I accidentally drank something that was past its expiration date. While recovering from that, I caught the flu. My immune system's pretty good, so the whole ordeal luckily took me just a few days to get over.

I am better now, thank goodness. Took me several days to be human again. I really was starting to think that I was going to be patient 0 in the zombie apocalypse.

I remember when my immune system was good. I miss those days. My urchins bring home everything under the sun.

On a personal note: I've been going through a near-crippling bout of depression recently. It has been all I can do to function at work and at home with the kids. As soon as they are in bed, I shut down. I apologize that that has made my contributions here a little scattered. things are improving and hopefully they'll continue to.

Depression is brutal. You've got a lot on your plate. If you need to take a break from either of my games that you're in feel free. It's a multi-year commitment and I have no problems with the odd vacation.

On another note, we're using insanity rules, which I was going to reveal when someone actually failed a check.

Level+Wisdom Modifier = Insanity score. So Lena's is 9, Whiskey's is 14.

When you encounter creature or events that can mess with your mind, you make a will save, and take damage to that score. If your insanity level reaches 0, you go mad in a way we'll work out together.

This damage cannot be removed without high-level clerical magic, ditto for the madness.

I've dealt with my share of depression. Had a bit recently that threw me off because I couldn't figure out why. Turns out I wasn't getting enough sleep. Hang in there and let others help when they can and remember that you are not going to always feel like this.

Dan Harmon had some pretty good thoughts on this a few weeks back on twitter if you care to find it.

Dear people,

I'm currently recovering from a nasty case of the flu. As I'm also in the process of moving out of my parents' house, my posts will be incredibly sporadic or even non-existent for the time being. They may even stay so for a while after I stop feeling icky, because of the many things I'll have to do to make my house livable.

Due to the nature of my work and inability to take days off (except when icky), it may take roughly a week or three before I'll be able to resume posting normally.

No, not at all. It was fairly low velocity, I was doing about 30km/hr, and he was backing out of his driveway. Really wish he had being paying attention, or I was psychic. :)

Really sucks... Gladly never had the same, some scratches but never hit or been hit by another car. (on the bike however... Many maaany times...)
