Bug Off!
Karmid and Xarmas finish of the remaining ticks leaving Ro covered in a substantial amount of blood. The horses seem spooked by the affair but manage to settle down while Ro cleans herself off as best she can.
Combat Over!
Lakeside - Lia, Windsight, Gwydd, Drasven, and Fran
Aldern smiles, "Thank you for coming and bringing your friends. Who it seems saved my life yet again! I think I am a better merchant than warrior".
The group carries the picnic and the foraged fruits and vegetables back towards the spot where the horses were left and come out to the edge of the woods to a gruesome sight.
All Together Now!
Six large bugs, ticks by the look of them, lay scattered in various states of annihilation, it is not tough to tell which ones Xarmas slew (splattered) versus those that Xarmas slew (dented skulls) it seems that Ro has fallen behind on her body count as none have any small piercings wounds at all...
Ro is covered in blood despite what appears to be an effort to get it off, the question is whether any of it is hers or the bugs.
Aldern looks shocked, "By the Gods, are those actually giant ticks!"
Karmid Groundbreaker
Karmid stops trying to scrape Angela clean, and looks at Aldern seriously.
"Well they ain't your mother's kittens...are they?"
Karmid stalks off towards his horse talking to himself.
"I tell them there are giant ticks in the Tickwood, and everybody thinks I'm joking. By Gozreh's Stones! Why would I make something like that up?"
Mounting quickly, Karmid sits gazing off into nothing, waiting for the others to clean up the mess and mount up with their prizes.
Windsight
Lakeside
Windsight gives a brief smile to the noble. "It is not a bad thing to be such. If more people were better merchants than they were warriors, then we might have fewer wars and invasions." Once again he takes the 'tail-end' position, keeping his bow ready for 'business' ... but aware that he's getting terribly low on arrows.
Horse-side
When they arrive and Aldern expresses his amazement - and Karmid huffs off - Windsight considers the arthropodal carnage and then moves over to one of the two slain swine - the arrow-stuck one, which Karmid had transported back to the horses - and, laying his bow aside, hefts the hefty thing and lugs it over to the other (and damn, CLEARLY much stronger!!) Shoanti. "Forgot this," he says laconically, and hefts it up to either in front of Karmid, or behind him, as he prefers. Pausing there, he looks back at the slain ticks, then gives Karmid a slap on the thigh. "Good work," he adds, before heading for his own horse, a mild-tempered dappled grey with a smooth stride and intelligent look about its eyes.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
I'd say that does it ...
Karmid Groundbreaker
Karmid startles at the older Shoanti's sudden touch and grabs the boar. The man had been fairly stand-offish of him for a while,
which Karmid has been used to with most tribal Shoanti. They really embody the 'strong-but-silent' type in most cases, but
especially when in Varisian 'civilization.' Maybe he was finally making headway as a Shoanti?
Shaking his head in wonderment, Karmid turns his horse's head towards the road, and starts it with a slow walk towards town.
Drasven Hammers
Drasven takes in the sight and begins to chuckle which becomes a belly aching full blown laughter. His deep but rich laughs carries throughout the woods as he shakes his head, guiding his horse towards the town itself.
"Boars ain't enough, you had to go find some ticks to have fun with. Well now if any of you are hurt, I suppose I can provide healing by my Patron's blessing."
Rojava Brishen
The battle with the ticks ends finding Rojava with mixed feelings and and a fair amount of pain.
That didn't go at all like I figured it would. But alive is always better than dead so I have to say it turned out pretty well.
Ro sticks her rapier into the ground, not exactly a best practice in the field of blade maintenance, but she really wants to deal with those tick bites. She casts a quick healing spell to staunch the wounds on her leg and forearm.
CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
After the wounds have healed over and the pain relents, she moves on to the next pressing problem. She's wearing a goodly amount of a tick's insides. A second quick casting, this time of Prestidigitation cleans that up nicely enough.
