Sildur Farwind
A moan from Dru wakes Sildur, the young bear is on his hind legs looking out the window. Sildur pauses for a moment as the room spins a little around him before rising to see what has agitated his companion.
A large carriage has just pulled up outside, he hears the driver call for passengers to a place called Heldren. In Taldor if memory serves, any other time this would strike him as odd but the last night had been something special. There was something auspicious happening here and he meant to be a part of it.
Besides, a change of scenery would be just the thing!
I believe Sildur is all set. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I'll be PMing you my votes shortly.
Best of luck to you all!
Marton Belorne
Marton nodded his assent to the undone woman. "Aye. I am a lawman, though, I wasn't quite sure how it'd be taken in such a . . . diverse crowd. But the gun-" He pulled back the edge of his cloak to reveal his pistol, secure in its holster. "A weapon is only as good as the one who wields it, but this one has gotten me out of a fee tight places without ever clearing leather." He pulled the cloak back to hide the weapon once more, his tone becoming more relaxed and conversational. "Wouldn't have pegged you for an officer of the law though. Just my inexperience, I guess. No offense, but I haven't seen many of your kind."
Marton turned his head as he heard the call. He quickly finished off his drink, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. He slapped a few coins down on the bar to cover his bill. "You'll have to excuse me, duty calls." Getting up from his seat, he adjusted his hat and made for the door.
I know I still have to adjust Marton a little bit to fit this game's rules. I'll see if I can do that within the next hour or so. My 3 votes will go out at the end of the evening. I would definitely appreciate feedback of any sort in a PM or whatever. Thanks.

Am I correct in concluding that having Taldane (Common) in my languages is acceptable then? Or should I remove the (Common)?
The young boy, having kept mostly silent & inconspicuous over much of the evening, rises to replenish his flagon, his brows raised inquiringly to those nearest him.
Lanarial
Lanarial watched the carriage from the outskirts of town, hidden on the roof of the tannery at the top of the hill. It gave him the perfect vantage point because of its height and location, and most people tended to look past the place, as if not seeing it would lessen the stench. Vantage plus relative invisibiility with an easy escape route. A perfect perch for a sniper...
"Range about 200 yards. Slight tail-wind today. That would be a tough shot to be accurate, but would be fun to try!" he thinks to himself...
Rikael Ashenstone
Rikael finally rolls out of bed upon hearing the carriage driver.
Wha... What is tha..? He mumbles, making his way downstairs, and signaling the barkeep for whatever there is to eat. He stumbles out the door, covering his eyes, and leans on Sturion.
'ey Sturion, we leavin' already?
He mumbles, trying to put his food in his mouth and missing several times.
Damn sun...

A few updates.
@Marton & @Letzia - Make sure things are how you want them. You made it in before the close of recruitment; just let me know when you are ready.
@Grey - You can go either way. The important part is that common isn't common everywhere in the world. And all good with your character's appearance and build too :)
So, for everybody who is interested, here are some big picture things that I see as general trends:
1 - I've said this before and I will say it again: we have lots of characters who really surprised me, in both ingeniousness and complexity. In addition, everybody's amount and quality of postings is much higher than I expected.
2 - I thought we would get lots of apps from people who wanted to play Samurai, Ninjas, Gunslingers, Summoners and other classes that are normally highly restricted by other GMs. We did get 1 summoner and 1 gunslinger but I think it is the exceptions that prove the rule.
3 - No clerics, fighters, or wizards which are 3 of the four basic fantasy archetypes. Some other more exotic classes not being present don't really surprise me as much.
4 - The traits people picked were concentrated around Restless Wayfarer and Warded Against Witchery. Yes, there are a few others but they tended to be relatively rare.
5 - Two of our half-elf submissions had Drow blood. That seems rare or unusual to me.

Letzia had just left her room at the inn and was making her way toward a table in the common room when the call came for travelers headed to Heldren. Before that moment she’d never heard of the town, village, camp, or whatever it was, nor had the woman made any plans to travel that day. Yet when she heard the driver she instantly decided that Heldren was where she wanted to go.
Looking down at the young husky trailing her she asked, “What do you think Kuma? Shall we try Heldren?” Kuma’s ice blue eyes gave little indication of his thoughts on the matter but the guard dog rarely voiced an opinion on matters not involving food. So Letzia took his indifference as agreement and retreated back to her room to pack.
When the duo returned they were both ready for the next leg of their journey. Kuma now wore a bulging saddle pack bearing an elaborate crimson monogram stitched into the blackened leather of each pouch. Letzia for her part had swapped her fur lined ankle boots, tight pair of dusky pants, gray cotton shirt, and a heavy sweater jacket loosely belted at her supple waist for something a bit more suitable for the outdoors. Her black leather boots now stretched up her legs and disappeared beneath a long flowing white camel hair coat. Fine black leather gloves protected her hands and a long blue scarf with an intricate black patter woven into it loosely hung around her neck. Her long wavy black hair tumbled out of a white knit cap and cascaded over her shoulders.
The entire outfit screamed money and stood in stark contrast to the more practical clothing of most adventurers. A fact that might have made the rapier attached to her right hip and a twin shortsword hanging from her right seem out of place if not for their fine gilded scabbards. Instead the weapons made the young girl seem more like a noble playing at adventure. This, unfortunately, was truer than Letzia would have liked. Still great adventurers had to start somewhere and as she saw it she might as well look good doing so.
After handing a few coins and her room key and grabbing a couple of biscuits for the road, she made her way over to the driver. “I’ll take a seat, please. When you say express, do you mean the carriage will be running all the way to Heldren or that we are skipping some other stops along the way? I ask because Kuma can probably walk but wouldn’t really enjoy trying to keep up with galloping horses.”

