I heard from Kruely on fbook; he hasn't been online for a while; doing the single parent thing and moving to Canada thing; so he's busy and all...but he'll be back around some time.

Good to know he's OK and well and all, just busy.

Sorry about my lack of posting here - I just don't have the time and energy to keep up. My hours'll become more regular in a couple of weeks, and I'll try to get back in it then; until then, I suggest Myron should take a vacation of sorts. He's a pretty versatile fellow, so he's probably working in the professor's library by day and walking zombie patrol by night.

Apologies folks. I have just had a very busy week. It was presumably my vacation, but when you stay at home for vacation, odd things happen to your time. Add in a crushing case of writer's block and a writing project overdue and I am suffering. I promise next week to be more involved.

the other game the last fight just ended and they're parleying with the efreeti and the two wishes have been proffered to each party member.

I’m not trying to press for Nigel not to come with us, just thought it gives Pat the option if things are still a bit hectic for him right now.

We’ve had some health issues in my family too; my dad just got out of hospital on Thursday after having his thyroid removed, seemed to be doing pretty well when I saw him yesterday though.

Is he going to get the iodine ablation?

Not sure what the procedure involved beyond that it was surgery (has a nice 3cm slice along his throat). I think there is some follow up chemo and radiation treatment. He’s on calcium tablets in the short term and will need to stay on thyroxin from here on in.

right on....hope it all works out.

My wife had that a few years ago (just pre-katrina, man what a year!) :P

She was lucky, they removed the entire thyroid 'just in case' and discovered that was the right move. Follow up with an irradiated Iodine pill and Viola! :) (But balancing that thyroxin is a juggling act.) ;P

Best wishes for your dad! If his surgeon was as good as my wife's that scar will all but vanish before too long. :)

Hey all. Sorry about my absence, and I also feel that it is best that Nigel takes an extended vacation at this point. I am hopelessly behind in all my PbPs, and although I have my computer back, I am still finding little to no time at it. My schedule has filled up quite a bit, and I am going into work at a ridiculously early hour.

I notice there is a conflict about when I'm supposed to get my 'mystery spell', so I might have gotten it a level early, but I didn't use it, so no harm done.

She gets a bump to BAB, Fort save, and Reflex save; a new spell a day and a new spell known, and a new revelation. I selected Channeling - it's like a cleric's, but 2 fewer uses per day.

The character sheet will be updated shortly.

I'm not sure whether to make any update notes for Rholf or to just let him take care of that when he returns to being online.

Looking at feats for Larissa, I'm wondering about the Core feats that augment channeling even though she's just receiving that ability now. Increasing the DC against undead is tempting considering recent game experience and adding to the number of times she can use it (so she matches a cleric) isn't bad. So far, excluding people from a channel hasn't been an issue because most of our recent foes don't benefit from positive energy...

Thoughts? Good feats I've overlooking for my healing-oriented oracle?
