Stepping back from the fracas, Seldon fires two arrows in rapid succession at one of the worker/priests. Despite the man's warding spell, both arrows strike him, dropping him to the ground, bleeding profusely.
The last cultist rushes to the aid of his brethren, reaching for Seldon in an attempt to give him the bleeds also. "Father Blackfingers take you, heretic priest," whispers the attacker in Seldon's ear as the touch opens a bleeding wound on his neck.
Cultist 4, melee touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Bleed Dmg, Seldon: 1d6 ⇒ 1
With the other cultist down, Barek and Mirela are finally up.

Hearing the sounds behind him, Barek finally turns back to the room seeing the cultist attacking Tunder and Seldon. His eyes widen and he rushes back into the room, shifting into his fighting stance. He swings his fist at the man's head. "Hands off him, a&&@+*#!"

Wow, that guy probably is going to have a very bad day. If the crit succeeds (and he survives), he is shaken.

"Heretic? Why, I've been called a lot of things, but..." Seldon stops, with a wince, as Barek collides with the cultist with a sickening crunch. "... well. That's certainly one approach to theological debate." Seldon says, checking the man's vitals.

Selena just stands in awe of Barek joining the fray as he delivers a haymaker that lifts the working off his feet and sends him across the room. Seldon, with that convincing of an argument I would not debate theology with Barek.

Startled by the mundane workmen turned divine killers, Barek is slow to react, but when he sees on of the cultists lay hands on his ally, the pugilist responds with a kidney punch that shatters the cultist's spine, killing him outright instantly.
Will wait on an action from Miri to close out the round.

Mirela Malvo |

Springing into action, Mirela makes for the door and slips Selena and Barek in a bid to finish what they started. Rapier drawn, Mirela strikes at the last worker standing.

The remaining worker, knowing the odds are long, continues the fight with the determination of the zealous or the insane. He steps back and around Tunder and attacks the dwarf once again. As he moves, a copycat double appears next to the cultist, intertwining and weaving so that you can no longer tell which is real and which the illusion. His chop is also successful, scratching Tunder for 2 more hp dmg.
All the group is up now. Note the bleed damage below for Seldon and Tunder. I show the dwarf at 47/72 now.

With only a single opponent left Selena conserves some of her magical power in favor of letting Barek, Tunder and Miri have a go first. If they do not seem able to drop the last worker then Selena will elvel her staff and fire a force bolt.

Though the blows from Tunder are warded by the divine spell cast early on, the fists of Barek and arrows from Seldon make it through the final foe's defenses, and he falls with the blood pooling in the sawdust around him.

Defeating this common laborers earns you 600xp per player. This brings you cumulative total to 17427/23000 for level 7 or about 30% of the way to next milestone.

Barek walks over to one of the men and pulls the hideous mask off his face. "What the heck is this supposed to be?" He hands the mask to Seldon and rolls the man over on his back to look for any clues.

Before checking the mask or anything else that might be magical selena hurries over to Bark and Tunder asking, Are you alright? I saw them touch you causing you to start bleeding. I hope that it has stopped.
Seldon are you able to help them?
Only once they are taken care of does Selena then stop to check the room for magical auras.

The bleeding does continue until a healing of some sort transpires. Seldon will have to burn something to stop it. I have Tunder at 61/72 now.
Each of the dead cultists has a similar red, leering mask near where they fell. Additionally, each carries a MW war-razor, a hand crossbow with 10 bolts, a suit of leather armor, and total of 80gp in coins.
The sound of the working mill continues even as these "workers" lay pooling in their own blood. It's apparent others are still at work around the mill.
Do you take any of this gear besides the coins, which I have added to the loot tracker.

Ripping some strips of cloth Selena tries to help staunch the wounds until Seldon is able to work his magics.
Heal check 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Leave the armor as it is too heavy and burdensome. The war razors though would fetch a nice price if one of you men are able to carry them without it hindering you too much.
Once the bleeding is taken care of then Selena will head to the stairs and prepare to head upstairs to face the next level of the mill.

Touched by Selena's concern, Seldon allows her to bind his wound, only making slight adjustments to better staunch the bleeding. He'll gather the war-razors and the coins. "It seems we have not yet been overheard. Let us press on, quickly."
Bless, bear's endurance and bull's strength should still have a few minutes remaining.

Barek picks up a couple of the war razors. "Yeah, they might fetch a good price. We shouldn't tell anyone they were owned by a murderous cult though."
He nods at Tunder as Seldon is wrapping his wound. "Let's see what's on the next floor. Something tells me we'll eventually find who leads this cult."
