The table is now complete for [PFS 2E] Quest #1A - The Sandstone Secret, thanks to the valiant adventurers who decided to depart for Osirion with me.

As for [PFS 2E] Scenario #1-03 - Escaping the Grave (link in the post above), GM Blake's table is now full.
So, if a handful of adventurers are interested (speak up here) I will run the scenario for Game Day VIII.

I'd like to play this.

I would be in for this as well.

Okay, guys.
We have three:
• zer0darkfire
• SodiumTelluride
• PjP
So I'll make a page and set the game up, and we'll run the scenario.
I'm sure we'll find a fourth or more.
Thanks for playing!

I can be that fourth!

We have a legal table with:
• zer0darkfire
• SodiumTelluride
• PjP
• Dax Thura
I will set the game page up a.s.a.p. -- but, as you know or probably know, the Game Day has been postponed by a couple weeks (till 09 Sept 2019).

Dark Archive

Am I allowed to run a 2e game that has nothing to do with gameday? Looking at possibly running 1-02 Mosquito Witch, but I've only been saying gameday games posted.

^Absolutely! Recruiting for 'regular' games often slows way down during our online conventions - for understandable reasons! Still, it can be a real bummer for people new to the lodges who are too late to get into a convention game and can't find any non-convention tables to join because no one is offering any. So please feel free to recruit for your game - just be sure to specify that it won't be associated with Gameday so potential players aren't confused :)

Cheers,

You are requested to travel to Caliphas, in Ustalav in order to be part of #1-03 Escaping the Grave.

I will be filling out the Gameplay out with the introduction in a bit, since we have a couple extra weeks (so just dot and delete w/o posting there for now, please).

Still two spots available if people are interested (will start in two weeks with Game Day VIII).

With the delay of the start of Gameday, I am willing to offer another table of 1-03 Escaping the Grave if GM Wayfinder ends up with overflow. If that doesn't happen, I'll wait a bit and offer it later.

I should have four players, and am fine running it as such for others to go with GM Rinaldo if we have four more interested in the next two weeks, to have both additional tables.

I'd be willing to join. Should I roll up another character or can I use on that is signed up for a gameday game.

@RedWolfe77: my game of Escaping the Grave is a Game Day one, as is the game Rinaldo is offering, thus you need another character than one you are playing in the Game Day fun already.

This is NOT a Game Day game.

[PFS 2E] Quest #1A - The Sandstone Secret

A Pathfinder 2E Society Scenario designed for levels 1–4 (Subtiers 1–2 and 3–4).

When the Pathfinder Society receives word of a promising, unexplored ruin in Osirion, the PCs set out to uncover the site's secrets.
Yet upon arriving, the PCs learn that a different group of Pathfinders has already entered the ruins.
Has there been some mistake, is the site's magic playing tricks on everyone, or is there something more nefarious afoot?

Written by Linda Zayas-Palmer.

Scenario Tags: Repeatable.

Since the Game Day has been pushed back by two weeks, I am offering a short Quest (1 hour tabletop time) to be played before the Game Day starts.

I will reserve one spot for echoxero if he wants, and should have 2 or 3 other people who are signing in already.
Thus I will take 2 to 4 people.

The link: --> Sandstone Secret <--

How do Quests work in 2e? Like how much XP and other things do you get from them?

ohh ohh, pick me , pick me!

I have not yet played Q1A

Same, I would like to take part as well.

@SodiumTelluride: Quests are meant to play in one hour tabletop.
(obviously, when creating characters and new to PFS 2E it takes more time)
My feeling is that it would take between 1 week (once people are more "fluent" in PFS 2E) and 2 weeks (now) to play on in PbP.

If successful you earn 1 XP, 1 FAME, 1 REPUTATION, some Gold, some Boon on the Chronicle sheet, and the joy of having completed your mission as a Pathfinder for the glory of the Society!

Seeing as I had people sign up via the link, before those posting here, I only have one spot left, so will go with Pirate Rob as first come first served.

I'll tell Z...D... if I have someone drop out.

So, recruitment closed for this, with a full table.

Thanks a lot for the interest.

If you've signed up thinking it was for the Paizo boards and do not wish to play via Play-by-Discord, please let me know. Otherwise, DM me on Discord @zebeev#0269 and we can get you set up.

If I do not hear from you by Friday, Sept. 6th by 11:59pm, I have been given the go-ahead to recruit replacements for those slots.

^I know that JamZilla and Ictoo are pretty new to Organized Play and may not know to watch this campaign thread so I sent them a PM to check in :)

Yes, I was able to find a few profiles to PM; no replies so far.

GM zebeev, I'm not very familiar with Play-by-Discord but if a spot is open on any of your Absalom Initiation run, may I hop in?

Discord is a great site where you can text or voice chat with other gamers. Used in conjunction with a VTT, like google slides or Roll20, you can run games too. It is free and has a massively robust gaming community.

Here is a link to the Roll for Combat server on Discord.

I am Dax Thura over there too. Look me up if you need help or just ask around. There's always someone willing to help.

Grand Lodge

I had a player bow out of my 2nd edition game for The Mosquito Witch leaving four players, I would like to find one more player to bring the number up to five.

