Male Halfling Bard 1 / Rogue 1 (Carnivalist)

Armen charges back in to the room brandishing his sword.

"Rally, Dragoons!"

If I can reach in a move action, Armen will strike up a bardic performance: Inspire Courage +1 to all attack, damage and saving throws against charm and fear.

Performance Check1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

Female (for now) Human 6 Barbarian

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 (+3 if it's a spell, SLA, or sprntl ability)
Make the save is half damage, yeah?

Brynn shrugs off the magical bolt and immediately charges toward the reanimated threat.

Crunch:
Charge, attack, flanking
Atk: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (6) + 20 = 26 for Dmg: 2d6 + 20 ⇒ (4, 5) + 20 = 29

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Reflex save 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Made save, take 10 damage and not staggered.
Ranged touch attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

spell:
Searing Light

School evocation; Level cleric 3

Casting Time 1 standard action

Components V, S

Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)

Effect ray

Duration instantaneous

Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance yes

Focusing divine power like a ray of the sun, you project a blast of light from your open palm. You must succeed on a ranged touch attack to strike your target. A creature struck by this ray of light takes 1d8 points of damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d8). An undead creature takes 1d6 points of damage per caster level (maximum 10d6), and an undead creature particularly vulnerable to bright light takes 1d8 points of damage per caster level (maximum 10d8). A construct or inanimate object takes only 1d6 points of damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d6).

Shaking off most of the effects of the lich's spell, Kayla flings a bolt of her own at the creature. "Foul creature, taste the light of Sarenrae!"

M Human Level 6 Cavalier (Houndmaster)

Reflex Save for Virgil: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Shaking off the fear, Osslend growls in frustration and charges across the room at the fiend, his holy mace aglow.

Virgil, reeling from the hit but tough as nails, darts in to accompany his master and bites out at the vile creature.

crunch:

Osslend:
Att:1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29
Dam: 1d8 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 7 + (6) = 17

Virgil:
Att:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Dam:1d8 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 5 + (5) = 18
Trip: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Sorry, forgot what holy does, so please add that into Osslend's attack, too. Can't look it up right now. :(

M Human Level 6 Cavalier (Houndmaster)

Holy does an extra 2d6 and bypasses DR. So...
2d6 ⇒ (5, 1) = 6

Shadow Lodge

Shinami’s attack misses.

Owen appears in mid attack: a raging beast who’s sudden appearance in such fearsome visage as to stop the heart of any living adversary! His exuberance leaves something to be desired however as only his first claw hits. It does not seem to have any effect though.

Armen’s reappearance bolsters your hearts and stirs a great courage in your spirits.

Brynn, true to her reputation, shrugs off a devastating blow and returns with one of her own. Sadly, as frail as it looks, this Litch seems made of sterner stuff as less than half of the blow find proper purchase.

Kayla unleashes Sarenrae's holy light but feels the creature resist!

Caster check to overcome spell resistance. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Kayla pushes her skill into her spell, but, alas, she was unprepared for such resistance. Not only is the litch unaffected, but the spell reflects back on the Cleric!

3d8 ⇒ (3, 3, 2) = 8

Osslend finds his courage and charges the unholy creature with his faithful hound just ahead of him. Virgil’s jaws look to close around the litch’s leg, but by some trick of the light, the canine misses.

The dog’s master though lands a crushing blow that leaves the abomination reeling!

male 1/2 Elf Sage Sor/Wiz 2 Gestalt

We're boned.

male 1/2 Elf Sage Sor/Wiz 2 Gestalt

Cecil Casts Haste and Hits Owen and 5 more who are within 30 feet of Owen.

Not sure exactly who that is.

Shadow Lodge

Brom looses a war cry more fearsome than his quiet father could have imagined and rallies his men to ranks. They loose a volley at the Litch!

Brom's attack 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Soldier's attacks
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 for 1d8 ⇒ 3
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 for 1d8 ⇒ 3
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 for 1d8 ⇒ 2
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 for 1d8 ⇒ 6
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 for 1d8 ⇒ 2
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 for 1d8 ⇒ 7
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 for 1d8 ⇒ 8
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 for 1d8 ⇒ 2
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 for 1d8 ⇒ 3

No less than five arrows fly true, but all sail through gaps between bones where flesh should have been.

The other cleric (I can't remember her name :/) channels energy to heal Kayla, Cecil, and Armen.

3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 5) = 13

Eidolon

Edit: Edited Owens actions based on the Liches.

Owen angrily looks for the lich

Perception 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 17

If he sees him he moves toward the lich at full speed.

He flies at 60 feet normally, but he's hasted so he can move up to 240 this round if he has to. If he sees the lich and can he'll be charging.

Shadow Lodge

The Litch prepares to defend himself as he begins to cast a spell!