What's the saying? Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes the bear eats you... Sounds almost right except that Karmid and Xarmas had been here to to do some eating too. The truth is Rojava is not unused to things not quite going like she thought they would. Sometimes it was for the better, sometimes for the worse. The bothersome things is that Ro is used to things not going quite right resulting in minor setbacks or embarrassments: the song actually sucks, the joke didn't quite come off, the stunt backfires. This was different. You don't hardly get a second chance if a mortal fight goes bad. And since something eventually goes badly for everyone, she has to conclude that anyone who does very much of this sort of thing winds up dead sooner or later. This is an excellent reason to be a singer.
Rojava pulls her rapier out of the ground, cleans off the tip, and puts it away. She sees that Karmid still seems keyed up, even if he's now back down to a sane size.
I'll have to tell him thanks, but I think that can wait until later when he seems a little more grounded. Unless he decides to throw some attitude, then forget about it. She gives Xarmas a pat on the back and a "Thanks for the help." along with a rueful smile.
Francesca Brishen
Fran arrives along with the rest to the clearing with the horses, and notices the mess of squashed large ticks...
Then sees her sister half-covered by insect juice, bursting laughing right as it was getting removed by magic.
"Well, I don't know what you guys were up to while we were away, but Ro, you looked positively ravishing there. I hope you didn't get any of that on the food we brought back"
She snickers a little under her breath while hauling the other two packs full of berries and herbs, and strapping them to the back of the horses, securing it tightly so nothing spills mid-travel.
Xarmas Misinirith
Xarmas smiled a rueful smile at Ro.
"I'm just glad we were here to help. Karmid, thankfully, isn't all talk. Us girls need to stick together, yeah?"
She begins cleaning her quarterstaff, and checking the woods for cracks.
She sings softly to herself, after removing her outer layer of clothing. She slowly pours some water over her clothing, and gently rings the blood and water out of her clothing.
He dark-skinned muscular body bears countless scars of varying sizes. Once she has cleaned her clothing, she dons the outer layer, and stands.
"Well, I'm glad everyone is caught up!" She waves, with a toothy smile on her face.
Gwyddym Soarsong
Gwyd smiles a bit at the sight of the gut-splashed Godtouched. Well, it certainly looks like you all had a fair bit of fun while we were gone! Looking over at Aldern and his response to the lifeless carcasses of the ticks, he laughed quietly. Well, yes, Aldern they are! This isn't the Sheepwood after all.
Lia Tani
Lia smiles when Aldern says his thanks:"Silly you, I wouldn't have agreed to come here if something would have happened to you!", pausing for a moment to give him a quick hug, "Also, the people were so happy about the feast which helped them forget so it was a great idea. Wait, no, the people will be happy about it!", she laughs, then falls in with the others returning to the horses.
Rojava Brishen
"Well, I don't know what you guys were up to while we were away, but Ro, you looked positively ravishing there. I hope you didn't get any of that on the food we brought."
Rojava sticks out her tongue at her sister. "Of course I do. The stuff is fine. I dropped it at the first sign of trouble."
Rojava Brishen
Xarmas smiled a rueful smile at Ro.
"I'm just glad we were here to help. Karmid, thankfully, isn't all talk. Us girls need to stick together, yeah?"
"Ha! You bet!"
Ro notices the many scars on Xarmas, and makes a mental note to to inquire about them if the time ever seems right.
Watching Xarmas cleaning her clothes, Rojava wiggles her fingers and says "Just for future reference, I can take care of that for you quick and dry if you like."

Sandpoint - Late Afternoon
The ride back to Sandpoint is uneventful filled with playful banter between the Godtouched.
As the group rides through town to the Dragon Aldern calls out to the townsfolk you pass letting them now this bountiful harvest is for all.
As you open the doors to the Dragon Ameiko looks up from the conversation she was having with Talene and waves, "Here they are now and they actually caught something besides a few tick bites!"
The patrons in the bar, most locals though there are a few travelers there as well cheer the return of the group. Maybe they are cheering a free meal, either way it's nice to get a round of applause!
