Elorin incapicitated

Well bugger me I thought Elorin was just unconscious. >.<;;;; That sucks and she will be avenged!

There is one smoking example of her avengement on deck already. Squares will always be standard five by five unless otherwise specified.

f Elf bard/4. Init +2/Low-Light Vision/Perception +11/ AC16, T12: FF14/

Aw thank you, Avenge me!!!! lol

@CM if you do not want to use the luck of lady cedriel again and let her pass sit is ok by me. I can always (with your permission) make a new character. A diplomatic rogue for example.

I love Elorin so much dont get me wrong, but if she has to die then it is ok. She was a great diplomat but fairly useless in battle.

M Elf Wiz 9 Init +4/ HP 65/65// AC: 22 18/T:17/FF:14 - Percep: +11/ F 8/R 9/W 8 /CMB 4 - CMD 17

I love Elorin, too. We'll bring her back, if at all possible. She paved the way early on, and CM even said we were the only elves to get through that diplomatic nightmare. It was all her. Our Lady has to know that. She's got Derrick eating out of her hand, and none of us can replicate that.

No one expects her to be a great warrior. We've got tough guys who can handle that. Diplomacy and support. Good enough. Just show a little leg now and then for your fanboys around here. LOL!

You might want to consider toughness for your next feat, though...

f Elf bard/4. Init +2/Low-Light Vision/Perception +11/ AC16, T12: FF14/

lol Well legs I can do. ;P

Hey seltyn isn't your will save a +6? Or was the luck of the lady already added to your +3 save?

Just wondering as it would have made your roll higher. :)

Fanboys! Lol ;) jeez! Makes me wish I had held onto my gold lol but at least we have a decent down payment in the treasury for raising Elorin! :D

M Elf Wiz 9 Init +4/ HP 65/65// AC: 22 18/T:17/FF:14 - Percep: +11/ F 8/R 9/W 8 /CMB 4 - CMD 17

Seltyn has Wis 9, so it comes to +5 vs. enchantment. He had to roll high to have a hope, and he didn't.

The good news is that while he's effectively neutralized, the rest of us aren't, at least for now. He took one for the team.

f Elf bard/4. Init +2/Low-Light Vision/Perception +11/ AC16, T12: FF14/

:( It is sad that the elves have to pay to keep her here. I hope if it happens She can make it worth it.

She is my first Bard. Death at the hands of a species she tried to broker piece with would be very thematic and ironic.

M Elf Wiz 9 Init +4/ HP 65/65// AC: 22 18/T:17/FF:14 - Percep: +11/ F 8/R 9/W 8 /CMB 4 - CMD 17

I don't doubt that the Queen knows her value. We can't do much for her, but she's crucial to our goals, IMO. If we live through this, we'll get her back, hopefully sooner than later.

That goes for anyone else in our core group, too. As Seltyn knows, we're stretched thin, but worthy elves taking on missions like this are a little more important than most. If we don't get this done, it'll be a long time before any other elves can even try, and the whole race loses ground.

He does his best to plan ahead, but as we can see, the best laid plans of mice and elves can turn to $&@# in one round. That's no reason to give up. The gods themselves are watching.

They probably think it's funny...

No kidding Wil is literally running as quick as he can and hoping for the best. If only I had RANGED SMITE, Ranged Smite + Ballista = Uber smack to the face for old fish legs~

f Elf bard/4. Init +2/Low-Light Vision/Perception +11/ AC16, T12: FF14/

hmm ranged smite, i'm sure you would have to be a god to get something like that. I smite you from the heavens/other plane.

Hmm there is an idea,

Genuine question CM:

Whilst I am technically Dead ATM can I commune with a god (****of your choice****) to ask for help for my living friends? (I would be happy to roll play it)
and if it doesn't help, it does not help, I mean I am dead so I have nothing but time and a great love and caring for my friends, she would face her inner demons (Quit literally in her case 'in her back story') to save them.

Could make for interesting deal making and moral dilemma for her.

I should say she would be asking to keep them alive. She would not be asking to 'Win the fight' or anything as an unfair advantage like that.

@Elorin -- great idea. Make a short petition and add a Charisma check (1d20+Cha bonus)

Cool, are you choosing who to?

No, you get to choose.

f Elf bard/4. Init +2/Low-Light Vision/Perception +11/ AC16, T12: FF14/

Posted my prayer and roll, I put it in a spoiler so it does not interrupt the fight flow. I do not know if it would help but I had to try. Thank you for letting me try CM.

Funny thing is, is that smite evil can be used on any enemy within sight. It doesn't specify melee or ranged so theoretically I can use the ballista as my weapon of choice for smiting. That is if Chainmail allows it. Granted I can only do this once per day...

Lol.

No making deals with the devil now Elorin. :(

Good luck ;)

f Elf bard/4. Init +2/Low-Light Vision/Perception +11/ AC16, T12: FF14/

Lol She would if it would save you guys but I thought Wilaml the Paladin may take issue with that. She would save you all and get smited by you when/if she returned lol. may cause more political issues than her just dieing would.

