For those that haven't been tapped to enter, I will be bringing you in tomorrow. It is hell trying to get a group this large introduced without throwing you all into a room and saying, "So, you are in the tavern.."
I'm trying to do it creatively, but that means a few people will have to wait just a bit.
Karse, Winifred, Rufus, and Theod will be introduced tomorrow. The last member is already in his place :)

Fair enough, I have tomorrow off anyway.

Out of curiosity, what style guide are you referencing Castor?
Will Thatcher

I had been hoping my oily, trefoil leaf description would clue some people in, but Will has just had everyone set up camp in a giant patch of poison ivy.... The guy with no knowledge nature or survival should NOT be picking the camping spot... lol.
Brom Wolven
Oh yeah Castor, DH's guide is awesome. On post #2 on that thread is the other language example for non-mental communication. Just fyi. I suddenly feel very anal. hmm.

Uhm, you know what? I like the style guide better than my original plan. Unless our esteemed GM has a preference, I'll go with it.

Just for clarification, what aspects of the guide do you like better? I was actually thinking your suggested method was very much like the style guide.

I like the idea of using foreign tongues for other languages, and also the use of subdued blue for OOC. It avoids filling the post with spoiler boxes.
Brom Wolven
Oh gotcha, the ooc text. Yeah I really like using google translate for other languages. That's where I got Krasa. It means Beauty in Czech. :)

Hey Captain, how do you want Survival checks to locate food handled? I know the plan is to be conscientious about rations and water, and finding food requires moving at half speed and time. From the PRD - "A single Survival check may represent activity over the course of hours or a full day".
So rather than make assumptions, how would you like survival checks to get along in the wild handled? Once a day and handwave the effort involved? Or everything stops while the survival effort is happening? Or some other method?
Thanks!
Brom Wolven
That does look awesome.

It depends on the location and situation. Generally we can handle them with a check, aided if desired to represent a group effort.
In the more dangerous wilds, hunting can sometimes cause you to be the hunted, and that part will play out differently. But unless otherwise notified, a single roll to represent a few hours of hunting/tracking will suffice.

Perfect, thanks for clarifying

Sending out the remaining boons to folks. They will already be updated on your sheets. Please note that not all boons are equal, but if yours seems more or less than another there is a good reason and it will play out in time. Some of them are not a part of the story and can just be taken as a "thank you" from me for writing such interesting and fun backgrounds.
We will also have a development in the gameplay thread, which might be hard to handle without everyone able to post at the same time, so be patient with folks as they check in, things might slow down just a bit.

*Brom comes back to his camp, breaking out an apple juice for breakfast, and a gas-station banana nut muffin. Setting them on a stump next to his camping chair and pulling out his Game Informer magazine, he sits heavily down with a grunt. He opens the magazine and starts reading, periodically peeking over the top to see if things are ready to proceed.*
Sweet boon Castor!

What's the heavy weapons guy from? I feel like I should know, but sadly I do not. :) I was imagining Santa from 'Rise of the Guardians' :)
Kurgan Grimtooth
I cant access roll20 while at work, so if someone will move me i would appriciate it..
Kurgan Grimtooth
Often, especially at lower levels it isn't that bad to go last.. Lets you know where your party stands and perhaps provides a better course of action than your intial plans..
Cappi Brightonspinner
GM Trips, I deleted a post from the game thread, as I posted an action as you were posting the update. It completed, however, following the update, so kind of jumped out of order.
Just explaining where there's a deleted post ;)
Castor Antares
Not so good to go late when you were planning to open with Bless. :P
Although, just now, rereading, I realise that it wouldn't stack with Will's song.
Note to self: Prepare a different spell after resting
On the other hand, I almost feel accomplished. Init bonus of +9 and I still manage to go last.
Brom Wolven
You will notice a shiny new link at the top of the messageboard. If you are one of the unfortunate folks to be camping in the woods right now, you should take heed and give it a look.
Well... Roll20 looks awesome!
For those unable to access Roll20, and if the GM will allow it, I've just copied and pasted the 'interesting' part of the Roll20 map into a Google Doc. I've also made the doc editable by anyone, so others can update the google doc if I'm out. GM, if you'd like me to cease and desist please let me know. This may not even work for those already blocked from Roll20, but I thought I'd try.
(obviously I can put this in the gameplay thread if desired)
Kurgan Grimtooth
Castor, Bless is a moral to hit and fear saves.. Inspire courage is Comp. bonus to hit/dam, and a moral to fear saves.. So the to hit will stack, the saves vs fear will not..
Thanks Brom for the google doc.. Kurgan would move to intercept a lackey on his turn.. Moving into a flank position if possible..
GM Captain Trips
Oh, and another thing for everyone, I need your stat blocks in your "Class/Level" section of your profile. It makes looking up saves, init, etc. MUCH easier for me rather than having to dig through each sheet.
If you need an example look how Castor did it. I'm fine with hiding it in a spoiler tag as well if you wish to do so.
Kurgan Grimtooth
Done as requested..
Castor Antares
I can't seem to figure out how one moves their character in the D20 map. (Or do we just say where we move in the post and Captain Trips is the only one who can move pieces?)
Re: Disappearance: Uh oh. Sounds like an invisibility potion to me, not that Castor would know.
Hm. Quick rule reminder because I forget: Can Spellcraft be used to identify the effect of a potion when you see it being drunk?
Kurgan Grimtooth
Now im no rules expert and obv w/e Trips says goes, but imo the ability to spellcraft a spell being cast comes from seeing the somatic and hearing the verbal portions of the spell.. Iding a potion with it requires you to hold it/examine it etc.. Drinking a potion doesn't meet any of these requirements so no iding a spell drank from a potion imo..
