@Vetch- Computers check or Engineering to understand what the machine does.
Abe finds the console completely written in Kishaleen and difficult to understand.
Vetch looks around the room and notices a strange flat, triangular crystal rests among the offerings on the shrine.
Vetch No-Toes
Vetch lets others handle the computers, he points out the data pad.
”This funky language sure is funky. I don’t understand a lick of it.”
Dash Arcbright
A sniff of disdain comes from the air nearby as invisible Dash expresses his irritation. "Someone needs to educate these f&%#ing barbarians and teach them a real language."
He's also irritated with himself for neglecting the basic magic to comprehend idiots.
GM: assuming Abe sorts this out, would this life sciences check fall under Dash's bio-engineering specialty? Because that would be super useful to benefit from at least once in his life.

Abe shrugs and fires up the Comprehend Languages again. ”That’s my last one today, but it’ll last over an hour at least. Let’s see what I can figure out.”
He reads the words aloud, so everyone can hear them, and rolls in support of Dash’s Life Sciences check.
Life Science: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 (vs DC 10 to aid Dash)
Looks like you're on your own!
He then examines the crystal (Auto-success) and says, "Huh, it's a storage crystal. Just gotta find where to plug it in, and we might learn something."
He looks for a port to access the data. If nothing avails itself, can he build something out of his kit to connect it to his rig?

”Barbarians.” Dash scoffs. ”The Kish That live here now are genetic throwbacks. This chamber is a finely tuned machine that requires matching DNA. With a few samples I can easily program it to function as intended.”
Is there a separate computers check to fix the machine?

Draka starts recording on her com. "Hello Draka fans. Draka here." The vesk rapidly blinks her top eyelids, but her reptilian body lacks any eyelashes. "Draka and Draka friends find planet with ancient bug men. Planet probably escape notice of vesk so it never conquered. Probably." Draka shrugs her large shoulders. "Draka not think it destination wedding location, but planet have potential. Draka and Draka friends greeted by big fight on arrival." Draka presses a few buttons on her device and a video of the combat replays. Then, she switches the feed back to herself and pans the camera over to Dash, "robot fix old tech. Draka not understand but it important." The vesk smiles a toothy grin and wiggles her clawed fingers at the com, "Draka out!"
Draka fidgets with her device a while longer, before looking up to see what progress has been made.

Yes, you would need a separate computers check to align the console.
Looking over the system Dash knows that he would need a sample of Kish to align the chamber to the correct parameters. As of right now the medical software that runs the capsule can’t fully parse the differences between kish and kishalee physiology (and it certainly doesn’t easily adapt to completely alien biology).
It seems that what the Kish believe to be ancient spirits judging them worthy of healing is little more than advanced technology that has long been forgotten.
If the capsule is working correctly, the creature inside regains 5d8+10 Hit Points and is affected as if by a remove affliction spell (CL 10th) at the end of the hour.
Abe plays around with the strange triangular device but can find no such ports to be able to attach it to any known rigs. Though luckily his knowledge of electronics and computers helps a bit. Accessing the device requires touching the crystal in a number of specific places. Much of the data is corrupted beyond repair, with the exception of a single voice message in Kishaleen.
The voice in the message is deep and gravelly. “Greetings. This is…” There is a loud burst of static. “…head of security at the Foundry. We recently had a few pieces of classified…” There is another burst of static. “…and we are investigating the possible compromise of all methods of entry and exit in our facility. As far as I can tell, the series XLT-88 digital lock on our security entrance hasn’t been tampered with, but the manual I have here states that the lock can be placed in standby mode and accessed with an admin keycode. Of course…“ Static again. “…but the director and I would like to know how many of your employees have access to this keycode. We are not accusing you of any misdoings, but we do need to leave no stone unturned. Please respond at your earliest convenience.”

Draka records several more messages for the fanbase, though this far outside the Pact Worlds in unknown territory it will likely take several days for a one way transmission to transmit.
The Zane
Remove affliction? As in getting the negative level back?
So, if The Zane is getting this right, The brains of Team Blood and Fury can fix this machine to actually heal Kish instead of leaving it to random chance - like it was doing. Spitting out healthy Kish or MutAnimals.
Wowzers. The kids at the playground as going to be singing praises to you guys if you can make that happen.
Intelligence: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18
He continues, and that recording, the Security Chief tells us that there's nasty security measures at The Foundry... which must be the Temple Found. Team Blood and Fury can even bypass the security door if it finds remnants of the Access code.
Shit! This is easy! The Zane's gonna find us that access code. Because The Universe wants Zane to find the code and win the day.
He pauses, gives a scrunched up face.
So, it's a forgone conclusion that The Zane is gonna get all this glory -and probably blow shit up- and have tons of fans cheering.
There's only one problem--The Zane doesn't know what is in the Temple Found? Anyone else know what the "end zone" is?
Vetch No-Toes
Vetch takes in the message and then *The* Zane’s interpretations. He would have more faith in *The* Zane’s commentary if he hadn’t been the one stuck with removing the needles from the man’s ass a few minutes ago. He rolls his ratty eyes.
”Yeah, Zane, just try to keep an eye out for trouble, won’t you?” Vetch smiles uneasily, not looking forward to the next time he needs to sew Zane’s spleen back in.
”Let’s get this thing going, huh?”