Aldern smiles, "Indeed, two somethings. Have you a spit to roast two pigs?"
Ameiko laughs, "If I don't, I'll damn well build one!" Ameiko starts ordering her staff, all three of them, to begin the preparations for the roast.
Does anyone want to stop anywhere first or shall we proceed to the roast?
Talene Minly
Talene approaches Lia, "Sweetie, what the hell did you put in my drink last night!?" She is half grinning half angry.
Karmid Groundbreaker
Karmid will run by the sheriff's office and check to see if they have found out anything new about the goblin's attack.
Drasven Hammers
Drasven heads back straight to the cathderal to wash up and see if anyone there needs a break.
Rojava Brishen
After a clean up and change of clothes Rojava will go to the Rusty Dragon to volunteer to help out with preparations. On the way she will stop by the locksmith's shop and Vernah's FIne Clothing to make sure Volioker Briskalbard and Rynshinn Povalli know about the food at the tavern later, inviting them to come.
Gwyddym Soarsong
Gwyd will head back to the Cathedral to chronicle the days events. Additionally, he's going to try to hammer out a quick happy song about the feast and the bounty of the Tickwood before heading out to the feast.
Francesca Brishen
Fran will stop by Ro's room at the cathedral where she had left her belongings (Until the sisters can start looking for a different habitation), to remove her armor, getting ready for the celebration, prefering to be a bit lighter on her feet for once.
It's a bit hard to keep balanced when drunk and wearing 50 pounds of armor.
She then heads back to the rusty dragon to join the festivities, keeping only a dagger at her belt, just in case.
At arriving at the dragon, she offers her help in the kitchen, having had a few ideas of what to do with all that foraging on the way back.
She was already salivating thinking of that blackberry & red wine with herbs coulis she was thinking of dressing the pork on each plate with.
Xarmas Misinirith
Xarmas disappears for most of an hour, to keep up her exercise regimen. She sharpens her various knives, and says her midday prayers. Lastly, she changes into clean clothing, and then sets back out in pursuit of her friends.
Lia Tani
Lia seems surprised: "Why, Talene, I never put anything in your drink. I just ordered you something. With all that happened yesterday, I thought you wanted something a bit...stronger? I am sorry you could not come poke boars with us, but if your belly is fine again, do come to the Rusty Dragon later. Ro and her Sister found berries and mushrooms, and most of those are not toxic, only just poisonous enough to send you on a journey in your mind! Where's Kira? I actually came back to fetch her..."
DMD
Sandpoint
The sheriff has no new information or leads as to where the goblins came from or who was behind the attack though he believes, especially in light of the theft from the mausoleum that it was no random attack.
Drasven finds that all who were at the Cathedral have recovered, all who can get well have from the ministrations of the senior clergy and Talene (once she felt better).
Ro finds Kira at Vernah's and leaves her there still deciding between four different dresses, down from the eight she has been looking at for the past hour - significant progress!
Talene tells Lia that Kira is at the store trying on new dresses for the party tonight.
Windsight keeps an eye on Aldern as he stays at the Dragon to assist with the preparation.
As everyone attends to their duties, cleaning up, sharpening knives or their minds with further prose, night falls and the celebration begins...
Rojava Brishen
Seeing as there's a customer about, Rojava offers her opinion on Kira's dress choices, favoring the one that best matches her complexion and is least ornate. She tells Kira that she will see her later, and adds to Rynshinn that she should come as well if she would like.
With that, and the locksmith notified, she goes over to help with whatever needs to be done to get ready at the Rusty Dragon.

Sandpoint - the Rusty Dragon Pig Roast - Early Evening
You each arrive at the Dragon separately from your various chores. Some are early enough to prep but all can smell the aroma as they draw close. It is unbelievable - smoke and spice and the succulent smell of sizzling meat.
The Dragon is so packed that townsfolk are bringing their own tables and chairs to set up outside. Many have even brought their own dishes, it's as if the town has a second chance at the Swallowtail Festival and none are going to pass it up!
