Heheh too bad I wasn't here from the beginning but I just hope we don't lose our chance at gaining these ships now. =/
At least Wil soaked up several of her damaging spells prior to a fight breaking out. He's weakened considerably but at least our resources are intact. Meat shield ho! I can't wait to see what hell Azlain unleashes on her and her fighters. >.>;

Woo hoo nearly a year. this is the very first online table top role playing game I ever played and ever applied for. I had been playing pathfinder and table top gaming in person for only a few months before this game. this has been a wonderful experience for me.
I remember applying for this and being so excited when I got in. Can not believe that was a year ago. Yes I have absolutely enjoyed the parts I have been here for. It has been great, can not wait to see where the game takes us.
:( poor talon. Dead by traps and Gnoll's then dead again, surrounded by fighters during his first spell.

Azlain |

I'm going to need an explanation on this.
I was next to the witch. The duel started. She five foot adjusted away from Wil to cast a spell.
Now suddenly I'm far enough away that I can't reach her and attack?
This is the third time unexpected and undefined movement distances and hindrances have negated my attack. Frankly, it's making me kind of angry.

Wilaml Fmelvam |

I updated Suny's movement and mine on the map, hence why I included where I started and where I finished, since it was rough terrain it costed twice the standard movement and since i'm armored medium that ate up a lot of my movement over the naked Sea Elf lol!

Just returned from a two week business trip, so I have full bandwidth at home.
Wil's move is fine, although it will provoke a claw attack.
While disabled, you are limited to a single action.
Using acrobatics to avoid AoOs typically requires light or no armor, but I am not hardcore on that.
Anyway, Azlain has a single move action while disabled and, in difficult terrain, diagonals cost 15' of movement and 'straights' 10'. Moving at full speed adds ten to an acrobatics DC (10+opponents CMD).
Let me know how you want to do it.

Wilaml Fmelvam |

Sheesh we are not doing very well... Sorry Azlain, failed you there big time... :(
Suny check the map its posted in the game description up at the top of the page and you can modify it if you want to, I moved you last round up to the witch, our next round we may have her flanked. But Azlain is down so her 3 minions will be on us and quickly. >.>;

Wilaml Fmelvam |

In pathfinder you don't die until you reach you con score. Yours is 12 so you have 1 hp to go. >.>;
When a creature's hit points drop below 0, it becomes unconscious. When a creature's hit points reach a negative total equal to its Constitution score, it dies.

I feel bad, seems that my entangle spell is causing a lot lot more fuss than it is actually helping us. Sorry. Wanted to shut them down and stop them moving, meaning that we could take them on one by one. Turns out instead I might be responsible for a lot more than I had bargained for. Sorry
Talon

Its okay bud, all part of gaming at least this is a learning experience. :)
Lets see how well my taunt goes, and Wil does really mean it when he says he's taking the blade back. Although I wonder if I just killed that witch outright or not...
@Chainmail:
Wil's comment is mean;t to sound just as bad as it is worded, he doesn't like the fact the ganged up on the witch but for the most part the final blow was struck by a single man without flanking bonuses. Where it took all three of them to fell Azlain so his words carry every bit of scorn that the paladin is directing at the man with Azlain's blade. Good thing I have one smite evil left for the day. I am going to need it!
Good luck to everyone else as well! Hopefully Wil comes out of this alive...

Azlain |

Warning, angry rant ahead. Take with a grain of salt.
This was not a duel. This was a paladin, facing an enemy who was a known villain. This villain was pre-buffed with two spells and dropped a 4th level spell to open the fight.
There was no way he could have declined the duel. There was also no way he could have won. The outcome was predetermined. The only chance he had was for someone to break the rules.
Duels involve combatants that are relatively equal. A "duel" between a professional boxer and an angry child could not ever be said to be fair or honorable. No offense to Wil, but that's basically what happened here.
By my calculations the witch was somewhere around CR 6 or 7. A Third level party might be able to handle that, but not a single third level character.
Toss the Entangle in there (which hindered us more than them because higher level equals higher saves) and this was a disaster from round 1.
The witch proved herself capable of handling 3 of us at once. Add the pack of heavy-armored soldiers running around gang-beating one person at a time to death (which we couldn't escape due to entangle), and this was potentially a TPK. The only thing that saved us was luck.

Wilaml Fmelvam |

I totally agree with you Azlain, I realize that I was at a disadvantage from the start and was merely trying to whether the storm of spells until she ran out. In character Wil is beaten up about what has all occurred but he knew he had a small chance and all he could do was hope he could out last her strikes. Or die when she she struck with another devastating spell. Because as he stated if he lost he'd tell her what he knew.
So if he died the party had no obligation to tell her anything.
The challenge was originally for one of the fighters which one on one he would have had a chance to defeat one. But like you said when the Witch stepped up he had little choice but to duel her. Chainmail would be the only one who could say whether or not her spells were close to depleted. And despite the Entangle being a pain it did help us off and on.
Luck though was a huge factor~ =/ Lets hope we can take the last two guys with little issue

Suny |

So..how much to buy a 'mind fog' spell/scroll/wand?
I know the super dose philter of luurrve is about 3K.
Suny is not the sort of Elf one wants thinking about revenge. The poor victim will probably die of sugar overdose.

Chainmail |

The funny thing is Wil at fourth level was healing 4d6+ per turn using two LoHs, which I had never considered as a tactic, but could have exhausted her limited damage spells. With Smite Evil on his side, he would have had a challenging fight vs a level 5 caster built on offensive damage spells, mostly touch.
The buffs, especially a max roll for mirror image, made it difficult. And she did have a solid metamagic item but no familiar or bonded object. I do not consider spectral hand the go to third level spell, but it fit with the scary necromatic touch spell theme.
Anyway, the dwarves chose a similar path to yours.

Wilaml Fmelvam |

heheh If that necklace had affected Wil he could have healed 6d6 per turn with his LoH. xD But yeah that witch had me sweating bullets with the 21 damage spell she did because that was a save vs massive damage moment. which i'm thankful we don't do that variant... >.>;

Wilaml Fmelvam |

@Chainmail Are the other books off limits in the way of feats. I didn't now if Greater Mercy and Ultimate Mercy. We're going to be off limits or not and they would fit Wil's setup. Just trying to plan out his next couple of feats and those would definitely be fitting. :)

Chainmail |

Azlain is restored to full hp and he is cured of all diseases and inflictions. Scars that do not cause pain are not healed, scars that cause pain no longer cause pain, permanent wounds are healed. If applicable, lost limbs/digits are restored.
Azlain exchanges the Lady Ciedrel feat for the following:
Touched by Labelas Enoreth: Your existence is the result of intervention by the Elven god of time. You have an occasional indication of Labelas' feelings about a particular situation or person as if he were there. You gain +3 to all Will Saves. .

Azlain |

True, but I'm not sure Chainmail wants to deal with that.
In a normal pathfinder game I'd be taking some kind of Racial Heritage feat (aasamar, tengu, stryx, etc) to buy them. Earliest they are normally available is 5th I think.
Since 90% of my frustarations with this game so far have been related to movement, wings would be amazing.

Talon Moonwalker |
Obviously as Talon is dead I cannot really complain, but I would really hate to be buried with the weapon that killed me. He was always a bowman, and so to be buried with a sword seems to be rejecting that part of him, and especially a sword that butchered him.
Fear not though, I shall not come back to haunt you if you do bury me with a sword, but I just wanted to put it out there.