"Yeah, all we need is some clean DNA and these guys'll be set for life. Until it breaks down again anyway. In the meantime we need to find the Temple. Maybe the kish know where it is. Let's ask 'em while we get some throat swabs or hair or something. What do we need Dash?"
Abe is impressed by the technology and wonders, "I wonder if we could duplicate this thing on our ship, wouldn't that be great. Can you imagine having this in our sickbay?"

You are able to get samples from the rebuilt you killed earlier if you wish though would still need a Computers check. Then if you wish to heal Zane you would need a sample and computers check for humans. Same for Vesk for Drak and whatever race.
Vetch No-Toes
Vetch waits to see which of the non-rat humanoids are going to offer samples to make the machine go. He's not sure what he can contribute, but will do so.
Draka Durotan
The provocative joke is entertaining to the vesk, but lacks the vesk humor usually underlined by violence. Draka stands around, wondering how the ship wizard plans on getting fresh DNA. Perhaps they'd have Draka remove some spines. "Hur hur hur," the vesk laughs to herself.
Draka can carry the samples from the earlier kills if needed.

Zane takes in what Dash is saying, and thinks about it... once...twice... even a third time.
It's not until he recalls some childvidfeed tabloid situation over a decade ago, does he snap back to his senses.
Yeah, yeah.. Dash is going all Pee-Wee Reubens
His big debate is internal. He has the DNA to turn this thing into the greatest machine in the galaxy. Capable of replicating the Ultimate Zane. Well, Zane wants to be an "only one of a kind" Zane. Like he knows that he already is.
He then thinks that ABE is a fellow human, and maybe ABE can be the one to give a tissue or DNA sample. Yeah, the machine can't improve normal humans into Super Zane's if they have ABE's DNA vs. his own.
But, then he thinks about how The Zane is the one that has to go into that thing to recoup from the Vampire's touch.
That last thought does it. Zane just can't have mediocre human tissues when he's getting fixed. It might mess with the whole cosmos! (Zing at ABE!)
Ai't. This machine can use Zane's DNA to get it working.
Zane pulls out hairs from his head and hands them to ABE and Dash.
GM Tyranius

With samples from the defeated Kish Dash is able to take a bit of time with ABE's help to perform a diagnostics check on this alien hardware. It seems to work, aligning itself to Kish physiology just fine.
Next The Zane steps in with a few hairs pulled from his head and hands it to the duo. Placing it on the diagnostics tray Dash sets to work, similar to as he did with the Kish. Everything seems to go fine, from what he can tell. Though really what does he know, this is ancient alien technology after all.
If everything works as Abe and Dash believe it should this should make Zane feel 100% better, curing his negative aspects. Though it is hard to tell without a test.
Vetch No-Toes
Vetch looks at *The* Zane, wondering how Zane fares.
"Zane, did that work? Maybe you want to flex for us? Or do some pushups for the crowds at home?" Vetch looks at Draka and encourages her to get her camera ready.
The Zane
As soon as his hairs are out of his head, he's making his way to the machine to get back to 100%
Hopefully, Dash and ABE can get it working the right way.... otherwise....
When all is done, Zane hears Vetch say something that makes perfect sense. He should test his mettle and ability by doing push ups! What a great idea! Zane drops and does a hundred.
Oh guys, I have an amazing personal(AKA Real life) "push-ups story". I'll try and post it on discussions board in a day or two.

The Zane boldly goes into the alien chamber as Abe and Draka begin to record the experiment. The digital recordings timers set off at Absalam Standard Time (AST)
With final calibrations set the lights on the antique flicker as circuits (realigned) begin to heat up from years of misuse. The capsule door clicks locked as a thick smoke of chemicals begins to fill the chamber as the last you see of The Zane is a smile and a giant thumbs up as he fist pumps the air.
Random: 1d100 ⇒ 70
The next visual you are able to get of The Zane is his fists slamming against the glass interior frantically as he tries to escape but can't. The readings on the console alarms begin blinking and giving readings of medium levels of radiation! The calibration didn't quite go right and now The Zane is being subjected to not only his human physiology but also Kish DNA!