Indeed, it seems the whole city has turned out, and the attitude here is even more jubilant than any of you could have expected in light of the tragedy that took place just the day before.
Ameiko is overseeing the final steps of preparation and Lord Foxglove and the Mayor are chatting nearby. Despite its size, the crowd parts to let Father Zantus and the senior clergy through. People clap and cheer and shout praises and thank yous to each of those present who not only saved many in the city but brought back this bountiful feast!
Each of the denominations say a brief prayer over the two large boar that the God Touched brought back this day leading to another rousing cheer for you all.
Aldern then climbs up on a table and signals for quiet. It takes a minute for quiet to come as a round of cheers and applause goes erupts for the young nobleman. When some semblance of quiet does settle in he calls out, "Thank you people of Sandpoint! It's truly an honor to celebrate with you all today. While the Foxgloves are counted among the nobility of Magnimar rather than Sandpoint you have welcomed me as one of your own and I thank you for your hospitality. And I thank Mayor Deverin and Ameiko, for allowing us to tear up the grounds in front of the Dragon to make this feast possible. Now, many of you know my reputation as a hunter but I can't take credit for this alone. Your Gods and their marked servants went with me - and together we were able to find and take down not just one but two of the famous Tickwood Boar!"
Another round of cheers erupts, when it dies down he continues, "We must be sure also to thank Ameiko for preparing the boar for us, along with a few other dishes I've sponsored with the foods gathered by my new friends the chosen of the Gods! Indeed people of Sandpoint, thank yourselves for recognizing that this is a day to celebrate life even in the midst of death for each of you have contributed, a seat, or a table, or a dish. A great and noble city Magnimar may be but the community forged here has bonds that such a place could never understand much less duplicate!"
Aldern can barely get off the table for all the people shaking his hand and clapping his back. The moment he finishes speaking the buzz of the crowd breaks out once more, this time accompanied by the rhythmic chopping of meat cleavers and the clacking of wooden plates as Ameiko and her helpers begin the monumental task of feeding the throngs the Boar.
Alright, some RP at this newest Feast seems in order!
Karmid Groundbreaker
Karmid will appear will appear at the feast, cleaned and groomed, moving to head of the food line rubbing his hands together vigorously. He is still wearing his armor, and has Angela strapped to his back...just in case.
"Ameiko! You have done it again! Excellent looking feast here. Did you do your foreign cooking on the boars again, and spice them up like I like it?"
Rojava Brishen
When she finds a moment when it's possible to do it in confidence, Rojava comments to Talene with a grin:
"I'm glad you survived last night Talene, you were in terrible shape when we left here. You doing alright now?"
Then more seriously:
"You know, I think we were too harsh on Aldern last night. He really is a very decent guy. He didn't do a single thing untoward with Lia today, but did risk his life for her. He's generous too. I don't have much use for nobles, but he's alright by me."
As the food and the crowd now both seem to be ready, Rojava goes to help with serving it out. That's will probably be the choke point for this celebration until most everyone has a plate in hand. And it's also a good way to survey who showed up.
Rojava Brishen
Rojava frowns at Karmid.
"Manners Karmid. No cutting. The line starts back over there."
Ro jabs a thumb back down toward where people are lining up.
Karmid Groundbreaker
"Ahhh Ro! Come-on! Are we not the ferocious hunters that provided this feast? Anyway, I'm not cutting in line...I'm
simply taking the most expedient direction to the food! It's all about perspective!"
Karmid stops suddenly, smiles, and winks at Ro.
"I'm not 'Ticking' you off am I?"
Windsight
Though much of his time is spent at the Rusty Dragon keeping an eye on Foxglove - despite Aldern's enthusiasm for the Godtouched, Windsight has a continued low-level distrust of the hereditary nobility which is showing its ugly head now, which Aldern's clear atypical enthusiasm is perhaps exacerbating - Windsight spends some time off and on back in his quarters, working on building a handful of arrows. He is getting uncomfortably low in the ammunition department.
