Spots |

Spots bites into green enemy's legs and locks his jaw. He then pulls hard and tries to drag the enemy backwards 1 square.
If your attack is successful, both you and your target are moved 5 feet back, with your opponent occupying your original space and you in the space behind that in a straight line. For every 5 by which your attack exceeds your opponent's CMD, you can drag the target back an additional 5 feet. You must be able to move with the target to perform this maneuver. If you do not have enough movement, the drag goes to the maximum amount of movement available to you and ends.
An enemy being moved by a drag does not provoke an attack of opportunity because of the movement unless you possess the Greater Drag feat. You cannot move a creature into a square that is occupied by a solid object or obstacle. If there is another creature in the way of your movement, the drag ends adjacent to that creature.
Stability: Some characters or types of creatures prove particularly sure-footed, making them more difficult to overthrow and move around the battlefield. Any racial ability that grants a bonus to CMD versus bull rush attempts grants the same bonus against drag combat maneuvers.

Draylan, if you want Spots to start dragging, it's handling animal on your action, which would mean you'd be taking all your actions before Spots, in the current situation. Unless you take your round's actions 1st, Spots would just attack him as best he can. In which case you roll for dmg of Spot's bite. You could direct him and then try climbing the crate, AC penalty of course ;).

ACT 5: The Cargo Hold.
Below decks, the dimly-lit hold has taken on a foot of brackish bilge water, and clammy air laps against your skin. The sole light emanates from a small whale-oil lamp mounted on the lower mast. The cavernous hollow contains dozens of water-damaged crates roped in neat stacks secured tightly to the sidewalls. The remaining portion of the hold is set up like a common room with hammocks, an open larder, and a small kitchen where food is prepared. The accommodations appear radically stripped down, presumably to make room for contraband or increased speed. Toward the bow, loud banging echoes from a wooden door, sodden and swelled shut and held fast with thick black chains.
With no tablets found in the crates, only a chained off door leaves the possible way to finding them. The pounding on the door ceases briefly, as Sele carefully unwraps the chains.
-----------------------------------------------------------
The light of the lamp goes to the 1st red line. Beyond becomes dim lighting, beyond the 2nd red line is darkness.
As Sele slowly pushes open the door, he notices figures. Clawed and ravenous in appearance. The turn their focus on the paladin.