Dash begins working on the console to shut down the radiation, but the process is just too slow. Human's known more for their impatience shows as Abe drastically grabs ahold of the cables and yanks them free. Sparks shower the room for a moment as the handful of cables short out. Every light on the capsule as it shuts down, though the safety still doesn't release on the door and the radiation continues to soak into The Zane's skin. -7 SP
Draka steps in an wrecks the side of the door with her hammer releasing the mechanism and the door flings open. The sight as Zane stumbles out is one to behold. While the radiation has left him weakened it seems to have burned off the sickness in him that left his body ravaged. Negative level is cured., though it doesn't seem to have healed him at all, in fact the radiation left his skin blistered and red down his arms.
The worst part though as The Zane's long hair begins to fall out small stringy patches. The top of his head underneath the hair is now a strange shade of brown and right above his browline, centered blinks a third eye similar to a Kish. This third eye grants you Darkvision.
Though this does not come without side effects as The Zane seems to have lost a bit of his other senses as his DNA has merged with the Kish. -2 Int permanent.

Zane stumbles out of the medical pod. His legs seem very weak and wobble.
He reaches up to his head, and grabs clumps of his hair that just melt off his scalp. The right hand holds this clump of straggly hair.
The left hand goes to his forehead. Brushing up against something foreign right in the middle.
Wha- What? The third eye blinks, and all three eyes go wide with a sense of surprise.
His knees give out, and he crumples to the floor . On his elbows and knees his body shakes.
His voice is hoarse and raspy.
The Zane. The Zane. What has happened to The Zane?
He goes silent for a minute. But his body, with head and face down on the floor, shakes. It looks like he might be crying, but no crying sounds emerge and nothing wets the floor.

Draka seems to think the hair loss is an improvement. The vesk pats her friend squarely on his back with the flat palm on her clawed hand. "The Zane look more like vesk now," she points to the hair loss.
The vesk tilts her giant reptilian head, The Zane have third eye now? The vesk hesitates, hesitantly reaching a finger for the record button. "Draka think... it not that bad." The vesk tries to comfort the human. They were such fragile beings, humans, so was combining the DNA of another species so bad? It would have been better if it had been vesk DNA, but Draka had no control over what they'd find on the planet. "Draka do interview when ready, but Draka get shot of medical pod." It takes long awkward minutes for Zane to get up and back on his feet.
he mumbles a few times,
This is bad.

But eventually, he is standing upright. He even has to pause and give a half-hearted laugh at Vetch when he says,

and he responds,
Shit Vetch, you are out of touch. No one uses YouSpace anymore except to arrange hook-ups, or for Vesk to put together warparties. But when the furryguy asks if the eye actually works. Zane tries to test it.
He covers the various eyes in a rotation using his two hands.
After experimenting for 20 seconds,
Yeah, the Kish Eye works. A bit differently, but it works.
This is bad. Shit. Bad. Shit.
More hair falls to the ground as soon as he moves. Whisps of it almost float lazily down as Zane starts moving. Zane sees it and looks like he's going to quasi-cry again.
But he's standing up, geared up and looks around idly.

Sounds like you guys are done with this building and ready to move on. Let me know if I am wrong and there is more you wish to do with the machine.
Thoroughly exploring the complex the group is eager to continue moving to try and find access into the Temple. Though the House of Renewal only provided a partial clue into how to gain that access.
Perhaps the Maze of Ghosts will hold more. You follow the roughly drawn map from Herald Tzayl. Roughly halfway back to the Cloudside Condominiums you come across the Maze of Ghosts. As described by Herald Tzayl the kish use the Maze of Ghosts to commune with their ancestors by walking through the building to listen to their ancestor’s guidance. As the answers a pilgrim receives are often cryptic or indecipherable, the Maze of Ghosts is used only for the deepest questions posed by the most devout kish.
The front entrance of this building has been sheared away by some ancient calamity, revealing metal structural supports, pipes, and bits of wiring. The ground here is littered with rubble, some of which was been removed to clear a small path into the structure.
Much of the building is buried under the rubble of other structures that have collapsed over the millennia, which has actually formed a protective shell keeping the worst ravages of time from affecting the building. The area around the entrance has long since been cleared, and from here you can see the building’s interior decor, which despite being faded with age is still recognizably bright and cheery.
A small booth with a large open window stands against the western wall. A doorway to the north is blocked by a thick, translucent shutter made from some kind of synthetic crystal. The walls are adorned with paint-and charcoal murals depicting humanoid figures looming over the buildings of a city; these titans seem to be looking benevolently down at the city’s inhabitants.
A large sign under the window of the ticket booth features the words “Istamak Historical Museum” in Kishaleen and lists the prices of admission, hours of operation, and similar details that no longer matter.

"Well...I'm certain that the towering figures are meant to represent the kish’s ancestors as they watch over the city and its current inhabitants. I also notice..." Vetch moves over to a portion of the mural, quickly revealing a number of nearly hidden indicators in the drawings that point toward a disguised panel in the wall near the ticket booth.
He opens the panel and looks inside.
"Also, there is a hidden door there," Vetch points behind the ticket booth.