Once it nears time for the feast, though, he filches some of the unshelled nuts and fresh berries brought back by the foragers, then claims a table for the other Godtouched to gather at, and begins to wait out the majority of the line. Watching Karmid line-jump and Rojava call him on it, he smiles slightly and throws a walnut at the big guy. Though the thing sails past and plonks against the now-roasted boar, it'll hopefully drag the other Shoanti's attention away from trying to bully his way in. Without a word, Windsight merely points at one of the other chairs around his chosen table.
The disciplined, scalp-locked Shoanti looks to have let his hair down (so to speak) at the moment; though his unstrung bow is leaning against the table and his eyes are as distant as ever, he is actually slouching in his chair and looking as relaxed and casual as he can get.
Rojava Brishen
The corners of Rojava's mouth almost, maybe tick upward for a split-second at Karmid's tick remark. But, she holds her expression.
"You were special and clever this morning. Now you're just another hungry plate seeker."
Ro points to where the line forms again.
See? I can do that too :p
Drasven Hammers
Back at the temple, Drasven is heartened to learn that everyone is back to full health and goes about gathering everybody at the temple to head to the Rusty Dragon for the feast. Persuading everyone to do so on the pretext that the town needs such to heal the inner soul as well.
He'll come dressed plainly but with his crossbow at his side. If asked his reply is simple.
"Me first weapon and it has never left my side since saving my life."
Making sure that the line holds firm, he'll help in directing it though he doesn't neglect to feast well himself, helping himself to platters of roasted boar, nuts and fruits including tankards of ale.
Karmid Groundbreaker
Smiling again, Karmid waggles his eyebrows at Ro and roars to the crowd.
"Hear that everybody! I was clever and special! So clever and special I h ave to wait my turn like everybody else. Soooo...I'm just going to go sit with my fellow Shoanti over here at the adult's table and wait for my chance!"
Karmid grabs some bread before Ro can stop him, and shuffles over to the chair indicated by the Windsight.
"Thanks for the nut, I was starting to wonder how I was going to get out of that situation without losing face. These people look up to me you know. You see I'm kinda tall..."
Windsight
"Mmm-hmm," replies the older clan-kin, a slight smile crooking up one corner of his mouth. He sorts through the handful of nuts, then skitters one over to Karmid. "What we do in life echoes in eternity; think about death, and remember that you too are only a man." This is perhaps Shoanti thought mixed with that of the Tian philosophers; it's held Windsight in good stead, however.
Lia Tani
_______
Earlier
_______
Having learned Kira's location, Lia heads to the shop after dropping off her crossbow at the Cathedral. Helping her roommate try on and eventually pick a dress, Lia tells her all that had happened today, and what kinds of bounty they managed to bring back.
While Kira instinctively attempts to tease Lia about Aldern, she quickly gives up, when she figures it's only half the fun without an Audience that understands what one is doing.
When Lia mentions the mushrooms found, Kira's smile broadens:"That kind of mushroom, too, hu? We should try and liberate some before Ameiko throws them away. Surely would be fun seeing the world with your eyes for a while!", and with a package containing a new dress, the two girls are off to the Rusty Dragons, hours before the main event begins.
_______
Evening
_______
Having learned that the Father and many other officials would attend, they decided to postpone their experiment with hallucinogens to a later time or day. Instead, they arrive at the Dragon, casually chatting about diverse things, Lia in her all-too-familiar white dress(no shoes, though - but still the pigtails), Kira in her head-turning new outfit.
When they take their place at the end of the line, they are surprised to find that quite a lot of people usher them forward...it just was the Swallowtail Festival, and with Flutter always with her, Lia was well known in Sandpoint even if she usually minded her own things.
Quite quickly, they are at the head of the line and take their plates, then sit down at the table Windsight reserved for the Godtouched and other assorted members of the Cathedral.
