After arriving back on board, you show the journal to Lady Riverbane.
She nods. "Aye, i sent them here, 't was to be a rescu'in mission which has gone sour. Hardest part be notifyin' their kin. You lot look weary, you should take a breather."

The rest of the day is uneventful.
The next morning however, Lady Riverbane anchors her ship and leads you to shore.
"I hope you've slept well, marchin' this forest's thicket won't be a light task."
She hands you a map with the route to where the Black Maqruis' men got ambushed.
"The trip is about 4 hours by foot. I hope you don't mind, but with the last ship of nutcases tryin' to board us, i want to make sure i can set some tricks for any ruffians tryin' the same while you're in the forest.
These are fine sailors, but poor combatants."

Act 3: The Venomous Woods

The forest here is ancient. Dense masses of leafage impose an eerie twilight of dark green while forlorn trees speak of a bygone age where humans wrestled for survival in a land of darkness.
Many thick sheets of giant webbing stretch like great shrouds around the gaunt trees and groveling bushes.

2 things i need.
1) Marching order? Could be either a long line, or a 2 side by side.
2) Perception rolls from everyone.

Walking upon the narrow trail, Sele and Vaisil suddenly feel the ground fall before their feet.

Keera and Wulfren see the duo fall into a disguised pit.
They take Oof: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 6) = 7 dmg from the fall.

Down in the pit, however, the two find the broken and partially webbed remains of what is likely one of the marquis' missing men.

Those Survival rolls ensure you don't run into more of these.

When that incident has passed:

You exit the labyrinth of thickets and webbing, finding yourself on a clearing. Web-covered trees here are still as ominous as they were in the labyrinth and dead leaves cover the ground. A few hundred yards beyond, a low hill bare of any vegetation rises from the sea of green.

What is clear in sight, is the figure of a man in tattered clothing laboriously crawling towards you.

In my opinion it is better for Chyro to continue performing those kind of passive rolls, it just helps to keep things moving. At least you can do with mine, we can always retcon if there is something you haven't considered like before with the feather fall :)

Vailis will close to Sele and cast grease on him, to help with him going out of the entangle.
