Cappi Brightonspinner |

I'm also assuming that Cappi isn't especially aware of what's happening. But if Brom wants to jump in on this, let me know so I don't leave you hanging and out of an opportunity for more scars!

Winifred Lebeda |

It seems obvious to me as a player that he's clearly beyond first level anyway from two things, 1 he has intimidate as a free action, and 2 that intimidate modifier would be hard to get at level 1.
He is certainly not a push over.
Of course I took neither of those into consideration.

![]() |

I understand completely, and let the dice fall where they may, but Karse is determined to defend Winifred's honor (and person). And speaking as someone who has been there, infatuation causes otherwise intelligent people to do stupid things. :)

Winifred Lebeda |

Winifred Lebeda wrote:1 he has intimidate as a free actionSee Dazzling Display :)
So we could either have Weapon Focus (Longsword), Dazzling Display, and Skill Focus: Intimidate or be higher then first level. Not that the Skill Focus is needed for Dazzling Display, but unless he min maxed for charisma he'd need it if he's first level to have the +11 intimidate (same as my diplomacy, and I have SF: Diplomacy).
I choose to believe he's at least 3rd level, but 3rd level wouldn't put him beyond what 10 level 1 PCs could handle.

Winifred Lebeda |

In the meantime, Castor will be a goody-two-shoes peacekeeper because entirely built on being support. (I'm kind of regretting not putting ranks in diplomacy, now.)
Well I suppose when the most diplomatic (skill-wise) character is the one causing the issue it does complicate things. :)
Of course just because she's good with diplomacy doesn't mean she's a people person, as made obvious.

Brom Wolven |

Brom is sleeping as his player figures out work stuff. ;-)

Winifred Lebeda |

Doesn't help that Kesten is chaotic neutral. He has no problems chopping some people up when it comes to his already damaged honor. :)
Ouch, extreme opposite of Winifred's Lawful Neutral, no wonder they don't get along, though there may have been a bit of Chaos in Winifred bringing up the topic, it could also be seen as a test of the man's personality to see how he responds to confrontation however, but feel free to tack it up as a chaotic action against Winifred's Lawful alignment.

Rufus Fitzroi |

And yes, no one is beyond a group of 10 level 1's. They can always swarm and dogpile :)
Actually, plenty of individuals are beyond a group of 10 level 1's, first & foremost, a group of 20 level 1's. Which unless I miss my guess, is what he has for back-up.
& Dendarial, don't worry, Winifred is definitely getting that spanking...

GM Captain Trips |

Actually, he's concerned with the honor element. But, if the party jumps in, it does become something completely different. And yes, although no one has asked, those soldiers up on the walls have taken a very close interest in what is going on. Which may very well be why he has chosen to act.
One cannot be shamed in front of those you wish to command.

Rufus Fitzroi |

I'm reminded of a button I once picked up at a Con.
'And before you get all Happy, be informed your punishment will not include pain or sex.'

Actually Den did ask...

GM Captain Trips |

You know, its not often I will do this, but I'm very happy with the way things have been running so far. We started on June 21st, so we are just a week or so path our one month mark, and things have continued to go strong. I am very happy with the ones that ended up being chosen out of the horde that applied. You have each impressed me and made the campaign run well, and added a bit of fun as well.
With that, I'd like to direct you to a Kingmaker campaign that started a few days before ours, one I think Brom even applied for. Players like each of you are why we are where we are, and this campaign, well, I'll let the link speak for itself.
Black Tom's Kingmaker Campaign
So from me, to each of you, thank you. I couldn't be happier.
Now, on with the killing! :)

GM Captain Trips |

@Cappi - The coffer was unlocked, it contained some coins. So no disable needed.
Items of value:
a freshwater pearl - 25gp
a lapis lazuli - 10gp
a piece of malachite - 4gp
two turquoise stones - 5gp each
a pair of silver earrings - 50gp
a wooden music box - 25gp
three crates of furs and hides - 50gp each
a polished wooden case of eight bottles of potent greenish herbal liquor - 20gp per bottle
Everything else has a value of 50% of book list price.

Cappi Brightonspinner |

If you do so, be mindful of those of us in the hole, such as Cappi. The ring he has (possibly the errant wedding ring?) was worth more than would have been his share of the loot.

Rufus Fitzroi |

Would you re-post a link to the old loot before you do so, Castor? I'm not certain I have updated my stuff off of it.

Castor Antares |

Castor Antares |

Re: Previous loot split, also gemstones:
Do we sell the gemstones through Oleg, or do we need to wait until another occasion? The gemstones from last loot aren't sold yet.
What of the stag amulet from last time? We never did get around to taking care of that.
We've got an uncut blue tourmaline worth 25 gp that could be worth 50-75gp if cut, and a bloodstone worth 125+ gp, as well as an ambiguous "stag amulet".
I'll toss the new items of value in with the GP for now, pending more info.

Cappi Brightonspinner |

One of the gemstones would be worth quite a bit more if we could get it cut. Though I don't know how we would intend to do that :/ Cappi certainly isn't a gemcutter.

Castor Antares |

For now, going with the assumption that some people would take the gems as part of their "gp" portion for what they don't claim.
Like last time, remember that you can "trade in" your items by putting in a negative, but be careful what you trade in, because we're already quite close to how much stuff Oleg can afford to purchase unless people start claiming things.
Castor is putting his studded leather armor up for grabs assuming he can buy a chain shirt.

Dendarial the Ken Hunter |

Den recommended we keep the stag amulet in case we need to look like we are working for the Stag Lord.
As long as you take something out worth more, trading in an item should be a net plus for selling to Oleg. Remember that Den would like that MW studded leather if no one else needs it, and is trading in his regular studded leather.

I intend to be with this campaign until the bitter (or not so bitter end). And if I offend any with my RPing, please tell me. I tend to really get into the character and many times, THEY tell me what they want to do (hence, Karse's infatuation with Winifred). It goes without saying that Karse is my character, and not me. I'm actually a pretty nice guy (or at least, my wife and friends tell me so).

Castor Antares |

I have no issues with how you've been roleplaying up to now.
If no one ever broke into conflict, I'd be out a job.
(Before Kesten stood down, Castor was about to interpose himself between him and Karse and attempt to berate them both for infighting when there's so much more at stake.)
Now made public. Castor rolled badly on his craft(online document) check earlier.

Cappi Brightonspinner |

Some of the items such as the crate of furs, and the music box aren't listed on the loot document.
Cappi would be interested in having the music box, however, in spite of his current negative gp due to that ring. I'll post about it more in character.

Dendarial the Ken Hunter |

I can access it, just not modify it.
Oh and here is more loot to be sold that we drug back. Unless you found this already and added it into the gold total...
From our DM: "On the remaining bandits the party discovers 7 suits of leather armor, 5 short swords, 2 short bows, a total of 38 arrows split between two quivers, and two daggers. They also find 48gp, 92sp, and 132cp in coins between the bodies."
Pretty sure we had not included that anywhere. And do not forget to add in the reward of 500 gold, iirc.

Castor Antares |

Oh, missed that. I went by the tally you had posted.
I'll add that. I did add the 500.
You guys should be able to edit now. Fixed that issue, adding the other stuff.
We have more goods than what Oleg can afford to purchase, so I hope you guys have some trades in mind.

Brom Wolven |

Sorry for the absence, have my new working laptop at my new job (for the time being) and out of meetings/trainings enough to get a post in edgewise.
No offense taken by anyone's playing yet. Some characters are more abrasive than others, but not so much it's creating problems. Gooooooo Team!