When Aldern did his little speech and returns to his seat, Lia stops him, looking up at him cocking her head slightly to the side: "Say, did you ever consider staying in Sandpoint? For good? I think it would be a better path for you. And who knows...you may find a reason to stay-"
Gwyddym Soarsong
Gwyd borrows a lute from the Cathedral and brings it with him to the Rusty Dragon. His heart lifts at the joviality of the crowd when he walks through the door. People are smiling and the food smells absolutely delicious.
Hi Ro! Gwys quips as he reaches the front of the line where his compatriot is helping to pass out food to the masses. He collects a plate of food and a tankard of mead and spots the collection of Godtouched. As he makes his way across the room, he tries to keep his ears open, listening to the crowd to gauge their emotion regarding the attacks and everything that's happened since.
Well met everyone! Gwyd says as he plops down in an open chair. After relieving himself of his foodstuffs, he unslings the lute case from his back and slides it under the chair. It's been so long since we last convened this austere group! His eyes twinkle at the last statement as he takes a hearty draw of the honey-sweet beverage.
Perception (trying to assess the crowd): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Windsight
Seems more like a Sense Motive check to me ... ;)
Francesca Brishen
As steam keeps gushing out of the kitchen even as the first boar is set out and presented for the line of eaters, out comes Fran, wearing an apron, and holding a large pot that she lays on a table besides the cooked boar. She then heads back in, and comes back out with another, smaller pot, leaving it right besides.
"Ladies and gents, to accompany today's bounty, we offer you graceful portions of freshly picked and cooked barley & mushroom casserole, along with a fruity sauce to add some extra taste to that luscious boar. Picked directly from the Tickwoods, for all!"
She wipes her forehead after working for a few hours in the Dragon's kitchens, and she took off her apron. She was tired, but felt good at getting to cook things herself for a change.
She grabbed two bowls, filled them with the casserole & sauce, and brought them to the group's table that had already had their boar and sat down, joining them.
"Oh, about time to devour all this. Let me know what you think. And Karmid, please, try to enjoy it without dried mud this time? I worked hard on all this."
Gwyddym Soarsong
@Windsight - I was going back and forth between Sense Motive and Perception. Sense Motive seemed like it would be the way to go if I was talking to a single person or actively engaged in a conversation. Given that I'm trying to pick up on conversations in the bustling tavern, I opted for the Perception to see if I can even hear any grumbling or fearful conversations. :) Silly skill checks.
Drasven Hammers
Drasven grins as he eyes the two bowls and slowly doles out a small portion for himself, savoring the aromatic mushroom stew.
Rojava Brishen
As Rojava distributes the plates of food, she keeps an eye out for Volioker. She hopes a dwarf fed well for free will react like most people she knows, and be in a particularly fine mood for being approached with a business proposition. She really wants to sew up the job request before Fran has any inkling that it hasn't yet actually been made.
Karmid Groundbreaker
Raising his mug of mead, Karmid waves it at Fran.
"There are some seasonings best left for special occasions my Lady Francesca!"
Turning back to Windsight, Karmid looks pensive as he picks up a nut.
"Is that Shoanti philosophy or just yours? My friend, for a Shoanti, you are one of the most dour people I have met so far
in my short life. I'll give you something back that is a tenent of Gozreh, and one I live very carefully by: Everything on
Golarion that lives and dies is part of Gozreh in the end and therefore part of the unending cycle he represents: So basically
we are all just compost waiting to happen. I find it quite funny really, don't you?"
With that Karmid will eat his nut and heads to the rear of the line to wait for his chance at the food. Although his fist-full
of stolen bread will be eaten with gusto along he way.
Xarmas Misinirith
Xarmas, having arrived late, is standing at the end of the line. She kept letting people go in front of her, until she stood at the end of the line. Thankfully, she does know patience, regardless of whether she practices it. She hears her friends chatting, and smiles. She finally has found a place she can settle in...at least for a while. Her wanderlust will likely take upon her again, but at least for now she is content.
As Karmid walks up to her, his loud voice inturrpts her musings.
"Hello, Mighty Karmid! Strong of Arm, Strong of Smell! Loud with Boasting, and even Louder with Clothing Choice!"
