Cecil Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Owen Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Round 1 Actions

Cecil startles and says "Pressa Agora!"(Haste on everyone but the werewolf woman. See spoiler for details.)

Owen Jumps to bite then she wolf 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 81d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5(Free trip attempt if it hits per the trip evolution.)CMB to Trip 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
(Haste not included with owen since he goes before I do.)

Haste:

School transmutation; Level bard 3, sorcerer/wizard 3

Casting Time 1 standard action

Components V, S, M (a shaving of licorice root)

Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)

Targets one creature/level, no two of which can be more than 30 ft. apart

Duration 1 round/level

Saving Throw Fortitude negates (harmless); Spell Resistance yes (harmless)

The transmuted creatures move and act more quickly than normal. This extra speed has several effects.

When making a full attack action, a hasted creature may make one extra attack with any weapon he is holding. The attack is made using the creature's full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This effect is not cumulative with similar effects, such as that provided by a speed weapon, nor does it actually grant an extra action, so you can't use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round.)

A hasted creature gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves. Any condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonus es.

All of the hasted creature's modes of movement (including land movement, burrow, climb, fly, and swim) increase by 30 feet, to a maximum of twice the subject's normal speed using that form of movement. This increase counts as an enhancement bonus, and it affects the creature's jumping distance as normal for increased speed. Multiple haste effects don't stack. Haste dispels and counters slow .

Male Elf Monk 2/Ninja 4

Startled at the sudden transformation, Shinami leaps forward in an attempt to restrain her and calm Ragna.

"Ragna! We didn't mean it like that! If you can tell us what the issue is, we can help! We won't just go in and slaughter everyone! We need to hear your story!"

Crunch:

Initiative 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Diplomacy 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Grapple 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25

M Human Level 6 Cavalier (Houndmaster)

Eyes wide with surprise, Osslend draws his flail even as his hounds are already rising to their feet.

crunch:

Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

crunch:
Initiative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Casts Command. DC 16

"Ragna Halt"

Shadow Lodge

Bryce and Brynn Initiative= 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 + 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Dragoon's Average Initiative = 11

Ragna's Initiative = 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24

Ragna will be going first. I will allow you to change actions this time. In future, declared actions will take place at the appropriate initiative. Kayla: since you had readied hold person, it stands.

The she-wolf steps away from the Dragoons, assumes a defensive posture, and bellows an unsettling howl!

Will Saves Please

It is now the team's turn. Cecil, we post as team initiatives in this game. All of you may now post your actions in any order. Once you've all gone, it's the NPCs' turn. Rinse. Repeat.

For this round, please roll a Will save, then post your actions as what you would do if you pass. Please include your starting coordinates for if you fail. 8)

P.S. the map is up to date.

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

crunch:
will save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 add +2 if it is a compulsion or charm effect from birthmark trait.

Listed my action above, it was the command to halt.

Male Elf Monk 2/Ninja 4

Crunch:
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Same exact actions as previous, but using Shadow Clone before diving at her after she howls. If will test failed, will still stay where I am

Female (for now) Human 6 Barbarian

If will save is passed: Rocketing out of his chair, drawing his sword, and charging all in one fluid motion, Brynn rushes between Ragna and Kayla.

Crunch:
Will save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

First move action: stand up from chair, end up in I5.

Second move action: draw sword while moving to J8.

Bryce draws his silversheen great sword and takes a guarded stance, but otherwise does not advance or attack. His cool eyes consider the transformed commoner carefully. "Shinami, Kayla, can you bind it? We need information."

Will save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

male 1/2 Elf Sage Sor/Wiz 2 Gestalt

Round one actions remain the same unless WIll save interferes.

Cecil WIl save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Orion WIl Save 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Forgot to add what Kayla wanted to say. "Don't kill her, she's just scared."

M Human Level 6 Cavalier (Houndmaster)

If make will save.

Recovering from his surprise, Osslend motions to his hounds who follow him as he steadily walks toward the she-beast. He paces carefully around the room, choosing not to get too close yet. He offers a nod to Brynn and makes a quick motion with his hands indicating Brynn to attack from the front, while Osslend will attempt to strike from behind.

crunch:

Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17

Osslend will move to N9 with dogs right behind.

