Arileth sends out her beautiful pattern, trying to capture the attention of all but strangely, only attracts the attention of Jag and the boar.
The two of them are now enthralled for the effect lasts as long as you speak or sing, to a maximum of 1 hour. Those enthralled by your words take no action while you speak or sing and for 1d3 rounds thereafter while they discuss the topic or performance. Those entering the area during the performance must also successfully save or become enthralled. The speech ends (but the 1d3-round delay still applies) if you lose concentration or do anything other than speak or sing.
In addition, if any member of the audience (read: any of the enemies) are harmed those two will be allowed another save. If either of them witnesses something they would object to who has 4 or more HD will immediately become hostile.

Sorry, was way more out of commission over the holiday than I thought I would be. I'm confused about who I can hit without breaking the enthrall. To keep things going, if I can hit any enemies without breaking it, I'll send a magic missile over...if I can't, I'll delay.

I think you list Ishingka as enthralled, but she isn't, right? She's under Suggestion to run away...
I suppose after this we'll be....veterans of psychic wars -plays cowbell-
GM Eddv |
Ishingka is both, with the Enthrall taking precedence I think. Enthrall honestly isn't meant to be used in combat so that should resolve itself soon enough.

The brambles are more than difficult terrain, the explicitly make movement out of them have double cost, short of a freedom of movement.
Thael Silverstep |
Thael skirts the entangling spell as he tries to get closer to his spell range.
double move, looks like some difficult terrain along the side of the spell, so I'm counting each square as 2 unless you tell me otherwise.

Ok that ill drop Ilka, thus ending the combat
potion of bear’s endurance,
scrolls of call animal (3),
scroll of flaming sphere,
wand of charm animal (10 charges)
wand of cure light wounds (12 charges),
wand of magic fang (22 charges);
From inside the tent you hear the feint muffled yells of a man.
When you go in to investigate you find an older man in his underclothes, and with only one arm, though the wound appears quite old.
Hali Silverforge |
do the boars poof out of existence of just turn and run?
"Ye call that a fight!" Hali shouts after the missing boars, shaking his head in disgust before turning to the sound in the tent.
let me know if you want the bear's endurance potion, Ishingka, otherwise Hali wants it. As party barbarian I think you get first dibs
Hali ducks into the tent. "Are ye alrigh' there? Can I help ya?"
this is the guy we were looking for, right?

GM Eddv |
Two of them poof. Poor Umber probably remains stuck in the entanglement if you really want to kill her.
The man struggles against his bonds and gives a few muffled shouts.
You were told that the old hermit who adventured with Wate Arwyll had only one arm, so probably
Hali Silverforge |
Hali removes the man's gag and then pulls out his battleaxe and uses it to carefully remove the man's bonds. "Are ye alright?"

Ishingka Thulkarian |
Ishingka appears, looking a little out of breath after sprinting over the hinterlands, and then sprinting back. Her face glowers and her tusks emerge as she speaks. "Which of you cowards did that to me?" she inquires of the unmoving combatants?
She takes the potion from Hali, criminally ashamed of fleeing while a dwarf did her work. "Urrr...thank you." she barely gets out.
After this she stands awkwardly with Thael and Hali, visibly fuming and trying to await the hermit's reply with some semblance of patience.
GM Eddv |
The old man looks with an almost wild look on his face Aye, I am Grev! Thanks for saving me from that piece of werk.
He picks himself up and begins to brush himself off Wanna come back to my flat? I can pay ye a bit if they didn't take all my stuff. Maybe read you some passages from my book?
Jag Koszonommonsk |
Jag and Ussur return about 10~15 minutes later or so.
"Guys? I don't think it's that big of a deal if the windows are open or not-", he cuts off, seeing the now-quiet battlefield.
"Okay, I'l bite. What just happened?"
Hali Silverforge |
are there any more homesteads?
Hali shakes his head. "No. We need ye to make yer way back to town with us."
-Posted with Wayfinder
GM Eddv |
No that was the last one
He shakes his head Bah, I'm fine. My and Wate got into more than 1 scrap like that one!
He looks seriously at Hali Sonny, I am not going anywhere but back to my home to work on my memoirs, you got that!
Tae |
"It's best for your own safety if you come to town for a little while... You can get a comfortable room and work on your memoirs there for a bit."
diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
GM Eddv |
he shakes Tae off and starts t owalk away This is my life's work. My memoir! People deserve to know what happened back then with Wate and I and the old gang! I have to work on it and I would prefer to do it someplace where I have all of my notes!
Tae |
"We'll help you transport your notes if that's what it takes to get you to come to town... you must understand the dangers of staying here. Getting slaughtered by marauding orcs will not get your memoirs finished or published... "
Thael Silverstep |
"We can at least escort you back to your home," Thael offers. "Perhaps your home will already have been attacked and they will leave it alone."
GM Eddv |
The one-armed man gestures emphatically at Thael Yes, yes come to my place and I'll show you my manuscript - I have been looking for feedback!
He drags you back to his ridiculously posh outpost where he begins to collect the pages of his manuscript.
He hands one to Thael and asks him to read it and tell him what he thinks.
“And then I pulled my sword out of the orc, and the blade made a terrible smacking noise as the orc cried, ‘Raaarggh!’ If my sword had a voice, it would have screamed right back at the orc, spitting the monster’s blood in his face.”
Thael also sees on the reverse of it a sketch - a sketch of Vegazi.
Hali Silverforge |
Hali reluctantly returns to the cabin. The man's writing compels him to sit down and ponder the metalwork on his warhammer.
-Posted with Wayfinder
Ishingka Thulkarian |
"...Grev...how did you come by this sketch? Do you know this orc?"
Ishingka furrows her brow. Friend or foe? Vegazi, I mean. She doesn't seem one for subterfuge. She keeps her thoughts private, but glances at Hali and Thael.
GM Eddv |
Grev looks surprised at your interest but seizes upon it.
Oh that one - that one's a great story actually. 10 years ago Wate and I got ourselves captured but these orc woman - we witnessed as she was beginning some sort of ritual sacrifice - with us as the sacrifice. Shortly before the ceremony was to begin this woman came and saved us. To thank her Wate gave her his ring, to prove she was a true friend to any who might doubt her. I'll never forget what enormous risks she took for us that day. She was this diaboloical woman's daughter, the only orc daughter of the bunch come to think of it. The rest were tieflings.
Ishingka Thulkarian |
Ishingka breathes out a sigh of relief. "We know her as well. We are aiding her, and the town. If there's any insight you can impart to us about her former 'mother'...we would be in your debt.". As usual, the bloodrager takes the human at his word.
Jag Koszonommonsk |
"Yeah, Veghazi's been great to us," Jag echoes.
Busy day, can't post much. Following along.
GM Eddv |
he nods as you speak about her You mean she's back? And in Aryll's Stead? Oh that's wonderful how did Wate and her's reunion go?
Ishingka Thulkarian |
Ishingka's face lowers, her tattoos seeming to droop. "We found Veghazi less than a fortnight ago, defending his body, Grev. He had been attacked, or they had, by devils and orcs. He was buried with honor. Grev...is your first name Adil? Or is there someone else with that name?"