She chuckles at her joke, and gives him a welcoming smile.
"Coming back for thirds already?"
Karmid Groundbreaker
Smiling at Xarmas, Karmid snaps his fingers in Ro's general direction.
"I wish! Nah I was stymied by yon small blonde girl. She thinks we should wait our turn! Can you believe it?
Wait a sec. Hey...this is traditional Shoanti apparel I'll have you know! I can't help if it smells a little like a
tannery in Korvosa all the time..."
Karmid scratches his head as if an imaginary itch just came on, looks down at the ground, and actually seems a little hurt at the smell comment.
"...and I took a bath."
Windsight
Shaking his head with a slight smile on his face, Windsight lets the burly Karmid head to the food, waiting himself until most of the line is gone - meaning that most of the people who have come to the feast have gotten their bites. Karmid, of course, has returned by that point, and though Windsight rises to head to get his own food, he pauses behind the Gozreh-Touched. "If that is all you gain from that teaching, Karmid, you've further to go than I'd hoped. But ... I also hope that you'll get there." With a touch to Karmid's shoulder, he heads towards the mostly-ravaged banquet.
The food he returns with is not the choice bits, but it's sufficient for the man - sufficient and more, as a second sizeable bowl he carries, filled with the mushroom stew he'd seen the table's dwarf eating, he slides in front of Drasven. "Even outposts need reinforcement," he tells the dwarf.
Karmid Groundbreaker
Karmid will scrunch his face at the semi-compliment from Windsight as he eats. Suddenly he stands, raises his mead high overhead, and calls out across the entire gathered crowd.
"To HOPE! My favorite four letter word!"
Windsight
At the outburst, the reticent Shoanti can't help it - he bursts into laughter, as loud and large as Karmid could hope for from another of the Storval Plateau. Windsight finds a mug, gets something that isn't water into it, and lifts it in agreement: "To HOPE!" Still laughing, he downs the drink - even if it wasn't originally his own.

Sandpoint - the Rusty Dragon Pig Roast - Early Evening
Talene and Kira eventually make their way to the table as well enjoying in the feast and the playful banter.
Gwydd spends more time observing the crowd then his friends and is quite content to see that the townsfolk seem jovial, it seems this impromptu celebration has allowed everyone to forget the bad feelings and worse results that the attack left on the town. No doubt tomorrow will be a day for mourning those who died but tonight is a chance to honor their lives and the completion of the Cathedral that nourishes the spirit of Sandpoint as this meal nourishes their empty stomachs.
Aldern smiles at Lia as she pulls him aside, "Come see me when this roast ends tonight, I am staying at the White Deer". He moves along to speak with more townsfolk but Lia can see him glancing her way and smiling as the evening wears on.
Soon the light of day begins to fade twilight is upon the revelers. Ro keeps an eye out for Volioker who it seems is taking his sweet time in getting here, the one damn person she wants to see is the one damn person who shows up late!
Ameiko heads over to the table with a cup in hand, "Tal, special drink on the house from me and Lia, interested?" Talene scowls but can't hold her smile in.
Just as Tal is about to respond Ro sees the dwarf, before she can approach him though she sees an even more unusual sight. Longjiku Kaijitsu has come to the feast!
While the rest of the crowd is smiling and jovial though, he is not.
Ameiko puts her head in her hands and sighs, "It was such a good night too..."
When he reaches the table though he sees you all assembled and for a moment seems to forget about his daughter altogether, "Well, if it isn't the Gods' gift to Sandpoint, here to save an innocent young maiden from her filial responsibility! You scoundrels, vagabonds, and layabouts can't keep your noses out of anything can you?!? I hear old man Scarnetti's having trouble moving his bowels, why don't you go save him and stay the hells out of my business! Or just quit your vagrancy before you attract more trouble for this city! Godtouched, phah. All your abilities will do is encourage evil to come test you, when real evil comes I imagine you will all be found wanting, hiding behind the priestly garments of Father Zantus no doubt!"
