Talsazzar hangs back, waiting to see if they creature falls soon. His magic wasnt incredibly effective to the creature, so keeps on alert just in case.

Talsazzar shrugs and tries throwing a bolt of fire at it.

with the help of the final 2 heroes, the tree goes down.
Heroes make it past the traps and out of the house alive. I would ask for a reflex saving throw, but everyone here can take up to 12 points of damage and still be concious, so no use.
As heroes look back they see the house start to sink into the ground and crumble, then it starts to rebuild itself slowly but surely, this might take a couple of days.
Heroes make it back to village of baravoia and get a long rest plus I'll tell you what the gold and other items you found in a little bit, including Strahd's Journal, feel free to roleplay.
"I'm still on the fire plan. Has anyone tried burning it to the ground? Perhaps leaving some embers in the rubble to catch the budding house aflame as well?"
"The evil rises again we will have to knock it down again. I agree with the burning."
Agotaras clearly has no idea what to do about the house. "Maybe an exorcism?"
sorry for being out
Ragna looks and listens I say we burn it down and crush whatever evil appears. And maybe the horned one and I can grab an ale?
Ragna looks around at the group and goes over his equipment preparing himself and if he can purchasing whatever else he needs.
"Perhaps the house itself is a giant ghost and just re-manifests itself.. If that's the case you would to cure the malevolence before it would stop rebuilding itself. Just a guess mind you.."
The heroes know that the house is under a curse is evil and people have tried everything including burning it. Nothing short of killing Strahd will break the curse. Even though Strahd had nothing to do with the house of making it what it is or cursing it, he is the entire curse to this place.
Zylfina stands quietly as the first boards begin to reassemble. "It may take time, but even this structure will succumb to death's embrace. I wish you luck with investigating this curse but the spirits call me elsewhere." Zylfina pulls her coat tight and departs into the night.
"Hmm, I suppose if fire won't work, then we should try to kill this Strahd guy. He seems like an unsavory fellow anyways.
Either that, or we build a box around the house, put an inn on top of the box, and make it a tourist destination. People will pay to see anything out of the ordinary."
"Strad is the womb of evil, well not the womb but the.. never mind."
Agotaras nods and then frowns as Fhern speaks.
"What kind of mind would profit from such evil. If destroying Strahd is the key then that is what I will do, not build an inn."
It is possible the dwarf has not picked up on the subtleties of the conversation.
Including the person who just quit, everyone gets 348.05 gold, 1 potion of healing each as there is enough for everyone.
To be divided out
2 cloaks of protection to hand out. 2 alchemist fires, 2 of each scroll: bless, protection from poison and spiritual weapon, the deed to the house (you can't sell it and one of strahd's journals, it is written in fancy cursive and harder to show you online than at tabletop, but it basically says he did not support the house or the cult. He is still tied to its evil in a way.
On your log sheets. Adventure name, death house, session number 1. Exp, you started at 0 and you gained 1,000. Gold gained is 348.05 and total is 348.05 plus whatever you started with after beginning purchases. Downtime is 10, renown is 1. Under notes any additional treasure you gained, like the potion of healing. And divided up the 2 cloaks of protection.
There is also a spellbook for anyone who can use spellbooks.
1st: disguise self, identify, mage armor, magic missile, protection from evil and good.
2nd: darkvision, hold person, invisibility, magic weapon
I hope to stay off the front line, so I don't need a cloak as much. I already launch fire, so I don't need the alch fire. I guess I won't usually be preparing protection from poison, so I'll take a scroll of that, just in case.
I would not mind a cloak as I plan to be up in the think of things. The rest of the stuff I am not so worried about.
Is there an opportunity to use some of that new gold on heavier armor in the downtime?
"Aye horn woman. Best not to let this evil linger."
Fang and agotaras you are the only two that requested the cloak, so you get it. As far as the rest of the items, I've seen no arguement, so everyone gets the consumables they requested. Don't forget that everyone has a potion of healing they recovered from death house, you might need it in this land.
Yes you can buy items here
When the heroes get back to the town, they discover almost all of the town except for the shop seems to be abondoned. A citizen comes up to you all, help us, we got 4 skeletons, and 5 strahd zombies roaming the place up north
"Zombies! Of the things I hate, and there are a lot, zombies top the list. Which way so I may show them righteous might of Helm."
Clearly his wanting to buy armor will wait, also just looked up what plate cost so may skip that idea.
"Whats the difference?" Talsazzar asks, confused.