Shadow Lodge

The mighty Dragoons, with the exceptions of Kayla and Shinami, scatter to the edges of the room in fear.

Will Save against Kayla's command 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Ragna, who seemed about to charge, sits back in her defensive stance, waiting.

Shinami, grapple and shadow clone are both standard actions, I will assume you wanted to grapple more than clonify yourself.

Shinami, unafraid, rushes is and leaps on the beast! Grapple Successfull!

Shadow Lodge

Ragna Round 2

Having a ninja hanging off of her, seems to enrage Ragna. She lashes out against Shinami!

Claw 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 7 - 2 = 23 for 1d3 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Claw 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 7 - 2 = 12 for 1d3 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Bite 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 8 - 2 = 26 for 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Shinami feels Ragna's claws tear into his left side! He manages to parry the second clawed hand, but is unable to avoid Ragna's maw as she bites down on his shoulder!

22 total damage Shinami. Make a Fortitude save please.

Dragoons, begin your round 2. If you were feared, you need to pass a DC 20 Will save to get back in action.

Female (for now) Human 6 Barbarian

Will save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

Nat 20 work? :P

Questioning the fear powering his legs, Brynn charges into action while drawing his greatsword. Remember your strength. No blood to be spilt here.

Crunch:
Full-round action: Charge to I8 while drawing greatsword, power attacking J9 with non-lethal damage.

Atk: 1d20 + 13 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 13 - 4 = 16
Dmg: 2d6 + 14 ⇒ (1, 1) + 14 = 16

Edit: changed wording on roleplay.

male 1/2 Elf Sage Sor/Wiz 2 Gestalt

Cecil WIll 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Owen Will 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Though Owen still seems to be Pressing himself to a wall, Cecil shakes his head and comes to his senses.

Cecil Thinks "This woman is far outnumbered. No need to waste spells."

Cecil walks over to Owen and attempts to shake him out of his feared state.

Saving throw bonus of +2 if we're within arms reach of each other.

M Human Level 6 Cavalier (Houndmaster)

crunch:

Osslend Will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Virgil Will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Raleigh Will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Forgot dog will saves last time, so included them this time.

Fully convinced of the woman's prowess, Virgil curls into a small ball and whimpers. Raleigh starts forward but, seeing his pack mate cower, thinks twice and loses his confidence. Osslend tries to trudge forward and starts to smile as he believes he has overcome the howl until his legs freeze on him, locking him in place. His face goes pale.

Argh! One point shy. I'll never make a 20 with a +1, heh.

Shadow Lodge

Bryce charge in and misses his mark in an attempt to avoid hitting Shinami.

Shinami, Kayla, and Bryce still get actions.

Male Elf Monk 2/Ninja 4

Shinami grunts as the werewolf's teeth chomps down hard on his shoulder as he struggles to hold onto the thrashing form.

Crunch:
Fortitude Save 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Maintaining Grapple 1d20 + 10 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 10 + 5 = 30
Strangler damage while maintaining grapple 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
For attacking while grappled (she's flat footed since grappled so I can use sneak attack and has no DEX bonus) 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 201d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 32d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8
All nonlethal damage

"Please, Ragna, for your people's sake, CALM DOWN"

Shadow Lodge

I hate grapple...it always does this...lol.

The pinned condition makes the target lose dex to AC. The grappled condition makes the target take a -4 penalty to dex, so no sneak on the second attack from no de to AC. However, your 'strangler feat lets you do sneak to a grappled opponent, and you do not have to roll attack to hit once you've maintained the grapple: you just roll damage.

All that to say, your damage stands...

Shinami tightens his grip around Ragna's throat; her eyes flutter; she passes out, and reverts to her human form.

Please drop initiative order now 8)

M Human Level 6 Cavalier (Houndmaster)

The howling gone, Osslend blinks away the fear and reaches down to encourage his hounds. Looking up to his companions, he says, "We plan to face a town of those? We will need more information if we wish to have a chance."

Oh, thank you!

Male Elf Monk 2/Ninja 4

Panting, Shinami picks up the now limp Ragna and lays her on the table.

"Well now. This is going to be an interesting adventure. Kayla, could you check on my wound? I want to make sure this... curse didn't pass on. Do we have anything to restrain her? We need to be able to talk with her without worry that she'll rip our faces off."

