Dayo |

Dayo's face lights up with the warmest and brightest of smiles.
"You're so brave. So brave."
Grunting under the weight of carrying someone equally his size, Dayo gingerly sets down Justin.
"Oof. You're getting so big! Must be that oxtail soup your father always..." but he bites his lip before finishing. "These nice men are going to help us. Can you stay real close to mommy? Don't leave my side, and everything will be alright. Do you understand?"

Eoghan Miskos |

Eoghan keeps quiet, not trusting any of this. He stands back, weapon not quite stowed away, but obviously nonthreatening.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
"So.. You're willing to join us? Can you fight? Do magic? We're exploring this run-down house, there's supposedly" he whispers, so "Lorey" won't hear "a murderer here somewhere."

" I promise to stay close. Day...erm... "mommy". Th..erm.. "Daddy" took the other kids down to the basement and put them in a cage to play dragon and the princess. I didn't like that game so I left. "

Dayo steps up to his discarded sword, making sure Justin is nearby the entire time. He picks it up, spins it a couple times with as much skill as you've ever seen from him, and sheathes it at his side.
"Never underestimate the power of a determined mother. Now. The basement is this way."
I guess feel free to move me to wherever the "entrance" is ^_^

Mom is probably open to suggestions. Especially from 'Lorey';)
Has a player CHARACTER ever been able to strangle a DM? I mean.. no jury in the world would convict them but its metaphysically impossible right?
"Hey uhm..mommy, isn't one of the best hide and seek spots in.. uhm... that room? Under the..uhm. Thing. They might be in there. "
Try to steer hi..he..them to the room to the south.
"Lorey" will then hide under the table and let mom check it out

Updated the map
This library features two chairs, one of which lies on its side, before a stone fireplace. A scarf, its reds and golds contrasting with the drab palette of the room, is draped over the side of the fallen chair. A book sits facedown on the floor between the chairs. A stone bookend, carved to look like a praying angel with butterfly wings, lies on its side in the fireplace itself.

"oOOo books... " and wriggles his ears a bit, sending the tiara bobbing up and down. Justin would not be happy to know how hard it is to tell if he's "in character" or not at that exclamation...
Justin will bite the bait and pick up the book to see what book it is/ page it was open to.

Tyding the room, Dayo finds that a splash of dried blood stains the back of the northernmost chair, and an examination of the bookend reveals more blood, clots of hair, and bits of skull and flesh—in addition, part of one wing has been broken off.
Healing checks can be done
Justin turns over the book. Its a book on Varisian history. Its open on a page detailing the Sandpoint Devil.

Now that Snowflake is lifelinked to the entire party, has has been withdrawn and walked very very carefully behind the party. The blood draws his attention, so he studies it. However he's doing the same to Dayo
Heal check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21 on the blood
Heal check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 on Dayo
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 on Dayo

Eoghan Miskos |

Eoghan squeezes into the room to take a look at the blood splatters as well.
Heal check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
GM Woran wrote:Ive marked the stairs on the map. If you want to explore this floor first you can of courseI think with the workaround we used to the possession "mom" isn't going to give us that kind of time
edit: time to shrink Eoghan back down to normal?
Yeah, 6 minutes have passed by now, I think, right? Opening the door, talking, examining, talking to mind-controlled Dayo...

GM Woran |

Snowflake carefully examins the blood on the bookend.
It looks like it was used to bash in someones skull. Judging by the way the blood is crumbling, it is as least a few months old. The blood, skin, hair and a piece of bone indicate that this did not end well for whomever got brained by the bookend.

"IT'S A HAUNT! EVERYONE GET OUT NOW!"
Vitro's not going in there. He doesn't really have anything that works against haunts.

Eoghan Miskos |

Eoghan looks around, and decides that slashing at the scarf probably won't do much. He listens to Vitro and decides evacuating the room is probably a good idea. He squeezes past everyone and probably knocking over half of the furniture in the rush to get out.
Double-move out of the room.
Also, I rolled another 1 on the perception. That's it. Next feat, Skill Focus Perception. Stupid game hates me.
Woran, you also seem to be using my old Perception score, it went up to 12 this level. >_>

Eoghan Miskos |

Good point. Ignore my last post.
Eoghan moves closer towards Snowflake and tries to remove the cloth from around his neck.
What should I roll? Grapple against the scarf? Due to me be being buffed by Justin, I'm running a an awesome CMB by now. +9 normally (5 BAB, 4 STR), +5 from Strength increase, +1 size modifier makes +15.
Grapple vs scarf: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30

Eoghan Miskos |

Sunder is also a CMB check. It would provoke, by the way. If there's anything that would be able to do something.
I went for the grapple, because sundering something so close to someone's neck seems like a recipe for disaster.

Eoghan Miskos |

Oh yeah, forgot Sunder deals damage. Without Power Attack, as I didn't specify:
Sunder damage (+1 bastard sword): 2d8 + 14 ⇒ (3, 6) + 14 = 23
Math: Normally I have 18 Strength, Justin gives me +10 (Bull's Strength +6, Enlarge Person +4), that's a modifier of +9. Times one and a half is 13. +1 for magical, for a total of 14.

''Vitro'' Wizjietroczenon |

"I don't think this normally works on haunts, but this one seems to be rather personish.." Vitro tries to fire Magic Missiles into Aldern (2) and the scarf (1).
Aldern: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (2, 2) + 2 = 6
Scarf: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

GM Woran |

Sorry, I fell into the PF2 hole and it slurped my attention
The positive energy from Dayo makes the apparation waver for a moment. Stepping in, Eoghan precision slices the scarf right at the point where 'Aldern' is holding it tight around Snowflake's throat.
With a shriek the apparation disintegrates and the pieces of the scarf fall to the floor.
Those of you who are sensetive to it sense some lingering malevolence. The haunt has gone dormant, but has not been destroyed.

Eoghan Miskos |

Visibly disturbed by the whole situation, Eoghan scans the door for possible traps, then opens it if he finds none.
[b]"Er, sure miss Kasandra..."
