Speaking of gameday recruitment...
My table for The Absalom Initiation looks like it is ready. Could the following people please check into the discussion thread. Feel free to pop a post into gameplay too if you want. I know we don't have the rule books yet, but it would be nice to get you checked in as a player so you don't miss anything when we go live. With the rules set to drop in a little over a week, I imagine there will be a bit of discussion about rules and character builds as well.

Apologies to those who have been waiting for an 'official' announcement but unlimited player signups for PbP Gameday VIII are now open. This means that you may sign up to play as many games as you think you can handle*. That said, please take care to be responsible and avoid signing up for more than you can reasonably keep up with as it can become quite the burden on your fellow GMs and players to have people dropping out mid-game.
You can find the signup spreadsheet for games here.
Enjoy and Happy Gaming!
______________
*Though SFS #2-00 Fate of the Scoured God may be played for credit once in each tier, we are currently restricting players to one signup for Gameday. We plan to offer this particular special again in the not-too-distant future and would rather not see the majority of our SFS players burn through their opportunities to play it all in one shot.

Will it be here if I plan to be a player in a PbP of the Adventure Path?
Thanks.
Just cause I want to know what Dming Pathfinder version 2 of a book is like, for the first book of the adventure path and only the first book of the adventure path, I will be dming it. Normal character creation rules. I do not plan on continuing past the first book cause I'm Dming several other APs. I will start as soon as possible or when I get a team of 4 to 6.

[PFS 2E] Quest #1A - The Sandstone Secret
A Pathfinder 2E Society Scenario designed for levels 1–4 (Subtiers 1–2 and 3–4).
When the Pathfinder Society receives word of a promising, unexplored ruin in Osirion, the PCs set out to uncover the site's secrets.
Yet upon arriving, the PCs learn that a different group of Pathfinders has already entered the ruins.
Has there been some mistake, is the site's magic playing tricks on everyone, or is there something more nefarious afoot?

I have one spot open for this Quest.
At one hour tabletop, this short scenario will be over before Gameday VIII, even taking into account that we (especially me) shall be learning the new PFS 2E rules.
I will first give this spot to anyone new to PbP and wishing to try this (cool) style of gaming out.
Otherwise, to any wishing to venture into the sands of Osirion.

Venture-captain Norden Balentiir requests the presence of Emilio Torres at the Sandswept Hall, the Pathfinder lodge in Sothis, capital-city of Osirion.
Passage on a ship has been booked for you.

Most of my players for #1-01 Absalom Initiation have already checked in. I'm just missing Yogadragon at this point.
I've also had one slot become available. If anyone is interested in #1-01 The Absalom Initiation for Pathfinder 2E, you can still sign up. Please add your name to the signup sheet (here) and check into the discussion thread (here).

I'm running 1-02 The Mosquito Witch for Game Day. Sign ups are on line 76 on the FCFS sheet

A quick call out for Jeff Chapman who is signed up to my GD table of The Absalom Initiation. We don't start for a couple of weeks, but you are the last person to check into the table.

Correct. That is a 5th level scenario that can only be played with the 6 available 5th level pregens.
It grants a 5th level chronicle, although it can be downgraded to apply to a 1st level character (change the value of a treasure bundle from 10 gp to 1.4 gp). Also, you do not gain access to the boons granted on the chronicle until you reach 5th level.

Since, presumably, it will be a minute before people start reaching 5th level, is there any drawback you can see to not just applying it to a level 1?

I don't see any drawbacks.
I am interested, so I will PM you as requested, batpony.

Not a significant one in my opinion: waiting longer to get you from 5th to 6th as you wait for a third scenario of the appropriate tier to be published (this effect will be more significant if you aren't focusing on one character as scenarios are released).

Still interested in playing. Do you have to have a free character to apply it to, as the only one I have is currently signed up for gameday.
You don’t necessarily need to apply the credit if you don’t want to! But since you’re playing with a pregen you could assign to your character in game, but the benefits only apply after your character completes his current game.
With Rewolfe77 it will be 4 players by my count including cybermemphit! So we’re good for a table. Will post up link for table soon.