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Is there any way for Kayla to tell if Shinami is going to start turning fuzzy?

crunch:
Cure Serious Wounds 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (2, 1, 6) + 5 = 14

Kayla examines Shinami's wound and casts a healing spell upon him.

"I don't know that simple rope will hold her. Manacles or chains would be better."

male 1/2 Elf Sage Sor/Wiz 2 Gestalt

Not sure what knowledge to roll but the modifier on all of them is the same. Specifically I want to know more about whatever she is (werewolf presumably) and what their weaknesses are.(Silver?)
Knowledge nature?1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Also SInce she's unconscious is it safe to assume the fear is gone?

If not:
Owen Wil 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

DM:
The Summoner section specifically states that the Edilion knows and can speak languages that the master knows. FYI. I'm going to play it as though Owen chooses not to most of the time. After some time I may have him say something just for the shock value. ;-)

Shadow Lodge

A knowledge religion would garner the most info on lycanthropy.

Kayla's KR 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

Kayla:

You know that the bite of a werewolf generally leaves the victim dead or altered. There are a few cases where the bitten was able to shrug off the curse and live, but not many. A remove curse spell will work if a victim changes. However, once bitten, the only way to make sure the victim hasn't contracted the curse is to A: let them change then hit them with a remove curse: potentially dangerous...

Or B: Bathe in an infusion of water and wolfsbane before the next full moon.

Wolfsbane traditionally grows in places with a dense werewolf population is or has been.

P.S. The next full moon is in 1 week.

Shadow Lodge

Cecil, Knowledge Religion will get you the answer you want. You rolled well enough to read the spoiler I gave Kayla. And yes, you and she know that werewolves are weak against silver (mithril counts as silver).

"Bloody Hells!" Cecil exclaims. Then his tone changes to one as if he were reading directly from a book."The bite of a werewolf generally leaves the victim dead or altered. There are a few cases where the bitten was able to shrug off the curse and live, but not many. Once bitten there are only two known ways to prevent the curse from taking it's full and unfortunate effects. 1)Let the Victim change and cast a curse removing spell (Moderately powerful clerics are known to posses) . This is not without significant risk to the victim. Alternately Bathing the victim in an infusion of water and wolfsbane before the next full moon.Wolfsbane traditionally grows in places with a dense werewolf population is or has been." Cecil's voice returns to it's normal tone and he looks around at his companions "I have a good memory." he says as he shrugs.

"Also, If memory serves the next full moon is only a week away."

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"Shinami, I suggest you take the bath. I wonder if Thobir can get us any Wolfsbane or if there are any herbalist shops in town that may have it. I did not prepare any remove curse spells today, I'll be sure to do that tomorrow. I also wonder if Thobir can perhaps get us a pair of mithril manacles...."

Kayla looks down at Ragna and sighs. "What are we to do with her? Aside from attacking us out of fear, we don't know that she's ever commited any crimes or killed anyone."

Male Elf Monk 2/Ninja 4

"Why Kayla, I just had a bath! Are you saying I already smell that bad? So much for my Mithril shirt stopping wounds. Well... If Thobir doesn't have access to Wolfsbane... we ARE heading toward a dense werewolf population..." Shinami smirks.

Shadow Lodge

The door to your suite opens and Thobir enters laiden with gear and provisions.

This contains all the gear you have listed on your character sheets. BTW, Bryce has masterwork manacles which he gives to Kayla

He starts to grumble about how hungry he is and how much work he's been doing when he sees a ragged woman lying on the table.

"Gods! I can't leave you people alone for half a day without the hells breaking loose! Who is this?"

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"Uhm...This is Ragna from Faelstaff. We were trying to question her about the situation there. Is there any chance you could procure us some wolfsbane? I need to bathe Shinami." Kayla accepts the manacles from Bryce and shackles Ragna. "Could one of you gentlemen move her to the couch please?"

Shadow Lodge

"Wolfsbane?" Thobir whispers. "Oh gods! He's been bitten hasn't he?"

Thobir hangs is head and sighs.

"I suppose this is going to be a fairly normal type of occurrence with you people." He sighs again. "I cannot get you wolfsbane. Its an extremely rare, black-market item. It's too risky and I won't likely find any anyway. You'll have to hope to find some in Faellstaff."

