Zakgrob can hide under the bed in Nhati's cabin, never coming out, so that if you're able to rejoin the game later, you can pop back out. She'll throw food down there every so often, as long as Zakgrob doesn't eat her familiar.

Yeah, here's hoping Camris is OK.
Normally, I'd assume the GM went MIA and would give up after a few weeks. But having played with Camris for a few years now on this board, I know him to be a generally reliable poster.
I mention this in case anyone's tempted to give up on the game. Though on the slow side, I think we're off to an otherwise excellent start and would hate to see anyone else go. I remain hopeful that something's just up with him lately, and that he may still return.

I'm in IT in real life, and when I was repairing my desktop PC way back when I was a teen, I once forgot to turn off the power while working inside the desktop. A sudden blue-white spark of electricity from my the mobo to my screwdriver, and the lights went out in my part of the house when the circuit breaker tripped. I was left with the scent of burning plastic in my nostrils... and a smoldering little fire in the dark.
I've never done anything nearly as foolish again (in IT at least). Lol.

Lol, I guess I'm so used to snow it's not generally a huge deal for me, other than the traffic congestion when it gets really bad. I guess you get used to what you grow up with. I do like the snow, and think it's beautiful... though only for a few weeks. After which point it starts to get old real quick, lol.

Our winters here are just a little cold and VERY wet. It's pretty temperate so we sit between 40 and 50 American degrees most of the time. We'll get some cold stretches, but they usually are drier. Snow we see once a year for mmmmmaaaaayyyybbbeeee a day before it turns into slush. If it lasts longer than that we REALLY get socked(relatively) and everything shuts down till it goes away.
I used to really love it... until I had to become an adult and have to go to work in it. I really prefer it this way, winter is chilly, dark, and wet but never gets too bad, and summers are usually pretty good, we just don't tell the non locals.
We're supposed to get another few inches tomorrow night, I hear. It's been generally known to hit the teens or single digits some winter days here, with at least several snow storms or even a blizzard each year.
Nothing Sunny would ever want to even imagine much less experience, I'd guess. Lol.
On the other hand, we can't complain this year. Thanks to global warming no doubt, we had an unusually warm autumn. It felt like a cool summer well into November and even on some early December days.
It's a nice & "warm" 40 F degrees at the moment, though. :)

In my neck of the woods, it dropped below freezing on Christmas Eve and snowed a bit on Christmas Day. Looking at the extended forecast, the next day my area's scheduled to get above freezing in on 1/7/18. Here's a sampling of the projected High/Low Temperature for the next few days:

We get days of rilly high heat... then a sstorm rolls in and lowers the temp.. but put the humidity through the roof.. then the temps climb agin.