PS with Elorin out of action for the moment, one shot is free to be used by anyone who wants to try. Perhaps Talon if he makes it back on to the ship.

I hope her prayer helps, It is all she can do whilst she is in limbo/afterlife.

Ah that would be cool, a smiting ballista V a Deep one.

Well if Chainmail doesn't have a houserule/is okay with what Smite Evil is setup with then I have a hell of a post setup for the smiting. That is if I can get a clear shot! ;D

As for Talon and Thalas, At least i'm rolling semi well for Talon, he isn't dead at least. >.>;;;;;

And Thalas is coming up next...

So yeah if Thalas or Talon are back, please jump in... Anytime... and yeah tried to keep you alive. Honestly I did!

Also the Thalas pick above just struck me as AWESOME for one of my visions of him. This is the focused Thalas with eyes as blue as a raging sea and a determined look that almost makes him look like he was chiseled from stone. :D

i'm also trying to portray them as best I can as well. Hopefully it is enjoyable. :D

Your turn, I think.

f Elf bard/4. Init +2/Low-Light Vision/Perception +11/ AC16, T12: FF14/

Hurray thank you Iomedae, you rule! and thank you CM for letting me try it you also Rule!!(but you get two exclamation marks becouse you're in charge. lol)

She shall say a thank you prayer once this is all over, be it when she is risen or after the fight and she is still in the afterlife.

Does Iomedae ask for anything exchange for the help? or would that be said after the battle?

So glad that even in death Elorin can try to help. :)

Good grief, people, I have like 31 new Discussion posts from you all! How am I supposed to catch up on all my games?!

PS: Chainmail, we were waiting (forever...) at a restaurant for food and when I thought my wife busy watching our son crawl around the floor, no sooner than I pulled my phone out of my pocket than I got the Stink Eye of Disapproval™. The phone went back and stayed there for two more days.

Getting a net 12 for stealth due to size was more impressive than I thought.

I'm too busy drowning to notice the monster!

Per +5, Low-Light Vision | HP 33/33 | AC 20, Touch 11, Flat 19 | F +4, R +2, W +10

Huh... a potential death by drowning in my second combat encounter. I find the idea hilariously ignominious. I nominate Azlain to receive all my worldly possessions, but he will have to first retrieve them from the ocean floor.

f Elf bard/4. Init +2/Low-Light Vision/Perception +11/ AC16, T12: FF14/

No don't drown Thalas!! you have one shot!! lol

f Elf bard/4. Init +2/Low-Light Vision/Perception +11/ AC16, T12: FF14/

hehe Joking lol dont drown!! some one save him and then, you know, everyone on board and haul ass away!!!!!

Per +5, Low-Light Vision | HP 33/33 | AC 20, Touch 11, Flat 19 | F +4, R +2, W +10

I'm sure Azlain can retrieve it from me; I don't like his chances if he tries to rescue me and take negatives to his Swim check for trying to carry me at the same time... we'd likely both drown, then. Unless the monster "rescues" us with its tentacles.

Ah. I thought I was doing a good thing by grabbing oneshot, I will feel like crap if Thalas drowns. :(

Iirc you can hold your breath for a number of round equal to your con before drowning. I may be wrong but... Yeah. :(

Per +5, Low-Light Vision | HP 33/33 | AC 20, Touch 11, Flat 19 | F +4, R +2, W +10

How it works is if you fail your Swim by 4, you can try to hold your breath. It's a base Constitution DC 10 check each round you hold your breath for up to twice your Con in number of rounds and the check increases by 1 for each round you attempt to continue holding your breath. The moment you fail the Con check, you're drowning and go to 0hp and unconcious. The round after, you go to -1hp and dying. The round after that is death. Trust me, I spent a good deal of time hoping it wouldn't be so quick!

Thalas is at full hp. AFTER THAT PERIOD OF TIME (2x CON), you make the CON checks. Thalas has sunk helplessly for one round. My simplified swimming system is you need a full round of swimming (making Swim check) for every round of sinking helplessly to get to the surface. You can't take 10 with an active threat in the water.

By the way, everyone but Talon and Seltyn were sleeping, so no armor should be on. Still, Thalas misses by 5 and sinks helplessly in the calm water (DC10).

HP 40/45, AC 21*, Fort +4, Ref +6, Will +8, ArcRes 2/8 Active Effects: Heightened Senses, Defending Bone (45), Extended Shield, Unseen Servant,

Was I able to get the rope into the water?

Azlain unfastened the rope so it is 'free' now, but then took Thalas scuba diving instead of tossing it.

OK, that's... kind of embarrassing to have missed that.

My first reading of produce flame, a first level druid spell, was it did (1d6+1) per level, not 1d6+(1xlevel). So at third level I thought it did 3d6+3.

We all have those moments.