"That's not even the bad news...the Prince has procured some very fine horses for your travel to Faellstaff. You were meant to go instantly by teleport, then travel back. Now...(you all recall the debacle in the council room)...I'm afraid it'll take you 5 days just to get there on horse back."

Thobir fakes a confident smile, "I'm sure you can handle the wolves and cure Shinami within 2 days."

Thobir looks around the room at you all, his eyes house a deep, practiced sadness.

"You lot come back to me, ya hear? We're not done yet." He heads for the door. "Get some sleep. You're on the road before dawn."

Thobir tosses a small pill to Kayla.

"Make her swallow that before she wakes. It'll keep her unconscious 24 hours. I'll find her lodgings while you're gone."

The dwarf leaves the room.

Male Elf Monk 2/Ninja 4

Hearing Thobir's words, Shinami glanced up sharply.

"Wait, wait. We can't keep her unconscious for 24 hours. Didn't we need to question her more?"

Shinami Genbu wrote:

"Was her transformation not answer enough? Combining the facts of werewolves and giant wolves and undead wolves, I would assume there is some kind of evil werewolf cult working in or around Faelstaff. At least it's my present working theory based on available information."

Male Elf Monk 2/Ninja 4

"Does my being able to transform in a few weeks mean I too am part of this 'evil werewolf cult'? Is it a werewolf cult, or a bunch of infected people trying to survive? You can not make a logical decision without sufficient knowledge backing up both sides of the argument. We still do not know how they were infected or for what reason."

Female (for now) Human 6 Barbarian

Half in a joking sense, Brynn adds, "Maybe we just need a bunch of Wolfsbane and water to cure the entire town."

Male Elf Monk 2/Ninja 4

Shinami grins, "March in and announce everyone has to take their annual baths at our bathhouse!"

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

Kayla gives Ragna the pill and then turns to face Cecil. "Her condition does not make her automatically evil and her transformation was out of fear. I would not hold that against her. Yes, it is possible that the werewolves are evil creatures, but it also possible that the people of Faelstaff provoked them somehow and now they are only defending themselves. We need to get there quickly and find out the truth of what is going on before more people die."

Kayla seems to lose that train of thought for a moment as a new thought has seemed to occur to her. She sighs as she says, "Oh dear, Thobir said the Prince himself proccured our horses for the trip. I wonder what is going to be wrong with them." Kalya shakes her head sadly.

"You have a fine and suspicious mind, Lady Kayla!" Bryce gives a nod, looking impressed. "Perhaps we should ask Thobir to acquire us some spare mounts in case of ... ah ... accident?"

Ugh, I must be half asleep. I really should've thought of that. Time to wake up, old man.

Also, woah - 30+ posts to read. Good going guys :)

"It does not. However, 'people just trying to survive' don't typically raise the dead. The act is inherently evil. Hence, my assertion about an evil cult. Also, if you will note I did indicate that it was merely a working theory. "

Edit: "I misspoke. I meant raising undead is inherently evil."

"You misunderstand. The werewolf is not necessarily evil. Whomever is raising the undead in Faelstaff is at the very least 'not good.' I ascertained that they were evil based on the fact that their creations were both numerous and attacking people. "

Female Aasimar Cleric / 1

"Thank you Bryce and that is a good idea. After all, it is a 5 day journey. Taking along extra mounts shouldn't raise any eyebrows or offend the dear Prince."

Turning back to Cecil, "I've just thought of another theory. It's entirely possible there was no actual raising of the dead. They may have just been ignorant of what they were fighting. We were told that the wolves would rise back up after being felled. However, werewolves are quite hard to kill, so it is entirely possible that they survived what would have been a killing blow to any natural wolf. Thus starting the rumor of them rising back up from the dead. That sounds plausible doesn't it?"

Kayla gives a loud sigh and says, "Of course we could also be fighting undead werewolves. I really hate this not knowing for sure part of the mission. I wish we were already in Faelstaff, it is going to be a very long 5 days."

I'm still watching. I'll move things along once you've all gone to sleep. Please, don't feel like you cannot continue roleplaying. I'll wait as long as there is chatter.