"...How long were we in that house? You guys haven't chased me off yet, so why not, I'll stick around and blast a few zombies with ya!"
Would to pick up some battlerager armor while in town
Ragna hears this and pulls outs his axe again. Where are the foul strad things that we must kill? At this points he moves over Cherry really getting a good look at her and the rest of the group.
We can assume you guys had a minute to two to pick up whatever you need in town before this went on. Fhern you know you where in the house for approximately three hours
The sky as you can all see is covered with clouds or at least mist high in the sky, there is no sunlight in all of Ravenloft, at least not while Strahd is alive, there is no sunlight, even during the day, this land never sees the sun. It is daytime however. The citizen leads you to the area that is being attacked. Just then A dark black cloud with dark purple stripes enters the area and it is traveling fast. You hear citizens shout. Everyone in quickly, and those that work into the antitoxin building, get in here quickly so we can destroy the gas cloud. Just then it starts raining Purple and black colored water. The citizen that lead you here doesn't make in to cover fast enough, as well as one other citizen off to your right. You see them turn into ghouls. As you feel the rain fall, you feel like you are immune to whatever virus or disease is in that rain. Don't worry the clouds have effect on PCs. It is raining however, so if anyone is a wood elf, mask of the wild applies here.

Agotaras, Orsik and Talsazzar are up
It's awkward because I'm going late, but my intention is to lay down Spike Growth in the area between us and the mass of undead.
Spike Growth causes difficult terrain and 2d4 dmg per 5 ft moved.
"Mind the spikes, let them come to us!"
Talsazzar will hold, preparing to cast Green Flame Blade if a zombie gets close enough to him.
Nah, I'll buy the armor after this mess is over.
"Let the Helm watch over us all!" After shouting the short prayer, Orsik takes his trusty warhammer in the hand and strikes his shield with it.
Bless for Ragnaganon, Agotaras and Fang. Add d4 to your attack rolls and saving throws.
Concentrating on: Bless (10/10 rounds, Targets: Ragnaganon, Agotaras, Fang, Effect: Add d4 to your attack rolls and saving throws)
All I would like to buy is a silver weapon, maybe a silver warhammer? No idea what that would cost.
"Ahh you poor people, turned to this... I will give you the rest of the righteous."
Agoraras advances on the closet ghoul and swings with his longsword.
Longsword: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
"Blast it, stop moving."
Is this still the same day or have we rested? I would like to buy studded leather and sell my normal leather. I assume selling is at 1/2 price? Also were there any magical items at the shop? Potions or Scrolls?
same day cherry, though you'll get a rest after this fight
While Orsik blesses, Agotaras still can't hit a ghoul
Ragnaganon hits a zombie hard part: 1d20 ⇒ 12 an arm falls off the zombie, but the arm is still active.
Skeletons and ghouls go, skeletons can't get to heroes in a single move, so they use bows, except on who reaches Rag
bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 all versus Agotaras
shortsword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 vs rag
ghouls go bite: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (15) = 17 claw: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (13) = 15 vs cherry
bite: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (14) = 16 claw: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (3) = 5 vs Talasazzar
Cherry takes dmg: 2d6 + 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + (1, 4) + 4 = 15 make a con save of 10 or be paralyzed for 1 minute
Tal takes dmg: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 5) + 2 = 11
Rest of the heroes are up Fhern, the enemies moved by the time it got to you, you might want to change where you place that ring.
The map is now at the top of the page.
Con: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
As a reaction she casts Hellish Rebuke via Infernal Legacy on the ghoul.
Fire Damage: 3d10 ⇒ (7, 4, 4) = 15 Dex save DC 13 for half..
On her turn she casts Protection from Evil giving disadvantage to undead attacking her and as a bonus action casts Healing Word..
Heals: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
"Some help over here would be nice!"
Seeing Cherry and Tal take damage Agotaras steps squarly into the middle of a group of enemies belowing.
"Evil creatures face me for I am the one who will bring doom to you."
as he brings his sword toward the Ghoul to his south.
Longsword: 1d20 + 3 + 1d4 ⇒ (13) + 3 + (3) = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Talsazzar grimaces in pain, several of his teeth looking draconic more than elven. He repositions to get an advantage with Agotaras and stabs at the ghoul that hurt him.
Flanking with Agotaras
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Advantage: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Piercing Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
After reading up there's no point to using green flame blade cause it doesn't hit the primary target.
"Foul creature! How DARE you sully Talsazzar's majesty!" the sorcerer bellows.
I re positioned the spikes, but it still seems like a solid action.
