Are you tough enough to brave the yearly sojourn to the Crypt of the Everflame? The city of Kassen calls out for young adventurers to bring back another flame to last the year through.
What to expect during this PFS sanctioned module:
- A GM with an odd sense of humor
- PFS credit (3 xp)
- Posting at least once per day - weekends will be slower
- Four - five players
- I will post initiatives and some saves, it speeds things up
- Role-playing is encouraged but not governed, feel free to delve the depths but I will keep the mod moving along
What I expect of the players:
- PFS legal character and play
- An avatar and stats within your character's profile
- Posting at least once per day - weekends vary
- A sense of humor
- Role-playing
- Character history which supports your actions

It was a joke, I'd have to make an arcanist for this game first. Or take an old alias of mine and remake it.

I have something in mind, but he will suffer an arcane spell failure chance.
Are you opposed to sorcerer taking light armor proficiency, who are okay with spell failure chance of say 20%? He will probably take the feat at level 3 that allows me to reduce this by 10% as a swift action. Not sure if you prefer sorcerers that accept a spell failure chance of 0%.
@DoubleGold, I'll need to mull that over.
If anything, I can always drop down to leather armor for 10% chance, then when I qualify for that feat go up to chain shirt, though I might have enough gold to buy mithril and take that feat that reduces arcane spell failure by 10%, putting it back down to 0%.
Well, I *do* have a beat-stick Barbarian that I could bring for this :-)
I have a half orc Warpriest, aasimar paladin archer, and a halfling summoner to offer if you need another player :). Let me know.
Chuffy here, for some more information about the characters.
The halfling is one of the funnest, he is a slave from Cheliax who is a direct link for his eidolon which I reformed into a devil. So the devil is almost the real character, the poor halfling is just his slave (don't worry I play LN not LE). Fun rping with those two, btw the halfling rides the eidolon into battle.
The warpriest is a priesteress of Calistria who believes that she is very pretty and that all people should cooperate with her just because of her beauty. If they don't she starts cracking the whip. She's not very smart, but very arrogant which will lead to funny situations.
The aasimar is a little dim witted but believes in doing good where he can. He is one of those characters that will help evil ones if they can convince him that it is for the greater good. Up to a certain degree of course.
I don't have the statistics online atm, but can put them up once you picked a character. Like I did with Chuffy for the goblins play.

A badly scarred Tengu walks into the recruitment thread, the feathers growing back on more than half of his body are still singed a growing back in terrible condition. He carries very little on his person but brandishes twin Wakizashis as he enters the thread. He looks around the room with his rheumy yellow eyes, the muscles in his face contort in pain as he attempts to open his gnarled beak. A distressed gravelly voice erupts from his maw.
"The name is Daijiro, I am looking for my brother Ayaki. He disappeared when out rookery caught on fire. I heard he travelled to Avistan."
His talons tremble as he thinks of the flames that nearly took his life.
"I heard word that a tengu was seen here in Kassen lately, My brother has a reputation for delving into dungeons and I thought maybe he would be found here. Since our father died, I fear he may be all of the family I have left."

I'm fine with using Taalaako, but if the party thinks there's a different niche that needs to be filled I'm more than happy to type up the other characters, I have only used each of them for in-person games so I had no need to write up full profiles for them. (I'm fairly new to this PbP stuff! :-D )

Here is the sorcerer, I was going to use him for legacy of fire, but since the DM has already choosen recruitment, here he is and I updated him to fit this campaign.
Also here is the story summed up, the other DM did not understand at first, but then it made sense to her after deep explanation.
Mordack is a human being, but he is also a Demonic soul thousands of years old. The theme...reincarnation.
Have you ever seen the movie Fallen? It is a movie where a Demonic soul wanders Earth and possess another Human when that human dies, or possess another human body upon touch. And when the Fallen leaves the body, it must find a new one quickly. Well this character was inspired by that movie, only this is a good Demon.
Part 1 of Backstory summed up.
Mordack is a half-breed Demon born in Hell that rebelled against Hell and its Demons. They could not kill his immortal soul, because he would get reincarnated upon death, so instead they kicked him out of Hell, where his soul wandered Earth permanently. Upon death Mordack has to find a new body, by means of being born again, which means his soul could travel for minutes or it could travel months or years before he is reincarnated. He remembers most of everything that happened to him in Hell.
Part 2 of Backstory summed up
Mordack chose to reincarnate under a human body in Kassen. He is an 18 year old human being, but his soul is thousands of years old. He does have special powers from being a Demon, but he is limited as to what he can do with the human body he chose. Part 2 of his Backstory talks about his life as a human being and about his life in Kassen. What he did there, what he learned there and how his life was like there, including any traveling or vacationing he did.

If this is still open, I'd like to toss my name in the hat for consideration. A pretty standard fighter... if a little bit of a wonky backstory. Still, he works. And he's a fighter! Who doesn't love head breakers?
I've got the stat side of things taken care of, but his history needs to be filled in. I've got his backstory figured out mostly, it and his personality need to be rounded out.

Those are the words that spring to mind when Nadil thinks back to the time he spent in that damnable desert monastery.
Born a weavers son in the holy city of Gurat, Nadil was content with living a simple life of hard work and familial bliss. All the was to change though. As he reached adolescence at the remarkable age of twenty, his skin dried and cracked, his eyes turned yellow like the desert sun and he started to display mystical abilities. Seeing this as a sign from the gods, his father immediately sent him off to the Order of the Thrice-bound Spirit, one of many such monasteries dotting the Zho mountains. Here, it was revealed to him, through many years of meditation and herb induced trances, that his soul was not of this plane of reality. Inside his being, his very essence, lay the soul of a shaitan, an earth spirit. This revelation changed everything...
Many of years later, Nadil had grown tired of the monastic life. The fact that he was a shaitan bound in a human body, had granted him a near reverential status within the order. This strained the erstwhile pious Nadil, who did in no way enjoy being the focus of devotion. The feelings of resentment grew, and finally reached a furious crescendo when he realized that he could project an image of his soul onto the material plane. With his new found powers, Nadil forcibly escaped the monastery, and fled to his half forgotten home in Gurat. But there, only sorrow was to be found. His years away from home had been far more numerous than he had realized. 57 years. 57 years since his kind, pious father had sent him away. In despair he fled Gurat, now a foreign city to him, and joined a caravan bound for Katheer.
Several years later, after much travel throughout the eastern end of the Inner Sea, Nadil found himself in the Foreign Quarter of Absalom, on the steps of the Grand Lodge itself, hoping that the most eclectic gathering of peoples on the face of Golarion might just have a place he can call home...