If you are ready to jump in and start playing there is a slot open in The Mosquito Witch {link}. First to post can claim it.

Thanks.

Grand Lodge

And the slot is filled.

Thanks.

It is possible that a GM could ask you if you would like to fill in for a no show, though!

GMs if anything opens at a low level game, that would be great!

Hmm

I'll try out running a game of 2e now that I've played a couple.

Reserving a spot for echoxero, otherwise there are five open spots.

Starting ASAP.
This is not a gameday/convention game.
This is for the horror version of Mosquito Witch. I'll be doing my best to really make the game have the appropriate horror feel because it sounds like it would be fun to try in PbP. (It was fun doing a horror version of Penumbral Accords in PbP)

No wonder I don't have any players yet, I posted in discussion!

Due to low availability of players based on the current Gameday, I'll be postponing this game until after more gameday games end. Thanks!

I would've been interested, but Mosquito Witch is literally the only 2e scenario I've already played.

I wanted to know if there is or are anyone who is a newcomer to Pathfinder 2E or to PbP--
--and, if so, interested in learning the new rules of PFS 2E or PbP?

I could run Torment and Legacy: A Pathfinder Second Edition Demo Adventure by Stephen Radney-MacFarland, which is a short adventure designed to present the game to newcomers, showcasing the new rules in a quick and fun manner.
On tabletop, this adventure can be run for four players within an hour, which gives you enough time to explain the basic rules of the game to your players before throwing them into the jaws of grand adventure.
I would imagine a good two weeks here on PbP, with taking time to explain the pregenerated characters, or making your own, and explaining the rules.

This is a Paizo product, but not a PFS game, giving no Credit nor Chronicle sheet.

So, if you are a newcomer, and interested, speak up...

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Maps Subscriber

All are welcome to apply for my homebrew campaign, Terra Nova linked here.. Some brave adventurers have already set off on their own adventures in this world, but there is always room for more.

It is not PFS, but its PF2 ruleset homebrew. A bit different than you might have seen, but recruitment is always open and no one, who can make a PF2 legal character, will be turned away.

Check it out if interested.

I am very much a newcomer: to these forums, to PF2E, etc. Not sure if you received any other interest, but this sounds ideal to me. If nothing else, if anyone has any recommendations for getting my feet wet, that'd be much appreciated!

Hello and welcome steinkrug!

No one else showed interest, but I can run this for you if others are interested, or else we will find something else to get you started.

Thanks for the welcome! I've poked around a bit more and I see that Gameday is going on so I understand folks might be a bit busy. Anyway, figured I'd speak up and say hello and I'll keep my eyes open.

I am glad that you spoke up! Welcome to our community!

If someone does start a game soon please reserve a seat for Steinkrug!

Welcome, steinkrug!

You mention that you're new to the forums, PF2E, etc. I'm not sure how much experience you may or may not have with PF1E or Organized Play in particular but if you've got the time, I have a few links for you that will hopefully help:

Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild Guide (1st Edition Pathfinder)

Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild Guide (2nd Edition Pathfinder)

Definitely give the guild guides a read as you're able, as they explain how Society play works, how to create your characters to be compatible for Society games, etc. Another link that might be useful to you is this - Getting Ready for PFS PbP. This will take you to a post which contains several useful bits of information, including how-to-guides, for people who are looking to start playing PFS via PbP. I highly recommend giving them a look when you have the time!

In regards to getting your character profiles set up and actually navigating a PbP campaign, this set of PbP Workshop Slides does a fantastic job of explaining what is what.

Finally, please feel free to pose any questions you might have over in the lodge's Discussion thread. We've got a great bunch of GMs and players here and everyone's always happy to jump in and help answer questions and offer advice.

Happy to have you and I hope you enjoy yourself :)

P.S. We also have lodges here on the Paizo forums for:

Pathfinder Society 1st Edition - The Flaxseed Lodge
Starfinder Society - Castamir's Flaxseed Station
Pathfinder Adventure Card Society - Flaxseed On Deck

You can also find Organized Play (PFS 1st & 2nd Edition, SFS) PbP and PbD (Play-by-Discord) games at these locations:

Myth Weavers
RPGgeek
Roll for Combat (Discord)
Cosmic Crittermanders (Discord)

Thanks everyone!

Lady Ladile, I appreciate all the information. I'll dig in and check everything out as I am able.

Looks like there's plenty to digest so I'm in no rush to jump in before I'm ready. :)

If something starts, jump in, though.
PbP is slow paced, so you can read things before posting etc..
And the GM and players will most probably be there to help you.

Hi there everyone!

Is anyone willing and able to run one (or more) of the following PF2 scenarios?

-The Sandstone Secret
-Escaping the Grave
-The Mosquito Witch

If possible it would much appreciated, since I need to get some practice with the new rules and I'm sure a lot of other people do...

Sure, why not? ;-)

Announcing open recruitment for scenario 1-03: Escaping the Grave.

well I'm excited to hop back into PFS after a long hiatus due to a whole bunch of stuff. And a brand new edition to rack up cool stuff in!

Recruitment for Escaping the Grave is closed, two tables getting started.

Are there any openings in PFS 2e games at the moment? I'm intrigued to try it out.