Agatha rises, gathers her gear, and moves out of her room. Last night was interesting, and for the first time she was optimistic about her prospects. Cousins discovered, and an exchange of views that hadn't ended with a attempted lynching. And a journey to, what did the driver say, heldren.
yes much to look foreword to
But as she, aevann and his sister leaves the room they were being observed by a power far greater than them
A deep chuckle rolls across the room once they were gone. The chuckle of an old, old woman, who has seen much, and who had plans.
We shall see what future holds, dear child. Winter indeed is coming. Oh yes, indeed.
The presence fades away.
Agatha is ready
Uloth Muleskin
Not one for idle conversation with large crowds of strangers, Uloth arrives in town near dawn and makes his way towards the central square. Normally, he'd just leg it to his next destination, but Heldren's quite the haul from here, and the carriage ride would save him a few rations at least.
Feels like a good day to start a journey, he thinks as he breaths in the fresh morning air. He reaches out a hand from the straps of his backpack, waving: "Driver, over here! I'll take a ride, if you'll have me."

Still here!

.
I might switch it to Taldane (Chelish) to indicate by his accent that he hails from Cheliax then.Semi-build related query; Since the Evolutions will be fixed once finalized, does that mean Transmogrify is unavailable, or does it mean that the only way to adjust Evolutions later on is by means of that spell? Also, would I be able to 'switch-out' spells later as per the class description?

@Marton & @Letzia - Make sure things are how you want them. You made it in before the close of recruitment; just let me know when you are ready.
Phew, okay. I think my character is ready. Expanded the backstory a little and I think I've accounted for all the things you needed. I would definitely appreciate some feedback if you're willing to give it.
GM Deuce
Follow-up on two things:
- Grey - The point of the house rules is to stop the free or regular reassignment that happens when you go up in level. You can still use Transmogrify (or Wish or Limited Wish) to change evolutions. All of the other class abilities for Summoners remain the same.
- Marton - You look good and your backstory is cool. You really feel like some police officers I know.
Sildur Farwind
And the site returns!
Sildur descends the stairs from his room looking refreshed, Dru plodding along close behind. He nods to those hanging around the common room as he moves to inquire with the innkeeper about some travel friendly food to break his fast.
With a biscuit held between his teeth, Sildur swings his heavy cloak about his shoulders as he steps out into the brisk morning air. Striding forward, he removes the buscuit and adresses the driver, Well it would seem Heldren is the destination for us. I can only imagine we'll undertand why when we arrive. I trust you've no problem with my friend travelling aboard? He'll be content with a spot on the floor."
GM Deuce
The carriage driver digs into his pouches and produces a pipe. After a little bit of fiddling, he lights the pipe and leans against the carriage, a smell of smoke filling the area.
Mostly just a tag now that the boards have stabilized. I've gotten some votes, keep them coming. I hope to spend time during the games today doing analysis, looking at character details, and the like. I couldn't do that too much yesterday.
Rikael Ashenstone
Aye Stirron', that bear, he's the best damned bear I ever saw. Just sits there and eats. I be he's hell inna fight though....
His hangover not quite worn off, he squints at the carriage.
that carriage, I wonder if it's part of the whole "Gods bringin' us here, settin' us on a path", all that.
He looks back at the inn, intently, almost as if he's burning the past night's events into his memory, almost as if he never expects to see it again.
Sildur Farwind
The ulfen gives Rikael an intense look and a nod, "Aye, as if the very wrath of nature were called down upon his victims..."
As if on cue, the shaggy mountain bear moans, before padding over and rubbing enthusiastically against the half-elf's leg.
Sildur chuckles, "Of course, that's only if he doesn't like you..."
Rikael Ashenstone
Rikael pets the bear's head, and smiles.
Seema like I'm popular with the animals, now.
He laughs again and looks around him at all the people getting ready to board the carriage.
Seems like we're all ready to go. The carriage looks comfortable enough. Plus, I think my hangover is going away! That sausage is magic!

A nice stretch after a comfortable night, Thorn relaxes for a while. THe spirits whisper of a new event. That of a carriage arriving. They are quite insistant he take a look.
Groaning, he freshens up by filling a basin with snow and letting it melt before using the cold water to wash up and thus waking up fully...
BBrrrr.....That's cold.
He takes himself back to the Inn, gear all packed just in case as isn't surprised to see some of the patrons from the previous night up and about. The carriage though interesting seems as if it were still waiting for someone..or some people.
Getting himself a warm mug of Krav. He seats himself across Sidur.
"A fine Morning to all of you."
Keinara Kelfane
Probably a bit late, but is recruitment still open? With so many pages already it's doubtful, but here is my submission if so.
Race - Aasimar (Musetouched)
Class will be Fighter 1/Rogue 19 (or whatever level we get up to)
Everything you need is in this profile and if you are still recruiting, she's on 20 point buy, so I'd adjust things for you.
Sturion Stoutheart
As the wagon pulls out, Sturion pulls a crock from his pack, along with some rather solid biscuits. He smears large grayish globs from the crock onto a biscuit, and takes a large bite, chewing thoroughly. Seeing some of his fellow travelers watching, he gestures... Beef an' taters in graystone gravy. Want some?