Casting Defensively 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (10) + 18 = 28

Without giving his foes the chance to strike, the Litch transports himself

Perception checks to find him again, as most of the cavern is very dark.

Please roll a percentage dice when striking the litch in future. a result above 50% will hit. Also, please make caster checks to overcome spell resistance with any spells cast. This will just speed things up. Ok! Your turn Dragoons.

Female (for now) Human 6 Barbarian

Seeing the effect the holy mace had on the creature, Brynn pauses a moment in order to re-equip herself with her own holy mace and shield.

Shadow Lodge

Cecil, please adjust Owen's actions now the Litch has acted.

Female (for now) Human 6 Barbarian

Isn't that 50% reduced to 20% while I'm next to him because I've got my Ioun Torch up? I feel like we talked about this.
Edit: "while I'm next to him"

Female (for now) Human 6 Barbarian

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

Edited Owens actions. See above.

Shadow Lodge

Brynn and Owen are able to spot the litch on the other side of the island.

Owen may charge, but only because he is flying. Normally you cannot charge through allies.

Owen easily spots the Lich, Growls and leaps into the air straight at the Lich attempting to sink his jaws into the undead creature.

Bite 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 281d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Free trip if he hits CMD1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

-2 AC for this turn from charging.

Male Elf Monk 2/Ninja 4

Shinami searches the darkness, attempting to find the Lich again.

Low Light Vision, Perception 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27

Female (for now) Human 6 Barbarian

Brynn hunkers her shoulders down and barrels through the small army to get a bead on her target, all the while drawing her shield. When she reaches a few feet away, she begins winding up her mace for a devastating blow.

Crunch:
Rage round 3.

Move action: I3.

Atk: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (16) + 16 = 32 for Dmg: 1d8 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
+Holy dmg: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8

Male Halfling Bard 1 / Rogue 1 (Carnivalist)

I forget, did we approach from the south on the map, or the northwest?

Shadow Lodge

Shinami, you and everyone else can see the litch again. Armen, from the northwest.

Male Halfling Bard 1 / Rogue 1 (Carnivalist)

Armen will glance around the room, and particularly at the southern exit, as he walks toward it, maintaining his performance as he does so.

Perception check1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Shadow Lodge

Sorry if I was unclear. There is no other exit. In this cavern is an island surrounded by water.

Male Elf Monk 2/Ninja 4

With the Lich in the corner, and no space for Shinami, he decided to poke around the area in which they saw the Lich for any clues on what they were dealing with.

Perception check to search the torture area? 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22

M Human Level 6 Cavalier (Houndmaster)

Roaring with pleasure at the hurts he inflicted, Osslend swings at the foul creature again as Virgil snaps out.

crunch:

Osslend:
Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 79
Att: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28
Dam: 1d8 + 10 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 10 + (6) = 17
Holy Dam: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6

Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 81
Att: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24
Dam: 1d8 + 10 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 10 + (6) = 17
Holy Dam: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 6) = 9

Virgil:
Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 25
Att:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Dam:1d8 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 5 + (1) = 7
Trip: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Wow...look at all the 1's I rolled!

male 1/2 Elf Sage Sor/Wiz 2 Gestalt

It's been two weeks with no posts. I believe this game is DOA.

M Human Level 6 Cavalier (Houndmaster)

It certainly seems that way. It's too bad. This was a great setting with great folks and DM. It was a pleasure playing with you all.

If anyone finds a new game and wouldn't mind me tagging along, let me know!

Male Halfling Bard 1 / Rogue 1 (Carnivalist)

Same here. I know I came in late, but I had fun.

Shadow Lodge

Sorry Guys. I don't know what happened with this game. I just lost it. This was my first PBP ever and I'm glad you were my players. I really enjoyed playing with you too.

Male Halfling Bard 1 / Rogue 1 (Carnivalist)

it happens. if you decide to run another, let us know. I'd definitely be interested

male 1/2 Elf Sage Sor/Wiz 2 Gestalt

No worries DM. It happens. If you want to do another feel free to Private message me.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Real life probably contributed to the lost of momentum. I was definitely fun while it lasted though. :)

M Human Level 6 Cavalier (Houndmaster)

Agreed. Thanks so much DSP. It was fantastic. I'd love to hear from ya if you start another. Good luck with everything.

Shadow Lodge

IF/WHEN I start another campaign. I will let y'all know!

Female (for now) Human 6 Barbarian

Retard GM. Failed at posting when he had a TPK encounter in the palm of his hand.

Shadow Lodge

It goes on record that the last thing that happened in this game was that the Lich ate Brynn. One bite, swallow whole, no save, no whining.

Brynnya. ;-)

Female (for now) Human 6 Barbarian

But I get a +3 while raging, and lord knows I'm raging pretty hard right now.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Raging or ragging?
