Quick Question, is Jameson a melee fighter/slayer or a ranged slayer?
I am checking as I have a dual handed weapon Ranger (Lord Bronin) or Thief(he is not a party stealer/party f*cker) that I can play. If we have two frontlines, then a thief might just work better. What say the party?

Elena is a Barmaid at the local Inn. A girl in her you 20's. She would have more than likely overheard it serving and waiting tables at the Inn and is taking advantage to make her move at the corruption of the town giving the young women away to the Skum. She would have meet up with the other two following along and joining in the strike against the Whispering Way.

A chicken from the kitchen waddles around behind her. He was set to be made into the Pot Pie but managed to escape with his scraggly life as he trails Elena.

Jameson is melee/sneak attack slayer with trapfinding, but he has a low AC which makes him a mobile striker/flanker.


Lord Bronin formerly of Syradel in the Riverkingdoms. The Riverkingdoms are very close (actually) to Lake Encartan via Razmaran or Ustalav.

He has been pushed out/exiled from the fledgling Fiefdom that he helped found by an underhanded political plot. Since Bronin was (admittedly) Not very politically savvy, nor as good of a public speaker (early on), he just didn't earn enough political capital with the people for when things got out of hand. After a few pushes of the dominos -- he got tarred and feathered and kicked out.

Whether it is true (or just maybe the political forces giving him a red herring) the now Landless Lord is looking for a cult or at least political forces in Ustalav that meddled in his affairs and led him to humiliation and ruin. His friends and former party members have turned their back on him as they enjoy the fruits of the kingdom everyone helped build.
Bronin latches onto any rumors or skuttlebutt related to Ustalav - so he has quickly allied with Jameson the half-orc. Telling Jameson the above brief story and looking for more information on this "Whispering Way".

Quick word on maps. I use the quick & lazy google maps method so you have full rights to move your tokens and the map. I just expect an honour system where you only move your tokens and don't peek below any spoiler blocks. Moot point on this map since Wren has explored it. Map link is at the top. Feel free to add graphics, spell templates, or arrows to describe movement as necessary. I may just clean it up down the line.

Read through about 3 times so far myself. Seems mostly the same at its core. Though there are some big changes. Will have to play through a few times to see how I feel about it.

I am working on slowly gathering a group to play through all 7 parts of the Doomsday Dawn (Module?) mini-scenarios.

The character build seems a lot like Starfinder in a way and nearly all the feats are class specific now.

Big change is to spells. They are spell level linked instead of character level. For example fire ball is a 3rd level spell doing 6d6, and to make it do more damage you must increase the level of the spell. So 4 level spell is 8d6
Stat items have been reduced to increase the stat to 18, or +2 which ever is higher.

And I'm pretty keen on 2nd edition. I'll run a few playtest with my in-person group and may try switching a PbP campaign if good conversions come out. Probly CoTC or one that's been produced earlier though.

PF2.0 (or Featfinder 2.0 as I have begun calling it) is amazing. I also am not sure if it is even going to be possible to do any kind of easy conversion, as the systems are so wildly different.

@ GM - I forgot to factor in that Bronin is getting a minus 2 to attack rolls. Please minus 2 to the 4 atttacks - one was a Natural 20, so that hit.

Like any conversion, it can be done, but you need to tweak it a bit.

I am looking at running the 7 part Doomsday Dawn book if anyone is interested.

It is 7 shorter parts that semi-tie in together. It starts at level 1 then hops to 4, 7, 9, 12, 14 then 17th level for the finale.

I have 3 already that have shown interest so have room for up to 3 more if anyone here is interested in trying to figure out this crazy new world we will soon have.

@GM - I have a spoiler for you to read so I can get clarity. In addition, Bronin should have more damage on the counter. I think 30 total points as he had -11 and just took 19 more damage.