You cannot play in two Play-by-Post games (or a Play-by-Post game and a live game) with the same character number receiving credit at the same time. Your character is considered occupied, whether you're playing a pregen or not, just as if you were playing a multi-session Adventure Path.
Among many other issues (such as playing a pregen in 6 different games at the same time in order to jump one character 2 levels in less time), this avoids the confusion that occurs if your character dies in one session while that character is still active in another.
EDIT: But you can apply pregen credit to a different character number.

caps |

It has been one character in a game at a time since time immemorial.
Yes, but whether or not that prevents you from applying pregen credit to a character that was in a scenario overlapping with the pregen being in a scenario doesn't necessarily follow from that statement either way.

Let's look back at the history of this, and hopefully that will help everyone.
It has (as far as I know) always been true that you could only have a character in one game at a time. Several years ago, this wasn't a problem with playing pregens, because you didn't choose where to apply your pregen credit until after the adventure. Then, the rules changed and you had to choose who got the pregen credit at the start of the adventure. Due to how things were worded, that meant that the character who was going to get the credit counted as 'in a game,' including for the rule of only one game at a time per character.
I cannot say for sure yet about how this applies to PF2 games, because I have not been able to carefully digest the rules yet. Hopefully that background will explain the discussion about PF1, however.

GM Hmm |

The only exceptions to the "You can't get credit for 2 games at once" are:
1) GM credit.
You may of course apply multiple GM credits to a character in a PBP when the PBP ends.
2) Campaign Mode credit.
Characters in campaign mode don't play by organized play rules, and the credit applies at the end of the game to the character of your choice. Nothing that happens in a campaign mode game -- death, conditions, whatever -- happens to your real character.
For everything else: one game at a time.
Hmm

I'm running a table of Absalom Initiation for the PbP Gameday! Then primary intent is to try and get new players that aren't familiar with PbP some experience with the format, the secondary intent is to have some fun with the new system! I currently have four players, but if you're interested, let me know HERE

I tried to follow your link and it takes me to a strange (to me) website called Atlassian and requires me to login. Is your link correct?

***Announcement***
As of today (Tuesday, August 20th) we are no longer accepting table submissions for PbP Gameday VIII unless you have already mustered a legal table on your own. As long as you have a legal table you may still submit your game using the submission form under the Other Recruitment heading. You may also continue to recruit for a table that is not full even after submitting your table to the table listing (i.e. a GM finds 4 players & submits the game - you may still look for 2 more players to fill the table.)
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Less than a week to go, woo!
Cheers,
Lady Ladile

Since all the PFS 2E games seem to be full, with some going with 7 players, I am offering to GM The Sandstone Secret for Game Day VIII, in case there is more desire for 2nd Edition.
I will be taking 4 to 6 players (I have a couple people who were looking for a game so have PMed them to see if they are interested).
Otherwise I will mainly take it as first come first served, with one caveat: I will give priority to people who are not already in any games.

[PFS 2E] Scenario #1-03 - Escaping the Grave
A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1–4 (Subtiers 1–2 and 3–4).
The Whispering Tyrant has escaped Gallowspire and ravaged the lands of Lastwall. Although the nation managed to evacuate many civilians, there are still refugees, Pathfinders, and irreplaceable cultural treasures trapped in this undead-ridden realm known as the Gravelands. The PCs are part of the Society's efforts to infiltrate these dangerous lands, rescue the Pathfinders missing in action, and recover what historical texts and treasures they can. Just be quick! Every hour behind enemy lines increases the chance a nearby army learns of the PCs' mission.

There is still one spot available in GM Blake's game (line 79) so I imagine there is no one interested in playing this during Game Day VIII.
I had planned to offer it, so if enough people (beyond someone signing up for Blake's game) say they are interested, I will run it...

GM Wayfinder |

The table is now complete for [PFS 2E] Quest #1A - The Sandstone Secret, thanks to the valiant adventurers who decided to depart for Osirion with me.
As for [PFS 2E] Scenario #1-03 - Escaping the Grave (link in the post above), GM Blake's table is now full.
So, if a handful of adventurers are interested (speak up here) I will run the scenario for Game Day VIII.
