Sneak Peek at the Eredim Campaign Setting Guide featuring commissioned artwork of a bhakiri
Cursory glance look good Chingo. I'll have more time to read over it tomorrow.

Look at this one instead then. The aasimar and akavali are placeholder images.

Yep. I have Infernal Healing which has been re-skinned as Flux Healing. It isn't the nice immediate fix of CLW, CMW, etc. but it works and I can cast it quite a few times.

Hey folks,
I'm going to be traveling on vacation from this Wednesday through 10-Oct. I'll try to check in and toss in some small posts but it may not be realistically possible. Feel free to 'bot or sideline my character as seems appropriate. Thanks!
Hawkren Hargraves |
Thanks!
With Arukara (the other member of Team Ghost Bear) also being out from the 27th-8th, it might be easiest for you to just narrate what happens to our small team during that time. I'd have no problem with that. Just an idea to mull over.

A shame we don't have anyone able to speak to vermin right now.
I'll bet the spider was just attempting to warn us that there is a family of fractal bears living just down the cavern from here.
Defintely not trying to eat us.
And then we went and exploded the spider to high heaven.
Hrmm... wonder if Magnes knows a way to make giant spider taste decent.

Gross, but I imagine you could fry it up. Everything tastes good fried.

Well, actually, the heads and bodies of tarantulas have a rather delicate white meat. I can imagine that the monstrous varieties in Eredim could easily have enough meat to prepare.
Magnes Coalbrow |
Parsed back there and it does look like you are correct.
So we can either say he misremembered or just ignore it. Whatever would sound more amusing for the story.
@Kevroth
I'm imagining Magnes just looking at this gigantic spider and trying to pick a piece to take. Then he has this massive leg/head/assorted body part sticking out of his backpack and Rhialla is giving him faces every time she catches sight of the grizzly thing.
Kevroth |
Kevroth likes new things, so he would be looking forward to trying the spider, but also tries to impress Rhialla, so is trying to keep his reaction hidden.
BTW, it is grisly. Grizzly is a really, really big bear. ;)
Magnes Coalbrow |
Hrmm... I guess it will just depend on how well magnes cooks the thing.
And yes you are of course correct.
@chingo do you think you could give bhallur the number of reflex/perception checks he will need to make to avoid becoming a roasted deer-cat?
It would mean when he gets on he can make the rolls and we can move forward once you get back to describe the smell of burning Bhakiri hair.
Bhalur Blackthorn |
Well, I never said explicitly that Bhalur would be going there immediately :P
It could BE that he was watching Rhialla "flying" magically there and was convinced about his own mortality and maybe let the "powerpuff" girl get the other lever too heh
Rhialla Arken |
Not to trivialize the traps Chingo had in place, but I suppose I could fly down the other and pull that lever too?
Magnes Coalbrow |
.
The challenge would have also been defeated by other extraordinary movement. EX: Climb speed.
Something magnes can access with an extract.
Also something many other races get.
That or something like a creature light enough to not trigger the trap, Phyllis as one idea.
Fly over and hang stuff on the lever until it pulls down.
Not that a flying Aasimar' isnt super potent. But there are other methods to trivialize a trap that just uses the floor as a trigger.
Arukara |
Remember I will be away on a trip from tomorrow 27th September to 3rd October. First and last nights of the trip, definitely no internet access, remaining nights I have no idea if I have internet. So during this period please manage Arukara, if it seems I not responding.
Rhialla Arken |
Continue enjoying your trip Arukara.
@Magnes: So yes?
Girian Lewyn |
Hey if Bhallur doesn't want to risk becoming roast deer-cat then thats up to him. Though I might have to rib him some about it.
Sabrik |
being roasted isn't necessarily a fun thing... take it from a fellow bhakiri
Magnes Coalbrow |
Neither is getting eaten by things or stabbed. Yeah.. lots of stabbing.
Fortunately burnination is a temporary state in pathfinder unless you get charcoaled all the way down to dead.
Just slap a big ol' band-aid on that there third degree burn, sloughing skin and keep on trucking.
Sabrik |
yes, all very unpleasant... unless your immune to fire. then the only problem is acid or lightning
burned to the point of scaring and your charisma is still 20!
heck, that type of handsome just can't be stopped!

Not when you realize that with the power of magic and/or science you are a walking, talking slab of Bacon. None can deny its raw appeal, charisma be damned I have bacon
Sabrik |
bacon... i'd see that, yes. unless you come upon a vegetarian or a hater of bacon. then your screwed anyways
Sabrik |
I miss how fun it is to talk with you guys.
I would join again, but I've become the DM for a party IRL.
I have to keep them satisfied with my 30 lbs of 3.5 D&D books.
most of which is supplemental.
Magnes Coalbrow |
Heh. Drop me a line if you are ever in need of some off the wall things to do to your players. Some of the splat book combinations for 3.5 can result in some strange and amusing baddies.
Best of luck in your mission though, I'm running a RL group through Carrion Crown right now and they are having an absolute blast with it.
More work than I expected when I signed on to do it though.
Magnes Coalbrow |
@Bhalur
If you could wait until they come up on us to attack that would be great. Magnes currently has a 15ft reach with his longspear and combat reflexes. I can land something on all of them, Bhalur has seen magnes fight before so you'd know reach is his thing.
I will write up my action and girian's shortly but magnes hopes to get a pile of attacks from charging lizards.
EDIT: well it looks like I misread and that is exactly what you are doing. Nothing to see here.

Super cool commissioned Eredim worldmap incoming :)
This is the unfinished version.
Looks great! Is there a map with a scale?
Magnes Coalbrow |
That is also a great map.
Hrmm.. are Graloc edible? If this is unknown I suspect Magnes would try.
I think I'm going to have to see if there are any third party options that involve eating monsters for benefits. This trope is just too amusing.
Rhialla Arken |
Did we determine if Gralocs were sapient?
Magnes Coalbrow |
I think Magnes's decision will hinge on them being tasty or not.
However the image I'm getting for them is something like a Utah raptor or other dino in that vein. No descriptions of weapons or anything more of strategy than a headlong rush.
And if they turn out to have minds then we can offer the next group some spider leg and perhaps avoid a conflict.
Arukara |
Tomorrow 6th to 8th October I will not have internet where I be staying, while doing some community activities in another city.
Nice looking map.
Only need to have a simple map for now, of the zoomed in area where the adventure is taken place, marking off the villages, temple, Shaman's Path, and other locations mentioned so far in the adventure.
Magnes Coalbrow |
I wouldn't be against having more foes in battle. The Gralocs were just in for a bad time regardless though.
I'm having a fun time making Magnes into the monster chef.
Mechanics wise pathfinder rewards offense though, so combats will be short unless you artificially inflate the time it takes to kill monsters.
Combat slows down play by post games by quite a lot. I'm entirely happy to keep the number of combat rounds low just so we can get back to posting RP stuff at whatever rate people want to post at, rather than needing to wait on everybody for a round to finish.
Even at a good clip you can't expect more than one possibly two combat posts from players each day.
At least that's what I've seen in my time doing PbP.
