It is fun to read that I will say. Letting characters angst over decisions in book form can be certainly show a side to them that PbP makes harder to show.
Oh and Chingo, would I be correct to assume that there are no issues with Girian sending his letter about the bugbears and all that?

Rhialla Arken |

You're too kind. I'm glad you enjoyed the experiement that is my writing abilities.

Girian Lewyn |

Trying to figure out my response for the current gameplay post. Has this thing made any actions outside of looking at us?

Kevroth |

Were we supposed to be level three? Because if so I definitely forgot to level up.

Girian Lewyn |

The party at large is still level 2. We are about 100-ish exp off.
*glances to gameplay thread*
Not for much longer though.
As such Chingo had our new arrivals come in at level 3 so as to keep everyone on the same keel.
At least I think that is how it is working.

Magnes Coalbrow |

No worries, you coveted mastery of muskets will be arriving soon.
Though having to decide between deadly aim or Precise shot will not likely be the most fun.
EDIT: *Rolls eyes and the un-delicious human.*
Hope you are enjoying those trail rations.

Since most of my attacks hit touch AC, it is no contest: Deadly Aim, hands down.

Magnes Coalbrow |

Well if they were already dead when you found them...
Also the nonsense of such spells as Baleful polymorph for evil action "gotcha!" moments.

Girian Lewyn |

Short hand would be:
1. Found a group of Bugbears, Broken skull clan. They bear a connection to the cursed nation of Savaroth and their presence indicates the possibility of an alliance between the Behrug clan and the same.
It is highly unlikely a group of bugbear raiders would be able to set up a day outside of a major town in the Wyvernwaed without help. They were eating a Ghost bear tribeswoman so it is safe to assume they are not likely associated with them.
2. Please send someone to (Position of ruined fortress camp site) So I can send information back to all of you rapidly.
Not sure on anything else, unsure what the Red Griffon army would be loking for at this point. I'm assuming the actual base of the Behrug tribe so they can go crush them.

Rhialla Arken |

Any experience for feeding the Bherug?

Bhalur Blackthorn |

moment, how much -- xp do we have now? According to my old sheet, it should be 2496xp + 50 = 2546 now but isnt lvl 3 = 3300 xp? or I missed some exp gain at some point

Rhialla Arken |

The spoils link in my character heading is treasure and xp.
We just leveled up to level 3.

Magnes Coalbrow |

Great, I'd actually missed the EXP tab at the bottom and was searching for a good five minutes.
Magnes R Smurt.
Fortunately I only have to level Magnes as Girian is already level 3.

Rhialla Arken |

Sorry about that Magnes, I could have done better to explain that.

FYI if Rhialla hits a creature with her bow, she grants everyone within 10' the benefits of the precise shot feat.

so... I loose contact for like three months and I'm virtually replaced? how rude... not really. I'm just observing anyways. Heya everyone!!
I'm sorry for that one false alarm... but I can't keep in contact as much as I used to.
I could post perhaps once a day compared to what I used to...

Magnes Coalbrow |

Good to see you again Sabrick. TBH we are not progressing at a speed of much more than 1-2 posts a day per person anyway.
Precise shot is a nice thing to have. Might have to hang out near Rhialla in combat to benefit from that. Bombs are better when I'm not taking melee penaties.

Kevroth |

Actually, I changed my mind. A missed shot does no damage, no matter how big the damage bonus is. So precise shot it is. I can take rapid shot or deadly aim next level....

Rhialla Arken |

Yeah, I kind of wish the aura was a bit bigger than 10ft too.

