Traveler's any tool by the way? I'd like to pair my gear list as much as possible, for instance, would it be capable of replacing something like the collapsible plank?


@ Oyzar, yes I agree with the thematic compatibility of Warlord and Swashbuckler. As to Hierophant look at the ability "Abundant Healing", Great with channel because it lets you take all the extra healing that goes beyond the recipient's max hp and give it to one person next to you. So, in a fight where your main tank has taken tons of damage, but everyone else is only lightly or not wounded, you do one channel and all the extra hp goes to the tank.
As to archetypes, only legal combos, sorry.

@Kel, no, trap finder is a campaign trait so it can't be taken as you already have a campaign trait.

With Thuvius dropping and assuming both Korina and Oyzar make characters, that gives us 15 players. So, three tables of 5. I'm setting it at that. I will have most of the remaining characters done tonight. Those that have been PMed already, are mostly set. I just need to hear from Kothar about the corrections I sent him. Please PM me with preferences. Once I finish all character audits, I will set up the tables.

Okay, just so you know where I'm at - I'm busy making a Human Sorcerer (Empyreal/Wordcaster) / Warpriest (Sacred Fist). Primary emphasis is on sorcerer casting/summoning for general party support, with the added ability to punch things in the face when necessary. XD From Warpriest, she can also bless weapons to help overcome the defenses of demons - might be useful, that.


Aaaaaand... how big of an emphasis do you plan to put on things like food? Should I be looking at various supplies, or not worry about the small stuff?


depends on what you plan to have with you. Are you newly arrived in the city or have you been there a while? As to rations, I will be taking into account food if you have to travel any distance or be away from civilization. Otherwise when in or near towns and such I will assume minutiae is handled.


So I saw the Purifier Oracle Archtype. Obviously Sacred Scourge wouldn't benefit from the level increase that the FC grants to the Channel relevation, but could you use the Hierophant channel abilities and other feats or abilities that boost channeling to affect it? For example contingent channeling or Quick Channeling? It just says it works like Alignment Channel which normally modify Channel Energy. It's hard to chose archtype, several are quite nice.

I hope you'll be able to split people up so there are no duplicate campaign traits among the groups. For Hierophant it says that if there are multiple with the trait in a group then they should have the same deity if possible.

"Looks like it's your lucky day."

Efin is a Warpriest of Desna, the Goddess of Luck, but she's always been just a little... odd. It's hard to deny that she's been an effective warrior in Kenabres, though, given the way that fortune often seems to tilt to favor her.

Efin was born in the heart of Mendev - and even from an early age, she seemed abnormally drawn to her faith, often sneaking out of lessons to go hang out at the local church of Desna and pester the priests with questions. She started formal training as soon as possible, and it was probably for the best that Desna was a chaotic deity - Efin often found it hard to sit still for too long, and behaved flippantly even on the most serious matters. The priests often despaired about her attitude... but it wasn't long before Efin began to receive magic from Desna, and she spent a lot of time practicing physical combat in the yard to prepare for the day when she'd finally be able to join the crusades.

What Efin HADN'T talked to the priests about was her celestial ancestry. Though not closely-related enough to be born as an Aasimar, Efin's family was descended from empyreal forces, and this gifted her with enough power to cast several types of arcane magic through the power of celestial speech alone. While she often used these powers for pranks - little bolts of fire could be used for all sorts of things - she was also the kind of girl who studied very hard in secret in order to keep up her facade. Her Decipher spell was particularly valuable to her, allowing her to decode documents in practically any language.

When she was finally grown enough to leave, she did so without looking back - Desna's faithful understood the value of travel and were rarely content to stick around in the same place forever. Joining a local caravan, Efin made her way to Kenabres, intending to use her diverse talents to help the crusaders in any way she could.

No, that's fine, it's ok if there are duplicated traits, I will split them up as best as possible. I think oyzar is going to take Touched also, so that will be 5 touched players.

Ok, everyone is separated into their groups, only a couple of duplicated Touched by Divinity trait, all other traits singular per group. The team names were based solely on the Paladin in each group. That does not mean they are the de facto leader, it just fits thematically for me and is easier for me to recognize.

Once again, anyone with Hero Lab portfolios send the .por file. It makes auditing much easier for me. I got one from Sabrina and Kaval so far.


Yeah, I am also taking touched, that's why I asked about it. Hopefully things match up so people can at least have the same deity in the same group, though with 5 players that might be unlikely. It's a bit of a shame every group don't get to play out as many paths as possible, but I am sure we'll be fine. How many archmages are there? Would her switching solve anything?

I don't have hero lab unfortunately.

If touched by divinty is the only duplicate maybe I should have made something other than a healer, oh well. I don't want to change now. Hopefully I'll be able to finish the character today.

I was going to leave it as something of a surprise as each player did their first RP posts in gameplay threads. After everyone is settled, if all are interested, I will post the team rosters.

I realize this is a holiday weekend, so I will wait until Monday for all check ins. However, if a team gets all of their check ins before that, I will start them.


Another thing that makes me optimistic is that I received no PMs requesting to NOT be teamed with any particular other player. Very refreshing.

I politely bowed out. Original GM was ok with the unfettered eidelon taking up half the gestalt, you weren't. *shrug* I never understand people who think taking half a class is somehow more powerful that doing a human summoner/rogue with the eidelon and spell casting would be. But I don't argue about it.

In any event, I'm not GM DLH, so no reason to punish him because you don't like Shi.

Jason, I had posted as Shinari awhile ago, but it seems I was looked over or missed when the lists were made.

Sorry I didn't post earlier, but the last few days for me have been rather crazy tween working at a major grocery store before July 4th and then the holiday stuff itself. I'm just now catching up on all my games. I would be really bummed if that cost me a slot.

Shinari only needs to swap out the Godling, likely for Paladin or Warpriest. I was honestly going to wait till I was actually accepted before swapping the classes, so this way if I wasn't I could keep him as is, and hope to get into a similar game.

I had originally applied to this and was guaranteed a spot via talking privately with the GM, who shares a mutual friend. He convinced the original GM to take me.

However I declined, cuz GM That Guy was going to run his own gestalt Wrath, and I figured I would hop in that game, to let people have spots in this one. He had no problem accepting me as well, however he never got around to starting his recruitment. And apparently has semi disappeared off the boards, I think.

I believe this my 6th or so attempt to get into a Wrath game. Kinda sucks that you auto accepted everybody and I didn't know till I posted, cuz I could have tried to update Shinari.