Bhalur Blackthorn |

HP roll: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
+1 Fortitude
+2 KN:Religion
+1 Diplomatic
+1 Sense Motive
+1 Perception
+1 BaB
Gained: Evasion (successfull save-> no damage)
Somehow I forgot that whole leveling up. I have also ignored Shaer importance in the game but am unable to really contribute my pseudodragon to my writings but thinking how to come with that up. Also I realised that Bhalur is quite unique in this group when compared to others skill or statwise -> more like a normal human being outside that ridiculous healthy body heh

Magnes Coalbrow |

the shared Precision takes the range from the Aura of Courage class feature.
It might be cool to include a spell to boost it like the "Aura of greater courage" spell.
As to your damage woes Kevroth.
You might see if Chingo is cool with a Pheromone bullet of some variety.
If you can get a price reduction like normal ammo it would be worth busting out on heftier targets.
That or get Rhialla to use the arrows, though that would require explaining why.
The diplo-tank build you have going on is interesting to see happen Bhalur.
What you could consider, if you felt like having Shaer contribute would be the Aid another action.
As a familiar Shaer uses your BaB for her attacks and all an Aid another test needs is a DC10.
As she has a 5ft reach with her tail she can even flank like a normal humanoid.
Might be fun to try and find a way to access the Enlarge tail spell so she could Aid and flank with people at 10ft out.
Though a tail that long would definitely look weird on a Psudodragon.
I get one of the weirder abilities of chingo's alchemist this level.
Spontaneous casting of elemental magics. Ought to be interesting. I pick fire.
HP: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
7 skill points.
Likely what I have already laid out.
Though I might splurge and put a point into Craft:cooking just to ensure that Magnes can always cook up a storm.
+1 Bab, +1 will
Bombs now deal 2d6+int. Also I get 6/day. Which is nice.
Still need to pick a feat. don't get discoveries until L4 with this archetype so thats out of the running.
I'm thinking Steel soul, though power attack is always attractive to a two handed weapon user like myself.

Hey Sabrik. Good to hear from you again :)
If you'd like to get back in the game, I'm sure we could figure that out...
nah.. im fine. once again, i cant reply much. just see'in how ya'll are do'in.
if i join again, i'll only get a post perhaps every day or more...and to be honest, I want a different character :P
i have a druid concept i want to use, but never could.

Hawkren Hargraves |

HP: Max at 1st level, Half + 1 each additional level
I did Hawk's HP based on the above bit but I'm seeing folks rolling HPs... what's the practice?

Hawkren Hargraves |

Nice! So really no risk of a crappy roll, if you can take the best result. I like it! Let's see what happens.
2d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8
OK, so that would equal my Avg+1 - so a wash. :)
If we're doing that level by level though, I would take the roll (6) on the first die and then a 4 (avg+1) on the second since that beats my rolled 2 - right?

Sneak Peek at the Eredim Campaign Setting Guide featuring commissioned artwork of a bhakiri

Magnes Coalbrow |

Thats cool chingo. Looks like you are making steady progress.
@Hawkren.
you might find This archetype to be fun depending on how you play your rogue.
It would mean your classes play better with each other for the sake of status effects at least.

Chingo Chaplo |

I'm writing little stories at the beginning of each chapter of the guide. How is this for the chapter on races?
Coin Toss
“Look,” the bulky red-bearded dhouvarr Blimdin started, leaning on the shaft of his maul which he had placed head down on the ground. “There's no reason for you two to argue over that bag of worthless stones. Since you both are so bloody obsessed about it, I say we let its ownership be decided by coin toss. Hand me the pouch Vrash.” “Alright. Tell him to stop then.” The vuldraki Vrashakah, who was holding the pouch of colored marbles with one hand and keeping the krimir Nevis at bay with the other, replied, handing the pouch to Blimdin, who put it in his belt. Nevis stopped flailing his arms and Blimdin held up a Thalen. The silver coin which was clearly newly minted glistened in the light of the afternoon sun. “Heads or tails, Nevis?” “Heads.”
Blimdin then flipped the coin into the air with his right hand, caught it with the same hand as it falled back down, and then smacked the coin on the back of his left hand. The face of King Pelegar turned upwards. Nevis smiled and took the pouch, and Vrashakah cursed in the tongue of the vuldraki.

Ooof. That's an intriguing archetype with some serious synergy for my classes. Hmmm. I'm going to give it some serious thought... and see if Chingo wouldn't object to it. Thanks!
